I think Mike Davis for sure is starting I think the battle is between Forbes and st. Juste
I like Forbes. I think he is going to shine this year.
St juste is slow for corner. Move him to safety
Emmanuel is a very smart player and will better this year.
mike davis struggles when playing in zone however man to man is what he do best
Forbes only issues are eye discipline and willingness to tackle. The 1st part is an easy fix but i don't want to see any more business decisions downfield
I think Forbes size compromises his ability to be a regular starter in the NFL over 17 games. If his cover skills are better in 2024 I can see him carving out a nickel corner type role for himself and perhaps a matchup corner against certain receivers. At 171 he is not going to be able to handle the top receivers on the outside off the line of scrimmage, I think we saw that last year. In Forbes case, I think Washington and Rivera looked at his college production but didn't factor in there are certain players who excel at the college level but don't project based on size, speed, football IQ, etc. to having the same impact in the NFL.
I am nit worried about Forbes. Our DBs where flying blind last year. With guidance I believe you will see Forbes have a much better year. Our entire backfield will look much better i believe.
I keep telling people he was coached wrong, but these fans just don't know anything about football. We need to leave the past in the past!!

I really hope the coaches can help Forbes live up to his potential. It would be great for team. Personally, I’m not invested into his success and have always seen him as situational due to his size. …I would have never picked him that high. …but what do I know??

I know I have criticized Forbes. But I am not high on St. Juste. St. Juste tends to commit penalties at the wrong time every single time. His 11 penalties led the team, and they were in the top five in the NFL. 105 of his 115 penalty yards were Defensive Pass Interference and Face Masks. Those are killer penalties. Players who consistently make critical mistakes at critical times give me pause. Davis may have the inside track for one of these spots, but there's a real chance the CB room is getting heavily revamped in the next FA/Draft period. It's their weakest spot (on paper) defensively.

Forbes could and should be better than last year. What fans are getting tired of, are the shear number of those "IF" players when we got the $ and FAs available that ARE better. CB: Gilmore......LT: Bakhtiari........Edge: Ogbah.....? This front office seam to be wearing blinders in an effort to roll over $ until 2027. If Harris wants to turn this team around, that means BUTTS in SEATs. Bring in Bakhtiari, Gilmore, and trade for BA! You would have a LINE around the block for tickets. But fans gonna "roll" our $$ over until the front office stops.
Hmm, There's gotta be a reason why Bakhtiari and Gilmore have not been signed by anyone yet. I would run away from signing Bakhtiari since I'm looking for someone who can stay on the field longer than 3 games before going on IR. Gilmore might one good year in him but maybe he doesn't want to use it up on a rebuild. Finally, the Commanders are not going to sign Aiyuk. As a GM, you never pay elite $$ to two players playing the same position. End of story. The 49ers have him under contract for another year and there's nothing he can do until 2025. Gotta learn the front office game my man!
