Hey my friend 🙂, I hope you're doing well, I have the same guitar, I wanted a different JEM from the ones people here usually had, so I got it, however, when I use distortions, the pickups generate feedback, I took it to a luthier and he waxed the bridge pickup and improved it a little, but I don't know about that, it's still bad, I've already checked to see if the Di Marzios were changed, but they weren't, I've used all kinds of distortion, (from amplifiers, pedals, multi-effects) and it always ends up on the same path of feedback 😔, does yours do this?, or if any musician here in the comments also has an Ibanez JEM 7 BSB, could you tell me if this is normal?, I'm thinking about changing the pickups 🥹🙈, anyway, I hope you can help, hugs from Brazil and stay well 🥹
Hi there, I haven't used this guitar very much in recent years, and I've never gigged with it, so I'm probably not in the best position to comment on the pickups. I've used it to record with on a few occasions, but only straight to DAW. I've not experienced any unwarranted feedback problems. (Usually when I use this guitar, it is for the tremolo arm..which is superb). Mine does need to be set up though, so when I do that, I'll give it a thorough check and report back. Hope you get yours sorted ;...and maybe someone else will add their thoughts at some point. Thanks for watching the video ;)
