'Art of Love' written by Lauren Cato & Quason Matthews, follows the relationship of a young couple who express the meanings of love from their own unique perspectives. The film aims to explore the true meaning of a often misunderstood word 'Love'. Actor Duayne Boa represents the male point of view while Lauren Cato plays the role of a committed partner. I really liked the concept of talking about love from the millennial perception, however the expression in this short film was pretty uniformed (by gender specific) to the usual thoughts on love. I feel like when life throws us life changing challenges to our breaking point, our love ones sometimes interrupts the learning/healing process by feeling acting responsible for that process. I love that we are talking about love, but I don't love that we talk about it as a male love and a female Love not an indivisual or circumstantial love.
