Thank you 🥰!! We were surprised at how nicely it turned out, after all, we’d never had or made plum jam before... but after trying this one, I think we’ll be making it from now on! Pudding video’s on its way 😉 You have a lovely week! ♥️ 💕 Miss. HD
It was absolutely gorgeous - the colour, the taste... wow! We’d never actually tried plum jam before, but after having a go at this recipe I reckon it’s going to end up being our go-to jam from now on. We’ll have to plant a plum tree, haha! 💕 Miss. HD
Very unusual way of making jam - especially with the addition of the kernels - and it was very interesting to watch. I cannot wait for the jam roly poly recipe. That's another one of the little brother's faves. Mine too! At this rate I'll have tons of cooking to do on my next visit home! Haha! xx
Oh no, at this rate you won’t see outside of the kitchen! Make sure you pace yourself and get someone to make you your favourite dishes too 😉. Well, we made the roly-poly on Sunday and if we were going to advise anything at all on this one it’d have to be to tell everyone expecting pudding to make sure the save room for it because we are talking proper old-fashioned ‘I’ve just worked a 12 hour day labouring with hardly any food and now I’m home, half dead, I really need to eat’ stodge! That said, it was blooming lovely 😋 💕 Miss. HD
@@handeddownkitchen8192 So what you're saying is I'll only need one (big) slice of jam roly-poly (with custard of course) and that'll be me done for the rest of the day! No probs! Well as my mum is always stuck in the kitchen (by choice) this might be the only real chance I get to hang out with her. Plus she loves learning new recipes and I can't wait to show her HDK recipes! :) xx
It looks so good, much trickier than the jam I'm used to but still delicious definitely. I was actually wondering how to convert lb to grams, thanks. 💕❤️
Same here, we’d never made a jam this way before. There are a lot more steps than usual, but as long as you plan everything it’s ok 😉. We were shocked at how pretty it turned out! The measurement conversion we need here is: ▪️ 1 lb = 454 grams ▪️¾ lb = 370 grams I always find it really hard to remember measurements conversions. This one has only just managed to stick in my memory, although I’m sure it won’t be there long! I think I’m going to have to stick a conversion table on the inside of one of our kitchen cabinet doors or on the fridge to try to memorise them! 🤓 You have a wonderful week, Loretta! 💕 Miss. HD
Simple and beautiful. Can't wait to see the next recipe!
