Hi , just a easy & fast way for rare weapons . Don't need nightmare difficult can be done on easy . No need story mission can be done on chronicle mode .
the second character can just sit and wait for you to complete everything, he/she still gets the rare weapon. you just need to clear all the missions and dont fail one otherwise you only get one or none. im going trough Chronicle mode on normal once i got everything i will do story on nightmare
You need 75% or more biography to get the golden sword/xmark and the golden x mark will show randomly around japan easy difficulty easy rare ez life lol
hi , I got most of them on chronicle mode . but story or free mode it fast for this . beggin mission . When you encounter nobunaga (enemy not boss) use interim save , after that kill him . If you see treasure acquire it cool or exit mission and reload interim save . heirloom item increase by 7% . Did this again and again ^^ . if you want this on chronicle mode , I think quizz battle ,is fast too , use the same tips .
gun sangoku I read about this treasure glitch on the gamefaqs fourm, and noticed a few funny things about this increased treasure drop rate. Only did it in chronicle mode, however. 1. If you save, kill the officer, but fail to kill him as required to get said treasure, then load, your drop rate increases one percent each time. 2. I think skills affect treasure drop chances. Had a weapon on a character that had the skill which increases the chance of gems dropping, it was lv3. I kept goin' after Hanzo while my speed was boosted, but after like 7 tries, it didn't work, so i gave up. His drop chance by then was 63% lol. 3. In relation to number 2, ran into Hanzo again, thinkin' I would have to boost my drop chance through save and reload, but he came into battle with a 63% drop chance. So if you're fightin' an officer with a high drop chance in one fight due to savin' and reloadin', but you decide to quit due to frustration, the accumulated drop chance will still be as high as it did when you slayed the officer. Guessin' it'll stay so long as you don't quit the game. BTW this game kicks ass :)
So lemme get this straight.. I have to play on Hard for the swords to pop up. Unlock the whole map, set the difficulty to easy then once the swords pop up from playing on hard switch it to easy so the rare is easy to get ?? I thought you could play on any difficulty to get the golden swords to pop up. Please reply.. I hope you do, just got this game 4 days ago.
Hi , I play all chronicle mode from the beggining on easy . For the sword pop u need to unlock all map . To unlock all map , u need to finish all mission with (red helmet icon) "Chronicle mode" .On chronicle mode doesn't matter difficult u choose is the same result .All u need is unlock all map . And search golden cross , that's all . Golden cross pop only if u have all map unlock. U don't have to play on hard or other difficult play on easy it's quick . (Hard or nightmare it's for fun but is long) Sorry for my english I understand english but have difficult to answer I hope u understand what I'm saying it's hard for me ^^
+Corey Walker You can actually get the golden swords no matter what. I'm playing on normal first and i don't have entire map unlocked yet and the swords started to pop up for me a long time ago. I just go through each mission with one character at a time to unlock each weapon. Not exactly an easier way to do it but it's the way it's got to be done lol
Yup I got everything in about a month. Put it on easy, ran with Nobuyuki as my secondary char until i unlocked most ppl then i would run thru levels until gold swords popped up and i'd play the level with my edit char at lvl 50. Put the weak level 1 at a safe spot and crush the battlefield. Easy as pie
pepole listen up hoever says that ps3 ver dosen't have golden cross blade rare weapon r wrong, i just unlocked it the battles r showing up, im currently at 85% biography.
I was told you need to be on hard mode. This is a nice change of pace thanks.

You need to raised your friendship with the character to level 3 or 4 I think 3 .
It's the same for all characters (famous character) .
