Exactly. He was not a citizen, even probably undocumented, didn't have a job and lost hope. I know dad loves him by the way he hugged him. He was hoping mom, an American citizen, could work on getting the kids back but she was not able due to her drug situation.
I don't think your friend has to say your dad wasn't genuine. Dad warmly welcomed him, and took him to mom's house. PrettyboyAlfredo has fogiven them and that's the most important. Some men are not very expressive and dad definitely still has difficulty expressing himself in the English language. Just give him a chance to prove himself.
God has blessed you through your adoptive parents and helped you to become who you are now. Just live your life the best way you can.

Your dad was ready to tell part of it but I think the language barrier is what’s happening. I’m also glad you realized that even though they were not there you had great parents that took you in and raised you. Growing up in the 80’s and 90’s myself with a mom that was a drug addict and alcoholic it was hell. And I seen a lot of things that no kid should’ve witnessed and experienced. Dont be so hard on your dad. He loves you. Men just show there emotions differently. The fact that he remember the little intrecate details about his son, your birthday, your birthmark, and what happened when he lost you. He cares... The reaction you saw in your first meeting him after many years, was his happiness for you, and what you become, and your success... If it was anything different , he would have tried to contact you years ago, and he would of asked you for something... Both your parents love you... and Im glad you are at the point in your life and the person you are that you are able to forgive them, and have an open ear and mind to listen, and try to understand, and agin to forgive, and give them and yourself a chance to move forward from the pass and move towards the future and try and be a family... I think the friend shouldn’t have given his input. I don’t think he understand his fathers point of view and his life. Who knows the struggles he had. But clearly it was better for you and your siblings to not be with them. Everything happened for a reason. But I think your dad and mom can be misunderstood by us and them. Maybe have another conversation with them but not on camera. I think that also has an effect on the conversation. That could have effected your fathers way of communicating. I think he is a fan but parents should be your biggest fan.

I had a reunion with my biological mother a few months ago. She gave me away at birth. I was lucky enough to have phenomenal adoptive parents. They basically fed me with a silver spoon. My biological mother was very young and unable to provide for me. She had 3 boy before me and was only 19 when she had me. I was the only one to get adopted. When I met her for the first time it was VERY emotional. She cried, and I cried. The weirdest part was to realize that I was so hurt deep down once I saw her. I built up resentment. We communicated for a while, but I began to feel off. I was t feeling the relationship. I didn’t want to talk otp. I didn’t want to meet up. I began to just hurt and not wanna be bothered. It turned into a “see, i did GREAT without you” type of thing. I eventually cut off communication. Fast forward to about a few weeks ago, my wife and I began to converse and I realized I may have made a mistake. I felt as though i didn’t give it a chance. I began to pray on it. And since praying, I’ve just been having faith in God to lead me in the right direction with how I want to move forward, because I know if I go back into it, I’m not allowing myself to come out. I’m going to commit. Seeing this has really helped with my decision. Thanks brodie🙏🏾 and ya “brotha” right. There was NO genuineness in it. Plus, out of all things, ma dukes says “you said you gone buy me a house”. PUHHLEASE. Meeting my biological parents only made me thankful for my adoptive parents. On a level that will NEVER be able to be explained

@Prettyboyfredo I think you need to go see your dad with someone who can translate and speak his language to translate coz I see he is genuine but does not know how to express in English. It shows he has been following you. Take everything positively and I wish I had the opportunity to hv my parents now regardless coz its a blessing to still have them abd this was part of your journey and I think it took you to where you are. We can never turn back the hands of time, but we can shape how the future will look like.

Man this has me balling right now. I lost my birth mommy in 93 to gun violence. I was 8 years old with 3 other siblings who were all split up after my moms death. I didn’t hear nor see my oldest sister for 10 years. I was abused by my aunt and told to send me to the state beca she no longer wanted me. Thank GOd that 2 years later I was adopted and saved from the system also.

Cant judge them off the first meet, keep in mind they could be dealing with addiction so they aren't going to act the way you ideally want them to act. You have to remember they might not be in their right state of mind, addiction is hell of a thing especially for someone to shake. Don't judge them off of that, you can tell it was hard for them to acknowledge what they did and at the same time a camera was around. They know it'll go up online and they also worrying about their character as well. Have to think about everything as a whole
