Azure AD Cloud Sync - Setup and Configuration

- Here I setup the new Azure AD Cloud Sync system. An actual installation on a domain, with a live tenant that identities are synced to. I show how to get it setup initially and perform the first sync, then dive deeper into transformations of the UPN to suit the new tenant. Example like what if the domain name of the UPN in the local Active Directory is not in the M365 tenant. Likewise, what if we what to set the UPN to a particular value during the sync process.
As in all my videos I get straight to the point and you can see quickly and clearly how things are setup, configured and implemented.

Thank you very much for this video, the best I have seen so far about this topic. Instead of just showing the basic installation und configuration, I was especially interested in mapping the Entra ID UPN. In nearly all my projects, the Entra ID UPN is not built using the AD UPN, so your explanation on the possibilities we have when configuring this is quite valuable.

How can we sync users we make on Entra or in the Admin Center back to AD on Premises? Is there any options in Cloud Sync?
That is coming from Microsoft. There are options to write the passwords back and there are some items showing up in preview around this too. Basically, sit tight and it will be available.

I don't have the attribute "extensionAttribute1", I only have "extensionName". Can I use that as well?

You sure can. Any AD attribute can be used for the transformation process.
