VOX AC15 C1 - Amp Demo

Welcome back for a new amp demo!!
Today we'll be talking about the VOX AC15C1 combo.
This is the small brother of the VOC AC30 with only 15W. This is a 2 channels head (normal, top boost) with tremolo and reverb.
The combo is connected right into a Two Notes Torpedo live (www.two-notes.com/en/hardware/...) loaded with an impulse from a VOX AC15 combo. This is a Rosen Digital Audio impulse available here: www.rosendigitalaudio.com/down... .
We only used one pedal during the demo when you can see it on screen. We used a J Rockett Archer as a "clean" boost (rockettpedals.com/product/arch.... This pedale is a Klon Centaur clone.
We used as little post fx as we could, no EQ, no compression:
- the room reverb is from the Torpedo live.
The sound you hear on this video is the exact one we were hearing on our monitors while tracking it.

To me the clean channel sounds so much better than the fizzy top boost channel. It did sound pretty decent at the edge of distortion with the P90s and the tele though. Great demo!!

I love my Strat but into my Vox AC15C1 my Tele gets played a lot. Tele and Vox is tone from heaven!

Turn the bass down a little bit for gods sake. It doesn't have to flub out so bad.
You need a turn the treble up above 2.

I live in an apartment. Using the torpedo is the only way to be able to crank any amplifier to really demonstrate its tone without annoying all my neighbors.

I live in an apartment too, and that's a problem for us, guitar players... LOL
Actually I bought an Isobox and it give me great results, and I can play in volumes that I would never imagine without the isobox, but you're right, never will be able to cranck the amp.
It's weird how Vox amps have a reputation for not taking pedals well, yet I love them with Klones and TS type overdrives. Treble boosts are bomba with vox and my crowther hot cakes clone slays through my ac15c1. Only thing I don't like is a silicon fuzz into a dirty vox, it collapses in a bad way. Cheers.

great video but I got just one doubt.. between this AC15C1 n' the AC10C1...which one sounds better.. I mean which sounds warmer , cleaner n more defined? I'll appreciate someone reply me ..t-you =)

Every Video i hear of this amp sounds like a fizzy mess, at this point i have to assume its the amp not the players,...how the hell did Brian May pull that living, singing, mid range sizzling tone out of his Ac30???. I'm guessing because they weren't foreign made with low quality transformers etc back in the 70s.
He recorded a lot of the Queen stuff through a small solid state amp that a friend designed for him, plus the red special has a unique sound, also treble boosters.
