Subscription number rising. Dave’s word is spreading. Companies are investing. The man refused to stop no matter the road block. Dave you’re an inspiration.
Nice playing, as always Dave. Unique sounding amp, definitely has it's place. Edit: As an aside, it just occurred to me that you never ask anyone to mash, push, tap or ring anything! The subs. you have are people who want what you're giving, not those who are buying what you're selling ( although I bet every one of us has something you made sound awesome in a video, and thanks to you, know how to use it)
This just sits differently in a mix than your usual tones Dave. Much more gilmourish. Like the whole spectrum of frequencies starts and finishes higher. But isn't too harsh at all. Much love
It's always amazing to see you play and get lost in what you're doing. You're an inspiration man, and to see you getting the recognition you deserve is brilliant, keep it up, you're a legend!
Your guitar work and study is amazing man! You are definitely one of my guitar heroes and i appreciate what you do on youtube. I see you struggle sometimes with mental health and it definitely speaks to me as i do too. I cant wait to see what it brings to your music!
Vox are truly magnificent, whichever the model, their core circuitry and basic layout became the default standard for modern rock and pop guitar-sounds splendid Dave!
Dave, as a guitarist myself, you always push me to be more like experimental and it amazes me how you get so much great music and tone from anything you play through!
Sweet Brother! What an amazing sound and don’t You forget it! We can all list our ‘favourites’ but it doesn’t really matter, we just want to see people in their zone. Thanks for this Man 🙏🏼 it’s beautiful ✌🏼. Stay safe n be well 😷
What a masterclass of feeling and playing ! Always a pleasure to here you playing Dave and see you have fun with this phenomenal amp ! I've got one a C1 and when i see you're video about this beauty damn it makes me so happy and what a pedalboard i see overhere my buddy the zoom G2.1 Nu (what an underrated pedal in my opinion) if you have time i'm curious about your pedalboard on this video cause i have similar settings ! Keep playing, have fun, i hope everything is good and see you on you're next masterpiece ! Greetings from France 😊 Hugo
Hey Dave, that Vox has a sweet clear tone that loves your style. It gives you another palette with which to paint your epic intros. I know you like transistor amps but jeez.......that box was ringing bells in heaven.
Been playing 30 years. My dad left me a battered old ac30, which I tried when I started playing and didn't like. Pulled it out recently, turns out it's an original 1963 copper top converted to a combo. The tone is to die for, much like this video
Love Voxes, they are the growl to a Marshall's bark. I've been on a mini ANOS valve spending spree of late, my AC30 sounds incredible with old Mullards in it. I swore I'd never bother as I can't do it justice but now I know why these things are magic. I'll lend it to you one day Dave so I can hear it sing!
That is THE best tone ive ever heard , amazing playing as well , i almost ran to get my guitar then realised its half midnight . I noticed the reverb was up full , but it didnt accentuate the highs like reverb seems to on anything i play thru ie Katana , line6 , gt
Realy killer sounds .I wish I was your freind .you have alot of cool toys .I've come along way jst by watching and listening to you. . And for that sir. ....I thank you... it's a wonderful journy..
Just bought a VT40X and it has the AC15 along with a stupid amount of other Vox amps. I think it’s going to take a long time before I’ve worked my way through them all then I can start on the whole pile of tones. I’m just loving it. The Valvtronic bit really does the full job.
Ah man, that Vox sounds amazing. I've been drifting from Marshall towards the Vox sound. I love the way you sound playing a Vox Dave, you should play them more ❤
Out of every amp i’ve ever owned (which is a lot), and every amp i’ve seen being demo’d, my ac15 is the most amazing sound and tone out of the lot, by a mile, I wouldn’t exchange it for anything! And in this video, you coaxed some of the most amazing tones from any of your videos! OK-OK, the Silver Jubile wins, but this is close 😂
Vox Ac15 is a great amp! I had one back in the olden times of the early 90’s that I unfortunately had to sell in order to eat. Aaaahh! The good ole days!! 😺
That was a fabulous intro. And, stop saying that your playing isn't good when it clearly is. You rock, Dave! Even though it has nothing to do with this video, I have to mention that I can play my guitar again!!!! WOO HOO! These last couple of weeks have been absolutely torturous. Now, I just need to make sure that my wrist stays cool. So, that things stay cool and that's cool. Yeah.
Always wondered when u would do an ac15 , I have this amp got it for £350 used, its like new tho, it’s the purple limited run which I think is the one your using ,I always use the normal channel this thing is loud what a sound u get when it’s cranked, best £350 I spent 👍of course my my other amp is the orange cr120 combo thanks to u Dave ! 😂👍
I saw Joe Bonamassa in Nov 2019 in NY, and I left the gig thinking he was the best guitarist currently active. I can now say with certainty after discovering Dave's channel last year, that he has taken that title from him, bravo sir.
Monday evening start of the week and what a great way to start Dave at his best,i keep repeating myself, but then we all know why-JUST WATCH AND LISTEN,my no1 go to you tuber
That tremelo effect on th amp was used I think to great effect on The Who's 'The Ox' on the 'My Generation ' album,,,[it might have been a Vox AC30 come to think of it but don't they also have a tremelo effect as well ?],,,,,,as far as I'm aware anyway...great channel and the Vox AC 15 is definitely on my list for another amp...I'm using an original speaker from a Vox AC 15 as an extension speaker for my Fender Champ which makes a big difference to the sound of the Champ.
Sounds like that room has plenty of natural reverb without carpets...acoustics would probably sing in there.....that's a great sounding Vox...I like mine...got that chime that rings like tubular bells
They did some retro TV front AC 15s and 30s I have an AC 30 bloody loud for home but it has a master volume thankfully you should be playing Apache with that fiesta red strat into the Vox 😀
These are excellent amps, I have the purple limited edition ac15. I need the vox sound (but not that loud) 😁 I play Shadows covers, use a fiesta red strat and a Blue Nebula unit which accurately mimics any of the old echo units, Miazzi in this case. Give one a go if you get the chance.
Hey man, amazing video as usual. I'm wondering what pickups are in your red strat? The sound that you created with that instrument was absolutely phenomenal!
My first real amp back in the late 70's early 80's was a third hand Vox AC 30 - you couldn't give them away then ! It was a temperamental pig that would cut out when hot and buzz like mad at odd moments. Sometimes a hard kick would bring it back in line but quite often it would just die completely until cooled down. The trauma created means I have never liked Vox since lol. Like everything you touch Dave this one sounded brilliant . It must be me :-( .
Subscription number rising.
Dave’s word is spreading.
Companies are investing.
The man refused to stop no matter the road block. Dave you’re an inspiration.

Was born in the year of Woodstock... this feels like on your back in the grass warmed by the sun.
Thanks 😊
"Dave the Vox".
"I'm getting to that".
Bro, you can make crappy $50 amp sound like a million bucks. Then putting you behind great amps just sounds ridiculously phenomenal
This just sits differently in a mix than your usual tones Dave. Much more gilmourish. Like the whole spectrum of frequencies starts and finishes higher. But isn't too harsh at all. Much love
Phenomenal tones, I would expect these would sound great in a mix with other instruments.
It's always amazing to see you play and get lost in what you're doing. You're an inspiration man, and to see you getting the recognition you deserve is brilliant, keep it up, you're a legend!
Holy moly that 2nd channel is raucous. Great tone from you Dave as always.
Emotive and humble playing from the most genuine bloke on the tube. Quality stuff, Dave.
I loved seeing a few different angles for the intro jam, really cool man 👍👍👍 plus that red strat is a stunner!
Your guitar work and study is amazing man! You are definitely one of my guitar heroes and i appreciate what you do on youtube. I see you struggle sometimes with mental health and it definitely speaks to me as i do too. I cant wait to see what it brings to your music!

Dave!

Vox is 👑
You sound fantastic through that Vox Dave.
My Ac15c1 is my favorite amp I own, it just has something very special. As always Dave your playing sounds fantastic.
Love everything you do !
No word of a lie Dave - that was your best intro yet. I am a sucker for synth drones under a soul-searching guitar line.
Just unbelievable tone...this may be my favorite tone to date from you, followed by your Marshall Origin, then the Orange Cr120.
Nice demo, that amp sounds really nice. It really is different and has a unique sound to it. Marjo and you have good taste in amps😉
Another amazing Video to wake up to, thanks Dave, can’t get enough of you playing blues.... love it,, PS say hi to Mimi for me,
Wow Dave , the opening to your video just blew me away 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Sweet Brother! What an amazing sound and don’t You forget it! We can all list our ‘favourites’ but it doesn’t really matter, we just want to see people in their zone. Thanks for this Man 🙏🏼 it’s beautiful ✌🏼. Stay safe n be well 😷

It really does have an amazing sound. You did some cool stuff with it!

I knew it, I was going to love this Dave SImpson episode. You are a blessing to all guitar players that take it serious... and the others too.
The Gretsch sounded magical. Great playing with all.
That is THE best tone ive ever heard , amazing playing as well , i almost ran to get my guitar then realised its half midnight . I noticed the reverb was up full , but it didnt accentuate the highs like reverb seems to on anything i play thru ie Katana , line6 , gt
Wow, great playing, great amp. I want one, well , both really the amp and your god given talent.
This man saved my LIFE. Thnxs
My favorite Vox Amps are the ADVT and ADVT XL series Amps no longer Available they were from the early 2000's
Definitely I have mine from 2007 never part with them incredible Amps
Realy killer sounds .I wish I was your freind .you have alot of cool toys .I've come along way jst by watching and listening to you. . And for that sir. ....I thank you... it's a wonderful journy..

I want one too! I tested one too a couple of years ago at my friend’s place in San Diego and was impressed.
Heavenly with a proper pedalboard as well.
Dave that Fender Telecaster is stunning m8 WOW and that slide and that TONE .....AGAIN
Happy Dave producing Blues tone to die for!☺
The brighter EQ has served you well here Dave 💪
Out of every amp i’ve ever owned (which is a lot), and every amp i’ve seen being demo’d, my ac15 is the most amazing sound and tone out of the lot, by a mile, I wouldn’t exchange it for anything! Vox Ac15 is a great amp! I had one back in the olden times of the early 90’s that I unfortunately had to sell in order to eat. Aaaahh! The good ole days!! 😺
Holy cow!!!
Rory 's spirit is in you right now
Damn, you are spitting fire and flames with that strat brother. Hope all is well with you and yours :) Peace be upon you.
Now that's a good tone, cheers Dave
Love the hoover shaped guitar on the wall haven't seen that before please demo 🤣
maaaannn the red strat with maple neck through it cranked unreal!!! 🏰🔮👽🛸
i like it when you play straight into amps
How did I miss this vid!
That intro was Dave Gilmour all day long, loved it!
yeaaah ! it sounds perfect with you :)
Ooh you and soft soap lool x
La beauté n'est pas loin
le vœu prégnant des vides et sa capacité à remplir d'espaces sereins le petit cœur de l'homme, transcendance!
Every time I go to dial my amp in I say WWDD, Dave would blow minds!!
Looks like my 50's Classic Vibe, sounds like Good Gravy to my Ears! Her Strat is badass
Opening was incredible
awesome amps and awesome lasses! \m/
Don’t let Orange hear you singing the praises of the Vox! 😆
love the slide on the Tele - very Rory type tones
That was a fabulous intro. And, stop saying that your playing isn't good when it clearly is. You rock, Dave! Awesome. I'm so happy to hear that. :)
@@thedavesimpson Thanks. Cheers!
Hey Dave I got one of those Squier 60s Cv tele's and I just put a Fitertron pickup in it, should give it a go...sound fab !
That cutting Vox sound, you can't beat it sometimes! I'll never sell my AC30!
I saw Joe Bonamassa in Nov 2019 in NY, and I left the gig thinking he was the best guitarist currently active. I can now say with certainty after discovering Dave's channel last year, that he has taken that title from him, bravo sir.

You've done it again Dave, and welcome to the Vox gang. Lol
Classic amp..you should definitely get hold of one..
This is why I love my AC30 so much. And I'm flirting for an AC15 with cloned AC30 preamp specs. Because they sound phenomenal!
It's never easy being a 3 or 5 way switch when the Gravy man's in town, by the way loved the inflight Intro jam......
Dave... you're soundin' real nice there mate
Sounds like that room has plenty of natural reverb without carpets...acoustics would probably sing in there.....that's a great sounding Vox...I like mine...got that chime that rings like tubular bells
Vox and Dave there's a story 😇cheers love it 😇
So pleased Im late to your channel, weeks of listening ahead.
Any strings on that vac?
lovely ...
Jimi would be proud!
Great sound and nice playing as usuall :-) Is this Vox vintage or new made in Chine one? Which speaker? Thanks.
Nice 👍 Sambas Dave, there the only trainers 👟 I wear, oh yeah and Cool 😎 guitar 🎸 playing 🤘
Niiiice tones!
You gotta get to Tennessee soon brother. You got quite a few fans here.
+1
Not from Tennessee but close enough to drive if Dave stops by on his American leg of whatever tour he’s on
Yep that’ll do 🙌
👏👏👏 really good.

I have the AC30 version of this amp (assuming it's the C2 version) in blue also. Very nice amps 😀
Lovely gilmoresque tune.
nice paint job kidda
sounds nice
Beautiful tones, Dave. The amp seems very responsive to the pick attack. Do you think even more than the mg or cr120?
Hey man, amazing video as usual. I'm wondering what pickups are in your red strat? The sound that you created with that instrument was absolutely phenomenal!
This red Strat is Marjo's. I forget what they are. Sorry. :(
Wow .. just wow 👌 the intro jam was just like old steve hillage System 7 guitar work . Give the first couple of system 7 albums a listen
Wonder if they make a head version..
I have a Vox VT20X. Does that count for anything? It's actually how I discovered that Orange is the amp for my personal metal tone.
My first real amp back in the late 70's early 80's was a third hand Vox AC 30 - you couldn't give them away then ! It was a temperamental pig that would cut out when hot and buzz like mad at odd moments. That thing sounds better than my fawn tolexed Handwired reissue AC30 ever did.
Holy!!!
And that was just the first 2 minutes
