On that top plate I used to paint them black then take a block wrapped with a rag soaked in thinner and wipe off the raised areas while it was still wet. A flat belt sander works well too and helps keep the brushed finish.

Thought I was watching Shaft at 00:45 ...."ohhhh yeahhh" 😂
Didn't know you Tennessee folks put your hot water heaters in the garage... always thought it was a Florida, Cali thing 🤔
    Congrats on the sponsorship 👍

Welcome to an all new episode of Foxcast at Home. This was a nice change of scenery even though I love your shop. I laughed out loud when you said you're not a professional anything. You just play one on tv.(UA-cam)

Building a mild 302 in my fox since I blew my old one up. I’m just a broke college kid but it’s been a great project so far. Following this channel really helps. I also live in waco TX witch is 10 minutes from LMR so that’s nice.

The Duplicolor wheel paint HWP101 Silver wheel paint is real close to the stock color. It has that goldish tint in it like the originals. I found this by accident since for some reason I have so much of this paint laying around. I painted my Explorer intake with it as well for a more stock look on my 89 LX.

What up , hows going ? I'm surprised at that aircraft stripper I've used it and it works well.. you need to read the directions on the paint cans if it says to paint in between 2 temperature ( 65-75) follow that and you can put the paint cans in warm water for a few minutes, it thins the paint a little better spray

Spray clear coat over the intake and valve covers to seal them, and spray clear over the 5.0 intake badge to seal it

Painting engine parts is always so rewarding because the finish can be shit but it will still look a million times better than before lol. The only slight problem is not being able to breathe halfway through because there's so many fumes in the garage lol

I work at a Body Shop here in Mississippi. From what I was told Tal Strip changed the recipe for coating remover. The old stuff was bad for Ozone Layer or some shit. And yes, it’s junk now!

Harbor freight blast cabinet runs $189.99. Find a coupon and you tan take one home for around $150. It’s not great but it works. Don’t know how I ever got by without it.

How much harder would it be to go 4cyl to Coyote??? I watched your 5.0 push rod to Coyote. Does it add more, less or just different things to worry about?

Most paint stripper is crap now since the EPA made the main ingredient that was being used illegal (methylene chloride). Aircraft stripper used to be the heat

Bought a set of phone dial wheels yesterday someone painted them grey I'm going to take paint off clean them up get a new set of lug covers and throw a set of Goodyear st white letters on them. Plan is to run them on my car temporary then sale them at a swap or something. I have to 10th anniversary cobra on the car now but I plan to 5 lug the car and we are building my sons 83 vert right now so the 10th anniversary wheels are going on the vert. Then when that cars done and we build mine i will 5 lug and buy new wheels for mine. I wanted the same set up as anniversary wheels in a black face torque thrust style but after seeing the wheels u went with I'm kinda in between the wide and wider look or the skinny fatty look like you did. My anniversary wheels are 9 inch front and 10 inch deep dish rear. What u think bud. It's a hatch lx like yours.

Why didn’t you just have the pan bead blasted with the rest of the parts? Would have saved you a bunch of time and messing with it!

I’d paint those engine pieces inside the garage or basement with a mask 😷 on. Since it’s Spring time. Theres a lot of pollen in the air and it will get into the fresh paint 🎨 job.
