I'm glad J gave Esham credit for being the first rapper to drop 2 albums in the same day
J always shows Esham the respect he deserves, Esham is the creator of the wicked shit.
That’s what I’m talking about. That’s dope.
They always acknowledge they followed his blueprint
@fomoco16 about merch yes but never about a double cd sold separately
He’s so real! ❤ 🤜💥🤛
They went from being the Most Hated Band in American to being recognized as OG Legends.
THE DUKE 🪓 he deserves the flowers 💯💯
Violent J is a legend I can listen to this man talk for hours.
I love J. But he’s high af here and not weed.
@@eXHackeRu don’t know that
@@eXHackeRnah bro this is just how he is
@@eXHackeRnot at all. He suffers from chronic pain, and refuses the medications.
Have you heard his audio book of behind the paint? He brings the story I have known for years to a whole new light!

As long as you get the cotton candy, it's all good.
Sugar balls*😝
You dumb that's a mimic
Love them or hate them ICP are legends , they def helped build the blue print alot of independent artists are doing today. The came from nothing have built an empire , built a legacy , have stood the test of time and even if you don't like there music at all they put on one of the greatest live shows ever . I'm glad I got to see them live and experience them in there prime . ICP was pushing being different, and making your own lane way before the muble era and dyed hair etc came to fruition. Legends hand down....
Totally agree 100000000%
Me
Yup. I admired what they were capable of.
Spot on. Haven’t listened to them in forever but their concerts were what I looked forward too more than anything back when I was a kid. They were marketing geniuses and they hustled harder than anybody in the business.
gotta remember too these guys have been around since the late 80's very very early 90's. first as Inner City Posse and then flipped the script to Insane Clown Posse (i still have the cassette tape of Dogbeats.) i was barely a teenager.. so listening to their music, being down with the clown for as long as i have, the evolution has been one hell of a ride. whoop whoop til i die!
Violent J is debatebly the greatest story teller in rap
Right! Ice Cube inspiration 🔥💯
Agreed on both, VJ, Cube & Scarface are my Top 3 in any order.
Facts. Thanks to esham, Scarface and ice cube
Listen to his audio book Behind the Paint if you get a sec. It makes road trips go by in seconds
I’ll definitely debate that. Not to mention no one can talk when J is in the room. It’s embarrassing when Shaggy is there and can’t get a word in because J can’t STFU or let someone else get some shine.
Long time juggalo and LoS fan, I’m beyond stoked that J had a good time at Skankfest. Was a dream come true for everyone involved ❤
I loved seeing the world's intersect.
Same here bubba. Love to see the comedy scene, podcast and ICP come together. The content has been great!
I hope Kev didn't pass up a chance to interview Esham while he was there. So underrated and underappreciated in hip hop.
Mannn I was hoping the whole time they would bring esham on
Same. He’s a true OG unrecognized
Yeah for real. Wasn't ESHAM basically the first Horror rapper out there EVER?!
Facts. Esham is the father of horror core rap. Boomin words from hell is hella old school.
No offense to j, but I'd rather hear an interview from esham, we got a ton of icp interviews and not many esham.
My first concert was 2 live crew opening for ICP at Bogarts in Cincinnati when I was like 14. Small venue. I left with a couple empty 2 liters throw from the stage. Ahhh the nostalgia
Great show to see sadly I was supposed to go to that exact one but missed it
Bro.... Was it the SHANGRI-LA tour? My first show. Took me a bit.... But yeah 2-Live opened that beast!
I went to the same show but in Peoria Illinois. Was front row, center haha. 2 live crew had girls dancing and they squirted whip cream in my friends mouth and stuff. Was a crazy concert.
@@Jraw309 hell yeah that's wassup ninja
@@briandoubleu2015 I think it was a couple years before the 6th dropped. I was trying to look up the exact date and it looks like ICP was there at bogarts in 2000. My ticket was 30 bucks I think. I had to save up change 😂
Iv been down with these dudes since 1994 and still am.... Even wrestled at the gathering and happy daze tour plus sooooooooo much more.... They created an entire world and I got to be part of it❤❤❤❤ the wicked clowns will never die!!!!!!!!!
My dream is to wrestle for them
I love me some Violent J.
He’s such a great representative for Midwestern Hiphop Culture.
Look how many people his foundation have brought together. Nothing but respect from San Diego, Hatchets Up. Whoop Whoop!
Mid West is more tech nine . That's from detroit
Detroit is Midwest just as much as KC
J is hands down the best ever story teller in hip hop. Do yourself a favor and peep wizard of the hood 🔥 🔥 the whole album is one big story

Late 90’s - early 2000’s ICP shows were fucking insane. Lots of super small venues with little to no security. Been on stage many times at the end for the faygo Armageddon. Before it was called that. Even crowd surfed on stage. Best show was probably Blaze and Mars opened the show, Twiztid next, the ICP, then they all came together and played as Dark Lotus. The original lineup too. That was a show. Such a crazy night
Dark Lotus is underrated af
It was Blaze and ABK
@@Zombies_on_Crack nah. It was Mars. OG Dark Lotus lineup was ICP, Twiztid, Blaze and Marz. ABK joined after Mars was booted. First album was re-recorded with ABK after that too. You can still find the original first Dark Lotus album on UA-cam with Mars. Look it up.

@1hundredwattwarlock142 yes I remember all that. I went to the lotus tour. I remember thinking "who is that guy with Blaze?" Haha Mars was gone quick. But yeah, that was 1 of the best concerts I've been to still to this day. It was in SF
I'll never forget getting up on stage with ICP at Saint Andrew's and jumping off into the crowd! Shout out Esham the underground legend. Dead Flowers is a classic!
Esham was so ahead of the curb.
Don't forget to check out the clip of Kev 6 months ago talking mad ish about ICP. Makes watching him worship J in person even better lol.
You Betta go ask somebody!
been a juggalo for 17 years .. i will be for my whole life. proud to be a juggalo. icp is still as fresh as they ever were.
I was at the gathering 2023, flew in from Alaska to go with my fiancé and it changed our lives forever. We are already planning on gathering in 2024!
And the hay ride that J is talking about… so unbelievably fun, I hope I get to do it again next year!! The alien theme was so fkin funny, I was dying that entire time, especially when Capt Chode but anal probed!! It was such an amazing time, I am so thankful for ICP.
Whoop whoop... I was part of that hayride
Violent J kills it lyrically and on podcasts ! J is a legend all OG joker cards still slap to this day! Whoop whoop fam!

Never was into the music but Violent J provides the most entertaining interviews Ive ever heard.
I love twiztid but J sticking to his guns with the beef saying FUCK EM FUCK EM FUCK EM IS GANGSTA 😂😂😂
if only the dude interviewing would pipe down sometimes and let him speak uninterrupted
I listen to ZERO icp. I watch EVERY violent J interview , because he comes off as a real one . Salute violent J hope your health been better 🫡
I can listen to Violent J talk all day. He's a real one. 💯
Kev is a closet Juggalo. Sux that he's too much of a mark to admit it openly.
Especially not with joe in the room, the juggalo slander was sure toned down in this interview
Big respect to you Kev for doing this interview, been waiting on it for years! BIG UP!!!
i don't respect this mf one bit, he was just trashing icp months ago in numerous other videos and now he acts like he's cool with violent j? fuck bootleg kev.
Did you not see the interview with cash the kid where he’s dissing icp before this?
@richardmerrow5328 no where is that? Timestamp?
Very interesting interview as always guys
Always knew Bootleg Kev was a closet Juggalo. He always acts like he don’t fuck with ICP, but he knows their whole history.
We need that Bootleg Kev - ESHAM interview!
Man icp has always been one of my fav duos since the day they popped off and when they where on wrestling was epic they just know how to entertain and the riddlebox is still one of my fav albums to listen to and these guys in my opinion are OGs in the game and will have there staple on the world for decades to come
Can’t wait for the next gathering!!
ONE OF THE 🐐 ALWAYS A GOOD INTERVIEW
Real ones know tech wouldn’t be at the level he’s at if it weren’t for juggalos. Juggalos carried tech for years while he was crying about blacks not listening to his music, bet and mtv not playing him… Killer Era for those who missed it.
I remember a show he did in Columbus. Everyone thought he was just another local opener and was headed to go smoke outside..
Then he started with Stamina, with the tech nine making the beat and that was it. Everyone turned around.
@@mikemoss6045 Newport music hall right? Columbus ohio? That’s where I’m at
I’ve been a fan since I was 12. I am almost 40 and have been to soooo many of their concerts and grew up (In my opinion) in the best time of their careers. When it was ICP, Twiztid, Blaze, ABK, Dark Lotus, Zug Izland, KMK. THOSE were the best years!! And I have YET to meet them!! It is my goal to meet them at some point and hope I one day will succeed in doing so
Come to astronomicon you'll meet everyone except icp it is a blast
@@TheTwistedkidd93fuck that twiztid wouldn't march for our rights, they will NEVER get another dollar from me, thousands of dollars I invested in the demented duo just for them to shit on us juggalos like flat out bent down and shit on our heads. I had friends who lost their jobs because of the gang label, my buddy lost his kids because of the label and he's a fucking accountant who did zero drugs, but yet twiztids bitch asses wouldn't do a free concert to give back to us naw fuck that and fuck them
Nice interview J! Ive been to plenty of gatherings and seen some crazy things go down at each one. Amazing times!
Been down with the clown for over 25 years and counting 4 life!!! Stranglemania is one of my favorite video's ever produced by them.
Yo bootleg Kev! This was a fire interview right here! Love to see J and shag get the credit and the love ! 💪 MCL
I love icp so much just recently got back into them and forgot how much they meant to me as a teenager.
Fr, icp was my fucking life as a teenager, they helped me alot through alot of shit. I'm 36 now & just recently hot back into they're like first 7 albums & the ep's. Still need to check out there newer stuff though
This! Me too!!!
$uicideboy$, who i love, are basically following in this blueprint from psychopathic. Limited merch drops, throwing their own festival, putting all these other people on and hopping on songs with them, and finally making their own record label and randonly dropping new music. I didnt really notice this until these interviews with J. But its true.
This hits home … much love from B.C Canada 🇨🇦
I love the way you let Violent J talk! Keep that type of interview styles in the UA-cam videos. VIOLENT J! WHOOP! WHOOP!
Really cool interview hearing all the history and stories from J!
I will always remember seeing a cassette of Carnival of Carnage in a gutter, and two weeks later no joke hearing Offspring smash and that cassette.
Imagine in the late or mid 90s have a 100wat' sub on a 2 system for tapes.
That's how we bumped it.
That's how all the music went after that.
No lies.
The Duke of the wicked doing it out in Vegas, always love to listen to J. Whoop whoop

I don’t listen to their new stuff but Violent J is always entertaining to listen to.
You gotta listen to the “hunt for big smoke” song
First time I watched a full interview. Good shit Kev!
Strong work kev.
What's crazy to me about this interview, is that Kev gives him mad props for how ahead their branding and merch game was, asks him multiple times who was driving all that, and was like J didn't even hear it. Touched briefly on it, but would bounce off that talking point into other stuff.
Ask him about Drake and the ICP gear, having his name behind whichever podcast dude or whatever, and not once does he think they earned the spot to be there on purpose. It's gotta be an accident.
Then, largely unprompted, he just goes in about this dude Ouija and how dope his merch game is and how tight the aesthetics look and etc.
It's almost like he's so used to ICP being the butt of jokes and memes outside "the juggalo world," he's literally incapable of accepting that people outside their world could legitimately respect their place in the culture.
Either that, or legit one of the most genuinely humble dudes I've ever seen.
Doesn't want to give props to the person who thought of it. Obviously wasn't him or he would.
Kev thanks for dropping the whole interview and not just small incremental clips like some Lame podcasters (looking at you Vlad, Adam)
Imagine how cool this would be if Kev didnt continue to speak over J.
Seen ICP live in Glasgow,UK years ago totally great .
Great interview. I really feel like you were in your element between this and your Yelawolf interview.
I appreciate tf out of anyone who bring J or Shaggs on their show 🤘 much love for this and everyone who watches

I was at that Tech show Kev is talking about from last year in Detroit lol. It was a blast
Edit: If you go back and watch the thing with Stone Cold, Shaggy was outside the ring when Austin came in. J was the only clown available to stunner 😂 I was there live the night the Headbangers beat them up lol
Man, I remember going to the Gathering YEARS ago. One of the most memorable moments was watching ODB perform (RIP) and his hypeman was this 500lbs looking dude, hyping shit up while sitting down in a fold-up chair. Also was in a smoke circle with Violent J on one of the last nights of the event where we were passing around a glass Steamroller. Crazy shit.
Hahahaha! I was there for that. ODB was high af on the crack that night he performed. Good times in deed.
the face Jay makes when getting interrupted at 7:00 lmao
Same face he made about jelly roll😂😂😂😂☠️ I know jell still hurts for fucking that friendship up
VJ as always highly entertaining to listen to and watch.
Esham knew the answer to every question...he should kill it in music questions on jeopardy!!!
If anyone wants to know. The artist that the “ recovering Juggalo “ is working for was Jelly Roll. One of his runners actually worked for Psychopathic , MNE and even Strange at one point. Now he works with Jelly roll who’s violent j clearly has a major issue with too. This shit is too toxic. I feel bad for those Juggalos still stuck in this world. Fuck toxicity
Why do you say J & Jelly have hate? I went to 3 GOTJ in a row when in Illinois like 15 yrs. ago & Jellyroll waa there every year. He was walking around passing out free cds of an album called SNO- a group w/ him & Lil Wyte + another guy I forgot. Anyways it was what put me onto Jellyroll who just got better & better every year since until where he is one of my favorite artists of the last decade.
@@RL_Sin because j booted him off the gathering one year even after jelly said he would do it for free. It's because jelly didn't sell tickets. Boy I bet he feels dumb now

I wonder if they have album sales cd vs vinyl from home vs store sales. if their just NOW seeing a profit how much was their stuff getting plucked? I remember RiddleBox was an Orange cassette. I'm confused J said 2 released same day like Esham, Jeckel Bros was the same with2 covers no track difference but Bizaar/ Bizzar were not the only 2 from Psychopathic but Twiztid had Freek Show same day I got Bizaar and Freek Show and went back to Sam Goody the same day cuz I didn't know until I opened it to find out a 3rd cd to buy!
