Hi Dlucas, it's called a Flathead pressure test kit. I clean the rust off with a fine wire wheel on my battery powered drill. I use a small parts cleaning tank to clean the internal items.
Hi Josh, this motor came stock drilled for the oil cooler. You could probably find info on how to do the conversion at jalopyjournal.com under the HAMB link.
Cool video... thanks for sharing
Thanks Joe
nice work as usual!
Aaron who makes a pressure test kit?
Hi Leonard, I bought the kit from Speedway.
I’m not sure where you’re from, but that’s a Canadian block. That’s why it has all the holes drilled for the oiling system, as all Canadian 8ba’s do
Thanks Adam, I think I mention that later in the build.
What is the pressure test tool called? What do you clean your engine parts with? They were really dirty do you soak them in something?

Looks like a sweet build. How do i find more info on how to drill out the oil passages for an oil filter conversion?

Did the machine shop measure the cylinders, and what is the limit for wear ,taper and round.
Hi Lionel, I have a bore gauge and measured the bores before taking it to the machine shop. I used Ron Bishops book as reference for the limits.
Hey quick question: What sealant do you use for the head bolts?
Nevermind I saw the latter part of the video and got it, thanks!
My Canadian 8BA has RE20105* would be nice to know what it means
