    Really like your videos. Lots of good information, demonstration, and well-organized without being intimidating. Thanks for not spending time on chitchat and messing around - so refreshing!

    Hi Dawn,
    I am new to your channel, thank you for putting so much of your time into all you do!!!
    I have been enjoying the few series I have watched so far.
    Just noticed in this one...you probably have now also...the tyvek really needed to be a piece on each side of the folder that has a spine not 2 glued to one pg of the folder. As a bonus, glue them both one to each pg on the inside area where you glued your tie trim...and you won't have any worries abt hiding it.
    I Love this little project and already have thought of a way to use your idea as inspiration.
    Thank you!!!

    Thank you so much for sharing your creativity through your videos. I have enjoyed making things along with you. Your instructions are easy to understand and accurate. I had to laugh because when you pulled out the lace to cover the spine of your file folder mini, it was exactly the same lace I had chosen to cover my spine!! Have a great weekend.

    Really cute project.. I am learning so much from your channel. I really like the simple beautiful projects you are doing. I made the envelope project you shared the other day. Omg it came out so pretty. I actually made a couple of them. I plan to make a couple of these file folder projects real soon. I will have to watch your videos all over again but I am happy to do so.. Thanks again!!

    That’s so stunning, I really really love 💖 it, those papers are really pretty, we can’t get Tyvec (sorry I not sure of the spelling) here in the UK 🇬🇧 so I’m going to buy some. Thank too for the tip on keeping the thread 🧵 from coming out, great 👍 idea 💡 💡👍. Thank you so much Dawn, your so easy to watch you really are. Plus your very talented and clever xxx Mags

    If I had young children, this would be my teacher gifts every year!!!!!! Done deal!!!!!! For people who do not have access to Tyvek, they can just use a strip of fabric. It's just to keep the thread from pulling through the paper of the folder.

    Learning so much from watching your videos, new subscriber here. Question, could you sew that spine on the machine instead of tying it with the thread to secure the signature?
    Respectfully, Mary Dray

    Hi. I’m a new subscriber. This video randomly showed up on my feed. I’m looking forward to watching Parts 1 & 2. I’m sorry if you’ve answered this question already ... what size needle would I use to sew in the signature? Thank you.

    • @thebookvandalshop5592
      @thebookvandalshop5592  4 роки тому

      Just a regular size sewing needle should work for this. You shouldn't need a large needle like a yarn darner. You won't be going through very many papers or a thick cover.

  • @lyndaholloway5469
    @lyndaholloway5469 4 роки тому

    Can that signature be sewn on a sewing machine?

    • @thebookvandalshop5592
      @thebookvandalshop5592  4 роки тому

      I think that would work as long as you keep the stitches kind of long. Too short of stitches act kind of like perforated paper and will weaken the spine. But long stitches should work just fine
