Well done, George and Stacy! Wish more American manufacturers were willing to tell their own stories like this (so what if others want to write it off as merely "branded content”). Time to inspire young entrepreneurs to create tangible, lasting products. Takes real guts and creativity to do that.

I'm not a skater but I love the culture around it. This is an awesome insight into how they're made.

I bought a couple of Powell boards and plenty of Powell wheels back in the day, BUT I was never hooked on this one product. Santa Cruz also makes good boards and wheels. The best board I ever owned was an Alva Chris Cook because it had that sweet Alva steep tail, Powell made some good board because they were light but they never really had really good tails. Anyway, that is just my take.

Rat Bones were some of my favorite and 95 hardness green MiniCubics.. 60 mm SPF/Skate Park Formula and 95A 63mm Bowl Bombers also personal favorites in the past 20 years. I still have my original Alan ‘Ollie’ Gelfand model from summer of 1981.

is the real message here, "we're not contracting with random manufacturers in east Asia who don't give a hoot about quality or safe labor practices?"
