@@dalton30720 thank you so much for posting those links. I’ve been looking for the whole show by Elon for a long time. I’ve been watching this song’s video for years and absolutely love this show. I graduated high school in Cincinnati in 1996 and was in our drama club. Every summer we traveled to the International Thespian festival as a drama club. In 1996 it was at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. Those weeks were always amazing and nightly there was a main show. The last show in June of 1996 was a relatively new performance of a show called Children of Eden (if I recall correctly, it was one of the first times doing it in the States through some deal with Schwartz. Even before it was on Broadway). It was done by a high school in Las Vegas called the Las Vegas Academy. It was, and to this day, still is, the BEST, most moving performance of any show I’ve ever seen. Had no idea what we were walking in to that night but as they wrapped Ain’t It Good, there was a roaring, thunderous standing ovation that lasted at least 5 minutes. Tears streaming down my face...one of the most beautiful, moving performances I’ve ever seen...so much energy and emotion. Here I was a 17 year old taking it all in. Luckily, after the show, they were selling CDs of the songs. Almost 25 years later, I still have it! This performance by Elon reminds me so much of what I saw in 1996 - thank you for posting it. Means a lot. -dave
piss off. this is true black gospel and black women murder this song. this girl did a great great job but its a totally different world and experience when its done by someone with soul
Excellent job...young people! Hope the lead singer has made it to Broadway. She's got the talent and the vocal strength.

Where is this college? The whole cast is fabulous!
It’s in North Carolina!
elsa on Broadway
AWESOME JOB, but you really need to hear this when performed by an African-American performer!
that is incredibly racist. it's a song for any race of a person that can sing a Gospel Pop song.

So only black people can have soul?
What a stupid comment... It’s not a race specified role.... She did and excellent job.
Go listen to Stephanie Mills, she outshines whoever plays Mama in this (who, in my opinion, is too bright).
