spoiler-free mini-review of chapter 3: Well... I'm sad to report that our playthrough of the final chapter 3 was not nearly as enjoyable as our playthrough of the first two chapters. I still think there is a lot to love in this box. Mostly good puzzles, and a very star trek feel to the story and lore, and a tour of the start trek universe. The experience was somewhat marred by a very unpleasant final puzzle that felt like busy work and worse. And another puzzle that confused us and was never explained properly. So all in all, a mixed experience. Still, there's a lot to like here, especially if you are a star trek fan. Don't expect the puzzle to be too easy, and expect a couple of duds, including the finale puzzle. But there are also a lot of good puzzles here, and most of them have a very cool setup where you start out not even being sure what is expected of you and what the ground rules are. It creates some fun moments when you realize what you need to do..
I feel vindicated now that I looked up a few reviews. Most are just unboxing ones but a Star Trek channel said they struggled with THAT puzzle and had to stare at it for 20 min afterwords and they never fully solved it just got close enough to guess. But they still had fun Good news is if you get your review up you might be only the 2nd or 3rd review of it on UA-cam at least. 🎉
@ I haven’t come across anything unfortunately about that one. There was only one other group playing it and they only did the first chapter I believe so I didn’t watch the whole thing.
