Hi, Ovi! The strange tree that you show in your video are what we call in Puerto Rico "Uva Playera", because all those seeds (they are the fruit from the tree) turn into a deep purple when they mature and they are very tasty (BTW, when they are mature they tend to stain, specially the clothes, so handle with care! 😁😁😁!!!) I really love them, they are a "sweet treat" from the coast. 👍👍👍
Thank You Beautiful video. my wife and I got married in that church. it brings me back memories going to the beach, the Piratas basketball games, the good old days 👍👍👍
Ovi those vines that you saw in Quebradillas beach are uvas de playa, beach grapes. The fruit(grape) grow larger than what you saw and turned red color when ripe, they have a peculiar taste that kind of tangled your tongue.
Hi Ovie, I agree with you in your comments , This is a beautiful place as every town in Puerto Rico, may the Lord bless you all your family, also our island.
I loved the peaceful guitar music in the beginning. I remember riding up partly unpaved path on the mountain there. It felt a little claustrophobic, but still pretty cool lol. Another great video.

Thank you for your time, energy and love that you put into your videos to share all the beauty the island has to offer.
Ovi, the tree you are showing at the end, they call it “uvas de playa”. Those are still green but when they turn purple they are edible and delicious. 😋 I am not sure if you can make jam or wine with them. And please, keep offering us those great and interesting videos from PR and hope, the next ones are about the reconstruction of our beautiful island. 🌴
Gracias. The next time I will put a little more effort on coquis. I may go out one night and do a video just on the coqui. Should be fun. Glad you like them.
The fruits at Puerto Hermina are called " sea grapes" or "uvas de playa". The leaves are used to compress the mass (?) When making alcapurrias. Next you see someone making alcapurrias, see that they take the masa and they roll it on these leaves before they fry them.
I love your videos but was very surprised to see how empty the town center was. I've been to PR a few times myself and many of these towns appear empty. Not sure if it's always been like that or recent migrations to the U.S. Great work. Keep it up!!
Tito, I think I know what is happening. In the old days all businesses were around the center of town and it was always super busy. But there is little parking. Most businesses these days are moving t the major roads and highways with easy access. That's where you will find most people these days. Saludos.
