Remember to make the roosting bar down low, so when thy jump down in the morning they wont get hurt feet and legs. They can damage their feet jumping down too far. A ladder to go up is good, but there isn’t enough room to use their wings to help them down. So make the roost about 2-3 feet high only. Trust me on this. We learned the hard way.
@@bethhardin8795 thats wonderful. I imagine there was room to jump down with the help of their wings. It depends on whether there is room to jump and have time to use wings to land softly. You must have a big hen house.
Building the chicken Coop and pew, pew house is needed to keep them safe from the winter and predators. With David's skills it will be perfect and nice looking.
Did someone say that you talk to much in you video's? If they did, they are wrong. I really enjoy hearing you ideas and plans for your property and animals. You two have come so far in 2 years. Your confidence is showing and I'm so proud of you both. Keep safe. Hugs from Nana Joy, Texas USA
What blows me away is, how talented David is. It's as if he knows exactly what to do. From working on farm equipment, to his carpentry skills, and his knowledge of planting and storage. He is a man of many skills, for such a young person! Amazing!
I just want to tell you that I really appreciate your videos and you guys are really good at making them! The choices of b-roll you make as well as your editing are really well done. Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us in such an excellent way!
You kids have bloomed so much I love all you all have done I've been watching right from the beginning an I am so amazed at all you two have done love you both an wish you all the best keep the videos coming
Yehhh so happy the birds are going to love the new home …the shorter grass makes everything look so much bigger. My offer to be your grass cutter is still open I will live in a tent 🤗. It’s such a magical place, the homes you have made for your animals are always made with love. Stay safe stay well xxxx
I’m excited to see what the new chicken and pew-pew house is going to look. I think they’re really going to enjoy it. I think their gonna have a lot more room. Are you going to make their egg laying boxes to where you have to go inside to get the eggs or are you going to make doors with latches on them to where you can just open them from the outside as well to get them. It looks really nice all mowed back there and also around the pond looks really good. A little bistro set or something back there would look really cute for y’all to be able to sit at. Can’t wait for the next video.
The yard look so good ✅. The animals will appreciate a new home & secure your add to run around in !!! You certainly stay very busy !!! Y’all are awesome 😎 !!
No lily they take over the ponds and kill all fish. Make sure you add texture to the ladder/ roosting bars so the birds don’t get bumble foot. The chicken hose and goose house looks very nice.
Roosting bar shouldn’t be more than 12 inches off the ground , especially for heavy birds.none of mine hurt her leg. Had to put a little brace on her leg for a couple weeks. You can stager them up so the lighter birds go up
Actually, grass purifies the water. I think you should have left the tall grasses. But maybe they grow back a little before the winter. Fish and water lillies or other purifying water plants sounds like a great and fun plan :)
And if you want to get rid of the weeds, you might need to rotate the soil and seed or plant something else around the pond. It will look great some day :)
@@Strooisuiker I fully agree. My experience is, if you want to get rid of a special weed, don’t let it grow, rip it out before it ends the flowering period. If it gets seeds, collect the dry seeds before you start to work. Deividis is a bit to late with that, means, they will have this weed next year again😢
@@Due152 There's always next year :) I am like that for sure. Whatever doesn't happen this year, might happen next year. And I only have small projects in my garden :D
Nice! Your videos should be seen by more watchers. May I repost your channel without changing anything on the clean platform named Ganjing World? Thank you!
I would advice not to use blade, was working a lot with this as a job in big fields where is ditches tall grass, bushes, water, rocks, trees, with blade there is a high risk to cut your own leg. Happen multiple times in Lithuania. One wrong move can end up badly. It happens mostly than you walk forward and miss the spot, human naturally wants to move trimmer blade near the spot you missed and thats is how it happens, it happens for strange reason, what you must do is step beck and cut missed spot, what is very not natural thing for body to do. Thats why in my country nobody nomore uses metal too many fatal injuries, also rocks pls use face shield and ear protection. Especially face i had many times rock flying in into my face, with force capable braking face shield in half. Also one more thing with blade it bounces same as chainsaw very dangerous thing. Thisis why evryone use string it wil do all job same as blade without anyrisk of death or bounce.
The most dangerous place in the home is the bathroom. You should avoid the bathroom at all cost. Or you could use padding. Eye protection, a mask. Maybe a helmet.

Our chickens had roosts that were at least 5' off the ground and they did fine. Birds like to roost high, if they can.

and i've seen coops with 2 roosts...one at about 3' and one at about 5'...they had their choice.
@@sherilynl4038 that’s what I did in mine.
Thanks so much for this tip. My rooster and an old hen had limping problems. They like to roost on top of a 2 metres off ground cage. No wonder....
You are so lucky that anything you want you can build. Because of this you can dream and have those dreams come true. Most people can never do that.
Your dog seems to be loving life on the farm!

I am awestruck once again!!
Can‘t wait to see the new chicken palace👍
Build plenty of ventilation for humidity to escape the building. Being dry helps keep them warm. Even with cold air.
How are mother hen and her chicks?🥰
Nice job guys. I can't wait to see what's next.

How is mama hen and her chicks? My hens follow me when I use the push mower, they jump and catch the insects to eat. Love from Susanne in Queensland.

make your perches as step/bars upwards so they can get down gently.

Also, look up 'gleying'! Your geese will help you seal and fertilize the bottom of the pond!
nice start
Will the house have a floor because I foresee animals and dogs being able to get in underneath?
Yes - predators will have no problem digging under the fence to get in… please bury some kind of metal fencing under the structure.
🌟👏👍🍀💐
What happened to the kitty we never see her anymore?
hiiiiiiii
Just wondering - I thought the lady pew pew had laid an egg or two?? Did they hatch/were viable? Would love to see little goslings one day.
