P good review of Armageddon. As legendary as imagawa is, Jun Kawagoe is a pretty excellent director for different reasons that imagawa is. He really understands what makes the sources he adapts works and even throws in some additions that are really cool, Armageddon isn't any exception to this. The worst you can say about Armageddon is the the earlier kawagoe episodes are kinda weak, but it's only like 3 episodes until everything kicks into high gear.
Just finished Getter Robo Armageddon. As someone who bearly knows anything about getter robo the 1st 3 eps wore a little confusing but I really liked ryoma. It got much better for me during the timeskip and the animation was amazing. I did like most of the characters and the final battle was awesome. It gets a 7.5/10
Yes, more please! Your review videos are enjoyable. I haven’t visited your channel in quite some time though, have you done Rahxephon before? There’s also a movie version.
Seeing this made me wanna play Z2 lol. Great video. Surprised at how long it took! But the payout hopefully will be worth! Gurren Lagann next anime tho?
Also, legends say that the last few episodes of Getter Robo Armageddon were directed by Imagawa uncredited. you don't see that kind of scriptwriting and screenplay and in Kawagoe's other work. Kawagoe is only good at rebooting old mecha IPs (basically Go Nagai and Ken Ishikawa stuff ) with a handful of referencing and budget(simple if not shitty) animation. I mean Kawagoe is alright in bring out the nostalgia in the form of modern anime. But that's it, he is not a director with ideas and messages. No personality at all. Maybe that's why he is the perfect choice of rebooting old mecha IPs. I mean Shin Getter Robo vs Neo Getter Robo (2000) and New Getter Robo (2004) is good, just because they are Getter, but the anime itself isn't that great. Look at the animations in Getter Robo Arc (2021) and you can tell. What a pity. I still believe Imagawa is the one behind the last few episodes Getter Robo Armageddon. It links with his style.
For being a super robot show it has some real robot elements, unlike other shows in the franchise, here dr. Saotome's research was funded by the military and the getter robot is mass produced, both classic and G versions. As you clarly see in the first episodes. What's funny is that the titular mecha itself was mass produced.
So basically Evangalion but with likable characters.
Remember when Getter Robo was about Giant Robot Dinosaurs? Yea.
Love this series though

WestTownHD Actually already did Gurren Lagann years ago
Gshadow007 ah. Also, the fact you render in 480p hurts my soul!!! Would it kill you to get at least 720? 😰😰
Eh, I would but considering it's simply me talking over a slideshow, I figured it wasn't really needed.

Still can't get over the fact Getter Dragon in the ending has no power and the new getter team is left in space.
Do you have to read the manga to enjoy the ova series?
Not really the ova is pretty much it's own continuity.
Getter Robo Armageddon is not in Sunrise Anime Studio!
Good review. I prefer real robot shows, but this sounds interesting.

Классный обзор. Только добавь хотя бы английские субтитры,а лучше ещё и русские
