For real. They don't even mention that he's been fined on 13 or more separate incidents for the same thing. @barry durham Nice straw man. He gets paid to play football, not deliberately hurt people. There is a huge focus on player safety in the NFL right now and Burfict is either unwilling or unable to adapt.
Look up videos of past hits he has been suspended and/or fined for. Most of them are completely unnecessary and some of them even occur away from the ball and after the play is blown dead. This man has a history of intentionally hurting other players and that has no place in any sport.

Diificult question, the one thing I would say is that (after being given many opportunities) he doesn't seem interested in any way shape or form in adjusting his style of play/behaviour on the field and if that is the case the law of averages will at some point come calling to the extent that what if in the process of making another one of these hits his timing is fractionally off and he ends up causing a serious (maybe life changing) injury to another player and/or himself. God forbid it happens but you can just imagine the fallout of people (maybe lawyers) asking why you continued to give chance after chance to someone who clearly didn't seem to care to change his on field actions/play style.

I disagree with Stephen A.& Max about not being allowed back into the NFL, but if I were having a conversation with the two of them, we’d just have agree to disagree. They’re smart guys that make good points all the time. As for Burfict, the guy is a headhunter. With a full history of dirty, illegal hits. The problem isn’t just that he can seriously hurt (paralyze or possibly kill) another player, he could possibly do the same to himself. He has a pretty long history of having concussions himself. Just look at Shazier, an accidental hit knocked him out of football forever when he could have played a lot longer. Helmet to helmet hits are no joke. They completely changed tackling at the youth level to avoid collisions like that. I don’t want that to happen to any player, even if I really dislike them. I want to see them hurt and still play, but not injured to where they can’t. Sore and bumps and bruises. No more than that. He needs to be made an example to players at every level of football. I don’t wish the guy ill, but I don’t think that he should be allowed back. Hope that he succeeds in whatever he might do next, if he’s tossed.

Since he is a 13 time offender, he relinquished that benefit a long time ago. Spears is correct. Burfict is dangerous for the league and to other players. I can appreciate old school football. But those days are over. There’s life after football. The players need to be protected from malicious hits and dirty players. Antonio Brown could have died. Till this day, he’s affected by that hit. AB literally self destructed on Sunday and quit. He took off his uniform and did jumping jacks. Ppl are criticizing him, throwing him to the wolves instead of helping him. Burfict ended this man’s career. He’s also destroyed several other players legacy with his antics. How could a team allow him to play 7yrs for their organization? Why would another team pick him up after that? And why would the NFL allow it. They all supported Burfict by just fining him repeatedly. Turning a blind eye to how he was destroying the league by maliciously hitting and turning the ankles of some of the leagues Premier Athletes. CTE is real and there’s no place in the league for players who play that way.

  • @Dreadedscoper_

SAS must have been told to argue this way. theres no logical reasoning as to why Brufict should be in the NFL. the logic of " i dont want to end this mans career, but its okay for him to keep ending other peoples careers" is one of the dumbest things ive heard a sports analyst say. he has shown hes incapable of fixing his behavior and its causing many other players to get injuries that will effect them for the rest of their lives and you think thats okay?

Marcus Spears made the most sense to me about certain things. Because you can see that Vantaze does not get the benefit of a doubt from people because of all the underlining incidents that were outside of a football play but if we are just looking hits then some of his hits are actually clean hits that got penalized because he doesn't have a good wrap and others are clearly illegal.

I'm almost 60 back in high school playing football we were taught to watch for and do things, it's football we were told. First watch your fingers when your under the pile they'll get broken. Don't put your hand out in a pile someone will step on it. Told to watch for but also to kinda recommend an opportunity. Other stuff like that, because it is football. While a sophomore in HS jumping to catch a pass my feet were hit causing me to pile drive into the grass. I caught and completed the pass and it was a clean hit. Spent the next week in the hospital in traction on my back and then a collar for 2 weeks. I had luckily only cracked a vertebrae but never played tackle football again.
Later in life coached baseball and football and even was asked to manage a older girls cheerleading team for 2 yrs. Never taught or mentioned my examples and encouraged clean techniques. Football is changing for the better but wonder why head slaps after good results are still done they're not just lite taps either.

What sucks about life is that you can’t change when you have a history. Haven’t heard his name in 2 years and quarter way through the season he “PURPOSELY” tried to hurt Doyle (what’s the motive)? Winning, not fights and he randomly decides after being a silent the past couple years, he makes one hit that other players have made and because of the history, he is out for the year.
