Being a Raider fan I want him out there on the field.but as a person who played football I know how serious that hit is.dudes past along with his demeanor makes me say he not only should be suspended but never play in the league again.
Doge Man it’s a rough case but the last one wasn’t horrible. Like max said it’s impulse control. Not a goon off the field just can’t control himself on it. Can’t remember a guy getting a life ban for on field stuff. Still didn’t kick his pregnant girlfriend and broke his sons arm tho.
The Finnisher I believe so. Even then, to say he played the 2018 season without an incident when he only played seven is making it seem better than what really happened
He needs to go before he changes someone else life forever. If you have to explain every single moment of the play then you know it’s WRONG. His history SHOULD be taken into account. He’s INJURING people on purpose. Teams should say they won’t play against a team that he is on 🤷🏽♂️
If they're just supposed to go on a case by case basis, then a season long suspension is too long for that hit. But if you're going to factor in Vontez's history that's the only way you could conclude he should be suspended season-long
Diificult question, the one thing I would say is that (after being given many opportunities) he doesn't seem interested in any way shape or form in adjusting his style of play/behaviour on the field and if that is the case the law of averages will at some point come calling to the extent that what if in the process of making another one of these hits his timing is fractionally off and he ends up causing a serious (maybe life changing) injury to another player and/or himself. God forbid it happens but you can just imagine the fallout of people (maybe lawyers) asking why you continued to give chance after chance to someone who clearly didn't seem to care to change his on field actions/play style.
Every other player on every other team sees a problem with Burfict leading with his head like a torpedo MORE than once a year. This isn’t the first suspension for this kind of tackle for Burfict. But he’s shown that it doesn’t matter what kind of repercussions he faces.
Potential Hall of Famer back then but In 2019 the dirtiest player ever. I know Montana wish he played in this era. Because what Leonard Marshall did to him in the NFC playoff game made this is hit look like a mild fart.
I disagree with Stephen A.& Max about not being allowed back into the NFL, but if I were having a conversation with the two of them, we’d just have agree to disagree. They’re smart guys that make good points all the time. As for Burfict, the guy is a headhunter. With a full history of dirty, illegal hits. The problem isn’t just that he can seriously hurt (paralyze or possibly kill) another player, he could possibly do the same to himself. He has a pretty long history of having concussions himself. Just look at Shazier, an accidental hit knocked him out of football forever when he could have played a lot longer. Helmet to helmet hits are no joke. They completely changed tackling at the youth level to avoid collisions like that. I don’t want that to happen to any player, even if I really dislike them. I want to see them hurt and still play, but not injured to where they can’t. Sore and bumps and bruises. No more than that. He needs to be made an example to players at every level of football. I don’t wish the guy ill, but I don’t think that he should be allowed back. Hope that he succeeds in whatever he might do next, if he’s tossed.
This hit was 4 games into the season. If he comes back next year, how do we know he's controlling his impulses until he unleashes onto someone else, say, 6 games into next season? And then this player has a broken neck and is paralyzed? No, Burfict's history says, he's out.
@@ozlovescoffee5595 true he only played 7 games, but like that season, each of these hits are situational, and there's nuance to everything. I don't think a full season suspension is appropriate here. Yes he's done this in the past but as previously mentioned each hit should be looked at on it's own.
He should be gone. He never takes responsibility for his own actions. I wouldn’t be surprised if the league denies his appeal after that direct hit to the head with the intention of hurting someone and destroying careers and most importantly, lives
Because he's proven himself to be a dirty player! Its facts! The nfl is definitely a different league and it's not fair to the defense but you have to have control of your impulses and he clearly doesn't
He made sure everybody heard that too after saying who it was. I don’t know who that dude is Stephan A! But when he tries to quote basketball sources he can never say who. Because you don’t talk to nobody in the NBA SAS, they don’t fk with you!
just like every other statistic, personal foul penalties should last throughout the players career. What the nfl needs to do is implement a rule which states if you recieve 5 pfs you are out of the nfl.
From a football standpoint, I liked the dude cus I’m a raider’s fan. He’s actually nice at the game but morally it’s not cool. It’s fine if he wants to hit them hard but cheap shots are weak and he deserves whatever comes to him.
People on both sides have a point. In these types of cases, history is even MORE important. If he was a first time offender, history would say to give him the benefit of the doubt. Since he is a 13 time offender, he relinquished that benefit a long time ago. If a defender intercepted a ball and Larry Fitzgerald did this, he would probably not even get a single game suspension because there isn't a player in the league who would even put his name and the word dirty in the same sentence.
I’ve watched the nfl for many years I’ve seen the likes of Lawrence Taylor, Zach Thomas, Brian urlacher, ray Lewis, Ed reed, Troy palamalu, Roy Williams, rod woodson and many more. I understand where people come from when they say,” you’ve never seen the nfl back in the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90,s and early 00’s. I can say the nfl has changed it’s not like it used to be when people enjoyed watching defensive players knock out offensive players. Now the game has changed to prevent serious injuries to the players. I do agree burfict should be suspended the whole year, due to his history. But maybe he may be out of the league now. Many people will agree.
Burfict has been fined 13 times and suspended 4 times! He has NO Respect for rules. His actions are hurting the team because the Raiders need him on the field. He didn't have to lead with his head, especially when the man was down already. He needs to play smart.
"I didn't break the rules for a year" is a pathetic excuse. Ruined ABs brain and probably many other people that we don't know about. Get rid of him before he does it again.
Spears is correct. Burfict is dangerous for the league and to other players. I can appreciate old school football. But those days are over. There’s life after football. The players need to be protected from malicious hits and dirty players. Antonio Brown could have died. Till this day, he’s affected by that hit. AB literally self destructed on Sunday and quit. He took off his uniform and did jumping jacks. Ppl are criticizing him, throwing him to the wolves instead of helping him. Burfict ended this man’s career. He’s also destroyed several other players legacy with his antics. How could a team allow him to play 7yrs for their organization? Why would another team pick him up after that? And why would the NFL allow it. They all supported Burfict by just fining him repeatedly. Turning a blind eye to how he was destroying the league by maliciously hitting and turning the ankles of some of the leagues Premier Athletes. CTE is real and there’s no place in the league for players who play that way.
SAS must have been told to argue this way. theres no logical reasoning as to why Brufict should be in the NFL. the logic of " i dont want to end this mans career, but its okay for him to keep ending other peoples careers" is one of the dumbest things ive heard a sports analyst say. he has shown hes incapable of fixing his behavior and its causing many other players to get injuries that will effect them for the rest of their lives and you think thats okay?
Woah sas he went one season without trying to end someone’s career. He should be out the league. Everytime he’s does this he is putting another mans career and health at risk. Why not talk about that ?
On the monday night game mixon layed a block on idk who but he targeted the head . he should be suspended . odel should be suspended . who ko josh allen should be suspended . why you nobody talking about that . its player safety everything bitching about?
This last hit he did was definitely illegal. However he should be allowed to play again after a long suspension of course. I watched a bunch of his hits. Some of these hits are not that bad. And some of the hits are actually legal good clean hits. Marcus Spears made the most sense to me about certain things. Because you can see that Vantaze does not get the benefit of a doubt from people because of all the underlining incidents that were outside of a football play but if we are just looking hits then some of his hits are actually clean hits that got penalized because he doesn't have a good wrap and others are clearly illegal.
I'm almost 60 back in high school playing football we were taught to watch for and do things, it's football we were told. First watch your fingers when your under the pile they'll get broken. Don't put your hand out in a pile someone will step on it. Told to watch for but also to kinda recommend an opportunity. Other stuff like that, because it is football. While a sophomore in HS jumping to catch a pass my feet were hit causing me to pile drive into the grass. I caught and completed the pass and it was a clean hit. Spent the next week in the hospital in traction on my back and then a collar for 2 weeks. I had luckily only cracked a vertebrae but never played tackle football again. Later in life coached baseball and football and even was asked to manage a older girls cheerleading team for 2 yrs. Never taught or mentioned my examples and encouraged clean techniques. Football is changing for the better but wonder why head slaps after good results are still done they're not just lite taps either.
He should be allowed to play again. I watched a bunch of his hits. Some of these hits are not that bad. And some of the hits are actually legal good clean hits.
Sax0 have you actually played football not with a friend but for a actual team? Hits like that you are not “fine” after you get up lol. A good percentage of the nfl players that died and agreed for their brain to be researched had major CTE. They should suspend him until he gets it together
Timon Davis I wanted to play it over soccer when I was little after 1st grade my parents made me quite not of hits wcause the helmet interfered with my hearing aids
Obviously history played a role in his suspension, but Burfict deserves. He doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt for his reckless behavior, nor does he deserve to play in the NFL again.
What are the chances that he hurts someone permanently and gets sued? Which in turn means that the NFL would be likely sued as well. Is this more about the NFL trying to protect themselves, moreso than trying to protect the players?
SAS is the same guy who calls for coaches jobs when they have consecutive losing seasons but someone who’s a repeat offender that is purposely trying to hurt people he doesn’t think he should lose his job. C’mon bro.
without a doubt, the rest of the season at a minimum. I would say that the next ejection is a lifetime ban. On the other hand, if the next time he paralyzes somebody, the NFL will be in that multi million dollar lawsuit for letting a known danger play the game.
I will never watch football again if he paralyzes a player, they made all of these rule changes just to allow one player to shoot to kill and just fine him ?? We need a new Commissioner soon as possible all of the owners need to come together, we're losing America's favorite game right before our eyes. 😧 I can tell you one thing if he injures a player in Philadelphia there wouldn't be enough security to hold back our crowd. BAN HIM 4 LIFE !!!
The past infractions should have everything to do with the suspensions! He’s out there just trying to hurt someone! He needs to be held accountable before he ends someone’s career!
Doyle was starting to get up, saw Burfict and said nahh. If Doyle kept going, Burfict would have hit his chest/gut. If you want to suspend him 4games for leading with his head, that’s fair
If I’m in Jamaal William’s camp I’m pressing to sue the NFL for being complicit in the attempt on his career by Derek Barnett. Only 1 player should’ve been banned for the season and it wasn’t Vontaze Burfict.
You would have many more people with severe brain injuries. Committing suicide and suffering horribly. There is no place for intentional acts like this.
NFL don't want another billion dollars lawsuits bankrupting the league or Will Smith making another concussion movie...or mom's making their kids play frisbee, soccer, E Sports or drone racing...for blood and death try MMA or watch boxing where people die after the fight...football is not boxing.
In 2018 Burfict got away with twisting Spencer Ware's ankle in the game against the Chiefs. To Stephen's point he was clean in 2018. He just didn't get caught.
He had to know it was a flagrant violation, especially given his history of illegal/questionable hits. He deserves a year off. He’s lucky he wasn’t banned for life.
Sure Vontaze Burfict didn't have an incident in 2018. He was suspended for a quarter of the games and then injured for more than a quarter of the games. He played in seven games, that's less than half.
Burfict is suspended not banned. Suspension may be reduced but real question is whether a team will take a chance on him again. I believe he will be back if he’s in shape to play when his suspension is over.
Actually Stephen A let Vontaze's agent know in 2018 he also missed the first 4 games for suspension (performance enhancing drugs.... fined 112k for hit on AB and JAmes Conner deemed unnecessary by the league and was inactive for weeks 8-10 due to hip injury.... so yea maybe no incidents during 2019 but missed 6 games and still fined for hits deemed unnecessary by NFL
Past history is a factor in deciding suspensions in EVERY pro sport, so why not here? The fact that Burfict exited w/an exuberant smile after his ejection didn't bode well.
What sucks about life is that you can’t change when you have a history. Haven’t heard his name in 2 years and quarter way through the season he “PURPOSELY” tried to hurt Doyle (what’s the motive)? Winning, not fights and he randomly decides after being a silent the past couple years, he makes one hit that other players have made and because of the history, he is out for the year.

You got one NFLPA member who's intentionally try to injure other NFLPA members. Good luck with that, NFLPA.
The NFLPA is defending him from the NFL and not another member of the NFLPA.
@@nomibe2911 All those guys he tried to injure on the field were NFLPA members.
@@nomibe2911 This does not make any sense at all!!! Then perhaps If NFLPA intervenes with the problematic members, the NFL will have no problems at all!
@@demad777 That's not their job and how their role is defined. Their job is not to work in conjunction or in concert with the NFL, it's their job to be a check on the NFL and commissioner's power. That's like saying your union should be working in concert with your job and on its behalf instead of its union members.
Ron S you're a buffoon. yes, people of course get hurt in the NFL. it is his job to stop a grown man from moving fwd against their will. you don't do that by going up to them slowly.
Why is molly back bring the one girl back
Michael Rimar other girl back on Monday night raw
Yes please
Being a Raider fan I want him out there on the field.but as a person who played football I know how serious that hit is.dudes past along with his demeanor makes me say he not only should be suspended but never play in the league again.
How can anyone say he deserves to be in the league after all that he’s done?
Doge Man it’s a rough case but the last one wasn’t horrible. Like max said it’s impulse control. Not a goon off the field just can’t control himself on it. Can’t remember a guy getting a life ban for on field stuff. Still didn’t kick his pregnant girlfriend and broke his sons arm tho.
BILL ROMANOWSKI
If you’re gonna say he didn’t have an incident in 2018, then how many games did he play in 2018?? 7. The answer is 7 games.
Danehh injuries?
The Finnisher I believe so. Even then, to say he played the 2018 season without an incident when he only played seven is making it seem better than what really happened
He needs to go before he changes someone else life forever. If you have to explain every single moment of the play then you know it’s WRONG. His history SHOULD be taken into account. He’s INJURING people on purpose. Teams should say they won’t play against a team that he is on 🤷🏽♂️
If they're just supposed to go on a case by case basis, then a season long suspension is too long for that hit. But if you're going to factor in Vontez's history that's the only way you could conclude he should be suspended season-long
Finally SAS put Molly in her place with that finger lol 🤫
He has done it to Max and several people when he is done talking to make his point, but yeah just choose Molly.
Exactly, NFL don't want another billion dollars lawsuits or Will Smith making another concussion movie
SAS wasn’t checking molly he clearly did the same thing again and asked a question 😭 y’all reaching
Every other player on every other team sees a problem with Burfict leading with his head like a torpedo MORE than once a year. This isn’t the first suspension for this kind of tackle for Burfict. But he’s shown that it doesn’t matter what kind of repercussions he faces.
If this was the 1970s Burfict would be praised as one of the best, most passionate and hard working players in the league
So true.
Well that's because they didn't have the technology and research on CTE and brain injury like they do now that's why 🤷🏽♂️
Potential Hall of Famer back then but
In 2019 the dirtiest player ever.
If this was the 90s he might be known as the best LB in the league lol
Not sure what league you watched in the 90's Leading with the crown of your helmet has always been known as stupid
visit my playlist what makes him a street thug? Being black? Or does he actually have a record ?
90s nah.... 70s oh yeah
This hit was 4 games into the season. If he comes back next year, how do we know he's controlling his impulses until he unleashes onto someone else, say, 6 games into next season? And then this player has a broken neck and is paralyzed? No, Burfict's history says, he's out.
He went all of last year without an incident, how do you explain that?
@@christopherfortson-linton4721 wasn't he out 4 games for peds and got injured
@@ozlovescoffee5595 true he only played 7 games, but like that season, each of these hits are situational, and there's nuance to everything. I don't think a full season suspension is appropriate here. Yes he's done this in the past but as previously mentioned each hit should be looked at on it's own.
Because he didn't have a single incident all of last season...DERP!
Christopher Fortson-Linton wow one season
He should be gone. He never takes responsibility for his own actions. I wouldn’t be surprised if the league denies his appeal after that direct hit to the head with the intention of hurting someone and destroying careers and most importantly, lives
The new league sucks and the quality of play shows it ✌️
Quality of life far outweighs quality of play! This man deserves to be suspended
@@matthewwilloughby2594 have you ever played football???????
@Lawrence yes and I have a son playing in college. Its one thing to play hard its another to try to intentionally hurt people
@@matthewwilloughby2594 how do you know that was his intentions
Because he's proven himself to be a dirty player! Its facts! The nfl is definitely a different league and it's not fair to the defense but you have to have control of your impulses and he clearly doesn't
SAS swears hes the NFL Connect oh we go way back, my sources ,we spoke on the phone ah ah
For real tho. He's the same way with the basketball too.
He probably does tho
He made sure everybody heard that too after saying who it was. I don’t know who that dude is Stephan A! But when he tries to quote basketball sources he can never say who. Because you don’t talk to nobody in the NBA SAS, they don’t fk with you!
just like every other statistic, personal foul penalties should last throughout the players career. What the nfl needs to do is implement a rule which states if you recieve 5 pfs you are out of the nfl.
From a football standpoint, I liked the dude cus I’m a raider’s fan. He’s actually nice at the game but morally it’s not cool. It’s fine if he wants to hit them hard but cheap shots are weak and he deserves whatever comes to him.
you mean nice as in nice and interactive with the fans? no problem there but a bit contradictive don't ya think?
People on both sides have a point. In these types of cases, history is even MORE important. If he was a first time offender, history would say to give him the benefit of the doubt. Since he is a 13 time offender, he relinquished that benefit a long time ago. If a defender intercepted a ball and Larry Fitzgerald did this, he would probably not even get a single game suspension because there isn't a player in the league who would even put his name and the word dirty in the same sentence.
One year without an incident is nice, but he relapsed 🤷🏿♂️
It wasn't even a year. It was 7 games played in the 2018 season
I don't even think Burficts hit was even in the top 3 dirtiest hits this weekend. This is stupid.
Now we know why AB is behaving the way he is now
I’ve watched the nfl for many years I’ve seen the likes of Lawrence Taylor, Zach Thomas, Brian urlacher, ray Lewis, Ed reed, Troy palamalu, Roy Williams, rod woodson and many more.
Max 💯 with that Riddler analogy.
Let's not forget how V. Burfict left with a smile on his face and blowing kisses to the opposing fans. Vontez Burfict enjoyed his bad ways.
Did you ever think that maybe he was smiling at Raiders fans
Burfict has been fined 13 times and suspended 4 times! He has NO Respect for rules. His actions are hurting the team because the Raiders need him on the field. He didn't have to lead with his head, especially when the man was down already. He needs to play smart.
I honestly think he gave Antonio Brown CTE
i think so too that hit was so hard bro
"I didn't break the rules for a year" is a pathetic excuse. Ruined ABs brain and probably many other people that we don't know about. Get rid of him before he does it again.
If someone did this outside a football game they’d be in jail for attempted murder
Jess Cornelius if anyone did anything they do in a football field outside of football they’d be in jail. Clown
No, they wouldn't.
He had no harsh hits in 2018 cause he only played in 5 games 😂😂😂😂 probably bearly any snaps at that
7
He knows what he’s doing he’s a dirty player that’s how he played and he knows it he should never come back
The NHL takes past suspensions/behavior into account. The NFL should be no different.
The NHL also makes videos explaining what occurred and the player's history. That's something other leagues can learn from.
We still wondering if he should be banned? Its 2019.
I think an entire season it's too much. I can see 6 games but that's it.
So why no one talking about Jeff Heath's hit on Allen Hurns.......?
The man is literally trying to hurt other people. Potentially ending THOSE players career. Get Burfict out of the league
Soft
@@bigty390 theres. A diffrence from being soft and not wanting a guy out here intentionally takings guys knees and ankles out
This last hit he did was definitely illegal.
And some of the hits are actually legal good clean hits.
lawreneph that my pt and this one isn’t
People don't remember how old school football was played. Saw a lot of players take hits like this with less protection and be fine.
Stephen Twilling yea I played my high school years they did you a favor. It could of messed your ears up worse
Obviously history played a role in his suspension, but Burfict deserves. He doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt for his reckless behavior, nor does he deserve to play in the NFL again.
Christopher Alexander shitburgh and raven and patriots have done worse and never get fine for it
idk how dude even still in the league nfl being nice still letting him play
Burfict really out here ruining players careers
Why no1 talk about the hit Jamaal Williams took from Derek Barnett? dude should be suspended.
That dude is gonna kill somebody
I will never watch football again if he paralyzes a player, they made all of these rule changes just to allow one player to shoot to kill and just fine him ?? We need a new Commissioner soon as possible all of the owners need to come together, we're losing America's favorite game right before our eyes. 😧 I can tell you one thing if he injures a player in Philadelphia there wouldn't be enough security to hold back our crowd. BAN HIM 4 LIFE !!!
He launched and speared the guy in the head. He's eventually going to seriously hurt another player or himself.
The past infractions should have everything to do with the suspensions! He’s out there just trying to hurt someone! He needs to be held accountable before he ends someone’s career!
THANK GOD THEY ENDED THIS CLIP BEFORE MOLLY OPENED HER MOUTH
Doyle was starting to get up, saw Burfict and said nahh. If Doyle kept going, Burfict would have hit his chest/gut. If you want to suspend him 4games for leading with his head, that’s fair
They are going to let him play till he ends someone else's career.
If I’m in Jamaal William’s camp I’m pressing to sue the NFL for being complicit in the attempt on his career by Derek Barnett. Only 1 player should’ve been banned for the season and it wasn’t Vontaze Burfict.
We’ve gotten too soft imagine having players like night train in today’s league
Mr.Sarcastic OD or jack Tatum and George Atkinson
You would have many more people with severe brain injuries. Committing suicide and suffering horribly. There is no place for intentional acts like this.
Football is a collision sport deal with it
Head injuries are bad for business. The NFL is a business. What part of this don't you understand?
Vontaze didn't have a violation in 2018...neglect to mention he only played 7 games or a total of 298(26.40%) snaps
Dude does steroids and attempts murder. Who would wanna be around this guy???
cubeincubes he using an recovery steroid that isn’t really helping his shoulder at all
No. Absolutely and unequivocally not. And, hold the head coach accountable too.
Soft league.
NFL don't want another billion dollars lawsuits bankrupting the league or Will Smith making another concussion movie...or mom's making their kids play frisbee, soccer, E Sports or drone racing...for blood and death try MMA or watch boxing where people die after the fight...football is not boxing.
Should be a website with a list of people he has hurt since GRADE SCHOOL
AB And VB are chilling right now 💯
In 2018 Burfict got away with twisting Spencer Ware's ankle in the game against the Chiefs.
Smith is the king of ESPN 💯
Burfict is suspended not banned. Suspension may be reduced but real question is whether a team will take a chance on him again. I believe he will be back if he’s in shape to play when his suspension is over.
Vontaze wasnt penalized all last year... Well he only played 7 games.
The hit wasn’t even that bad. How are they going to say Doyle is defenseless when he is trying to get up and run?
He didn’t have an incident last year but he only played 7 games. SAS didn’t add that lil tidbit of information.
