Congratulations! Your "Catra NO!" has evolved into a "Adora NO!"
I personally love how her Fuck You has moved from Catra for her selfish and abusive behavior over to Adora for her senseless sacrifice and "I Have To Do This" behavior.
the “adora gets EVERYTHING she wants” to “when do you get to choose? what do you want, adora?” pipeline is crazy. it really puts into perspective how much catra has changed through the course of the series, especially season 5. she realizes now that adora never wanted any of this, that she was moulded to become the martyr ever since she was born. and adora, kind and willing adora, will do it in a heartbeat if it means everyone else gets to live and she doesn’t.
it was never about winning or being the best for adora, catra realizes. it was always about doing the “right thing” because that’s how she was conditioned. she was told to let go, that she was the chosen one, that at the end of the day adora was not the one who mattered: she-ra was. and catra so desperately wants adora to choose herself for once. and when adora can’t do that? she can’t stand to watch what comes next.
THANK YOU! I’m so glad someone else sees it when so many others just rage at Catra for leaving. THIS is why it works!
@@robbieking4070SAME
Adora's been conditioned like this long before she even knew about She-Ra too, which makes it so much harder to overcome. It's something I also very much relate to from my own childhood, and a big part of why this show hits so close to home for me. Also, it's very funny because I'm usually the cat character in any show, but in this one I'm also the golden retriever protagonist XD
Also, there are very *very* similar themes explored in a fantastic anime called Symphogear which is also one of my favorites.
"Goodness that stands by in the face of evil, was never Goodness: only obedience."
"Hero is curse: those who live to be heroes - real, selfless heroes- in the face of unmistakable cruelty, hatred, and villainy will never make it to the better world they helped create."
Catra is right: it is unfair and wrong that Adora has to die to save the universe from the evil of Horde Prime. It was cruel that ever since her birth Adora has been walking a fated path, one that does not include her survival, engineered by the very culture that caused the need of her sacrifice. It is unfair that that the end of the day, Catra, who has come so far and is realizing the truth of herself, free of Shadow Weaver's influence, will be forced to live in a world without the one thing that would make her happy.
Adora is right: fate is cruel, the machinations of ancient mortals to bring about a world that *they* envisioned but willingly sacrifices the life of a child is evil...but the only plan they had left. They killed themselves in droves trying to bring about the Heart of Aetheria, both their only hope and only weakness. But Adora is kind, Adora cares about people, Adora makes people feel important -loved, even- when the people themselves are so broken that they can't even see a better life. Adora is brave, standing up to myriads of men, monsters, and machines, with the full understanding every fight could be her last. Adora is loving, both her friends and those who have wronged her, or felt that have; Adora knows that even the best of intentions can lead to cruel outcomes.
Adora is here to make this choice because Angela, a literal paragon of goodness and love, already showed Adora what those ideals mean in the face of unwinnable odds.
Adora is kind: she refuses to try to beg and barter for someone else, someone "less important" to sacrifice themselves.
Adora is brave: she see the terrifying choice and it's future, knowing that selfishness and cowardice would mean only delaying the end at Prime's hand.
Adora is loving: her loved ones give her strength and in return she uses that strength to help them, no matter the outcome, to make a world a better place for them, not just herself.
Adora is: doomed. And she knows it. She sees the grim reality of death in a way that Catra has *always* run from: Catra, the survivor, finally finding a reason to stand and fight that is more than her own survival, has not yet had that tragedy. Adora is used to loss and death, and when she shattered the sword she believed for a long while that her choice to avoid fate is what made all of the tragedy Aetheria is going through (if it's that patently not true).
Adora has seen finish line, sees the cost, but also the reward: sacrificing herself, if to even save only Catra, would be good enough for Adora.
In the words of Insomniac Miles and Black Cat:
“_ says I shouldn’t trust you”….
“_’s a smart one,…..but you got to make your own choices, kid.”……
Shadow Weaver: “She weakens you”
What a liar. Catra is her strength. She’s literally She-Ra’s crown. The traumatic gaslighting is beyond infuriating.
If anything, it’s YOU that’s the weakness.
Catra has always been the only thing that has pushed Adora to be better, protect the ones worth protecting and just being her own person and self, even when and after all the times she wanted to hurt or destroy Adora because of the pain that she inadvertently put her through, whereas You just see her as this solider. A pawn. A weapon that you want to wield for your own version of righteousness! You may have brought Adora in, but Catra has always been the one who has truly been by her side since she was just a baby that got pulled into this literal eons long war.
Love is actually a double edged sword. Yeah we've seen Catra be a source of strength for Adora but sadly here Shadow Weaver is right. Adora clearly has feelings for Catra but she's trying to suppress them and focus on stopping Prime but they keep creeping back up on her which is actually distracting her. What she needed to do was just come clean and express her true feelings for Catra right off the bat when she finds Catra feels the same way then yeah their love would definitely be a source of strength again.
@@digitaladventurer2142 True. True.
When you realize that Adora is a Golden Retriever, everything falls into place.
Because She's Blonde?
Hey, that's a spoiler for the final fight! You know, when Adora unlocks her Super-First-One powers and gets a radiant humanoid dog form? And it works surprisingly well, story-wise.
@@hannahburke7328 - Because she acts like a golden retriever and people treat her like one.
"No! Drop it! We don't throw tanks at our friends!"
Its heartbreaking seeing how being reunited with Shadow Weaver is pushing Adora and Catra back into their unhealthy mindsets. With Adora willing to sacrifice herself for the cause and not see her future beyond being helpful to others, and Catra thinking SW is going to hurt her again and so desperatelywanting Adora to chose herself for once. I just want to hug them both, they need therapy so badly after this show ends.
I know right? This episode really drives home the trauma Adora and Catra have both experienced.
Catra is one of the most tragically beautiful characters in media today. When the show begins, she shows traits of abandonment disorder - she's terrified of being left alone and has tied so much of her sense of self-value into her friendship with Adora, and no one else is friends with her. When Adora leaves, that threatens Catra's perception of her own worth and she compensates by trying to prove she doesn't really NEED anybody else's approval, but we see she still desperately craves it when she begs for Shadow Weaver's approval when the latter is imprisoned. Shadow Weaver is the closest thing she has to a mother and she's so used to getting stung by her that she believes that she is unworthy of being loved, and continually interprets Adora's actions as proof that it's true.
As the series gets on and she finds herself isolated on Horde Prime's ship, Catra has to confront the fact that she doesn't really like the person she's become, and that she does still want to be accepted by others. When Prime chips her, she becomes part of a larger group at the cost of her entire identity as an individual, flinging her to the opposite extreme from being an individual without acceptance to one with acceptance but without individuality. This finishes shattering her self-perception, leaving her to begin picking up the pieces when Adora rescues her.
Aboard the ship, Catra's healing process begins by admitting that she needs that validation from others, and Adora in particular. But Adora has always been a reflection of that part of her psyche, willing to sacrifice herself for others, and that's a major source of conflict in Catra. Adora ties so much of her own worth in being USEFUL to others to the point that she feels she has no purpose otherwise. Everything Catra admires about in Adora is something she hates in herself. When she asks "what do YOU want? When do YOU get to choose?" she's asking herself as much as Adora, because she doesn't feel strong enough to answer the question herself.
Because to answer it, she'd have to acknowledge just how flawed she is and how much she still needs someone else to say "you're worth everything I have, everything I am."
🥺😭that was so Beautiful!!!!!
My heart,….it’s too full!
Wow, longest and most heartfelt, thought out comment Ive ever seen. It's amazing
Fun fact: the Failsafe is actually a stylised Eternian word: “heart”.
Also, Hordak’s crystal says “loved”.
Actually it says LUVD, like loved
I heard somewhere that Hordak’s crystal actually says “Luvd”, as in, a bad spelling of “loved”, which is adorable
@@joshhumphrey736 actually you're right. It technically says "luvd", but that's because the Eternian alphabet is phonetic, not a 1:1 with the Latin alphabet, meaning it's the proper Eternian spelling for "loved".
@@Ariovrak New She-ra Lore has been acquired
This episode contains my favorite moment in all of She-Ra.
Catra says “I’m not doing this because I like you.”
And Melog, who responds to her inner thoughts and feelings PINS ADORA AND STARTS LICKING HER!
I will never get tired of that scene.
I like to think that this episode is when Shadow Weaver finally realizes that she raised two daughters who resent and hate her.
Especially right here at 21:10, after the fact that Adora completely retracts herself away from her because she has, in her eyes, once again driven Catra away from her based on her what needs to be done and now basically just wants to get this done to save everyone and magic from not just Hordak but also her. The second person who has basically ruined her relationship with Catra and her own life in general.
If you look closely at the opening, Spinerella is gone from the Horde splash art, and is in the title card at the end, kissing Netossa.
Don't worry I noticed I had to cut it because the songs copyrighted
My personal favorite Catradora moment in the show! "Did you just jump into fire for me?" 🥴
19:20
"What do you want, Adora?"
F*** off, this show still gets me so damn emotional. 😢
In the words of Insomniac Black Cat:
“You’ve got to make your own decisions, kid.”….
To lighten up the mood, I do love the effort they put into the written language for the First Ones. The failsafe is the word "Heart", the apron Wrong Hordak was wearing a few episodes ago says "Smooch the Chef", and way back in Season One the Sword of Protection had the words "Aim away from face" written on it to indicate that Adora was destined to become She-Ra.
And the crystal given to hordak says 'loved'
It’s always the BLOODY ANGST! The true killer of these BLOODY SAPPHICS! 😤
Ikr!
You're gonna love when Catra sings her rendition of Stronger Than You from Steven Universe
Yeah, Shadow Weaver is the WORST. Watching her constantly touch Adora's face really makes my skin crawl.
She's such an over the top villain i can't help but love her tbh. Big Mother Gothel vibes.
@@LucasF25 with just a hint of Darth Vader.
@@Otisboy121 I am not super familiar with Star Wars myself but that does seem accurate
Catra and Adora have both been down bad for each other from the start; Catra's always known while Adora didn't even have the words to describe what she was feeling.
They lean in hard on SW's manipulative nature here, because this is the first time since S1 where all three are together. They wanted to remind the audience that SW screwed with these two girl's lives, that they're both abuse survivors in their own way. What's interesting, though, is SW seems genuinely hurt when Adora says, "you ruin people." I think it important to remember that even abusers can love the people they hurt. It's twisted and disgusting, and in no way makes up for the trauma they cause. But they do care, on some level. Bad people aren't simple. And SW at least believes she "loves" Adora.
Shadow Weaver is proof that love isn't enough. She genuinely cares for Adora, Micah, and probably Catra, but that didn't stop her from being the worst part of all of their lives. Intention is irrelevant if the actions still hurt.
@@Celestia282 Like Darth Vader.
I'm don't think the intent is to make us hate Shadow Weaver, but rather to take this one last chance to drive home the trauma that splits Adora and Catra apart, so we understand what they have to overcome to be together.
But that doesn't mean we can't hate shadow weaver
@@user-mb9bl8kw8s Sure. I just don't think that's the intent behind the writing, though I can't elaborate on why without spoiling the finale.
And Adora has truly spelled it out with in this one sentence right here: 21:20
@@jimballard1186 I think I know what you are referring to and I don’t think that is meant to redeem shadow weaver either
@@joshhumphrey736 "Redemption" is a subjective standard, so I try not to argue that point. I'm talking about the effect Shadow Weaver has on Adora and Catra, and how long-lasting and complicated those feelings are.
"I feel I need a movie after this"... yeah, me too. Sadly that was canceled.
WHYYYYYYYYYYYYY 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

"Catra you fucking DESERVE it" as she talks about the cutest scene in this episode lol 😂 fine line between felines and Scotts 😂
For a while, I didn't know exactly why Catra chose to leave at the end of the episode, even though I was sure she had a good reason. But it goes back to the scene in the fiery hallway where she listens to Adora and Shadow Weaver talking. This is when she finally understands what we always have. Before, she would address Adora's want to save people as ego or loving "feeling like a hero." Now she sees that it's because Adora's been conditioned with a self-destructive martyr complex, and thinks if she can't protect or save those around her, she has no value as a person.
So as much as Catra tries to convince Adora that it's not right or fair that she has to be the one to shoulder this burden, her choice to risk her life by accepting the failsafe connects back to her vowing to stop Prime "no matter what." Even though Adora says she isn't doing it for Shadow Weaver, it's still following the "destiny" that she always intended for her, the perfect soldier that will do what she's told, regardless of the cost. And Catra leaving is her saying, "I can't watch you do this to yourself, constantly saving the world without even attempting to save yourself."
Yesss, man Adora's complex isn't as spelled out as Catra's. But I'm glad I learned about it, because it makes everything so tragjc with those two. Shadow Weaver... I hate you so much.
As someone who was similarly raised to sacrifice my own wants for the benefit of others, that conditioning is *really* hard to overcome and I'm still very early in the process of undoing it even decades later. This show did an excellent job of depicting it in my opinion, even with it being pretty subtle; if Adora wasn't the main character I don't think she'd get enough screen time for it to be as subtle as it is, they'd have to be more direct about it. I feel like that's part of why it works so well though, because this kind of thing *is* subtle, and can easily look like just being friendly or good at group dynamics.
It's often a lot easier to say what we don't want than what we do want also, from what I understand about Adora's issues, which is also something we see in the show.
@@lorettabes4553 Adora's hero complex has been a constant theme throughout the series, though its really focused on in the final season. Even in the first episode of the season she starts going on about how she can't do it alone when everyone else is literally right there helping her fight off Prime's forces.
Adora wouldn't punch Shadow Weaver in that moment because it would require her to stop hugging Catra's pack, which is all she has left of Catra right now.
Like when Gwen was wearing Miles’ jacket to not only hide her suit from his parents but also for comfort because she knows that Miles is in serious danger all because of her.
The Failsafe looks almost like a heart. A *broken* heart. What a fun coincidence!

How will they wrap things up? Why, in wrapping paper with rainbows, unicorns, and extra large coffees. Or perhaps with a tasty pastry topped with some blackberry preserves and a dollop of vanilla ice cream.

Their son from the future will so be ready to stop Hordak!
I would be heartbroken like Catra, too. Imagine asking the person you love most in the entire universe what they want and they reply with what they believe they have to do, essentially saying they don't matter. But you love them, they DO matter. But they don't seem to agree. It would really hurt because you'd want them to see how awesome they are because that's what you see. And in Catra's specific case it's even worse because for once, Catra is finally getting her relationship with Adora back together only for Adora to basically ran away all over again, and go where Catra _really_ can't follow. Even though she recognizes it's Shadow Weaver's fault, both for sowing doubt in Adora's mind presently but also setting her up to be a tool for others since childhood, it probably feels like Adora doesn't want to be with Catra.
4:52 "Evil is Evil. Lesser, greater, middling… Makes no difference. The degree is arbitary. The definition’s blurred. If I’m to choose between one evil and another… I’d rather not choose at all"
SHADOWWEAVER IF I CATCH YOU SHADOWWEAVER
I'm so glad that you understand why Catra leaves. A lot of people reacting to this episode get mad a Catra for leaving Adora in the worst moment and even call her selfish for not sticking around and thinking only in her self not in adora's well being, wich Is not true, It's exactly the opposite, she can't stand and see how the person she care the most, the love of her life Is wiling to sacrifice herself just for the common good.
Just like Miles, she doesn’t want to see the people that she loves die because of some Greater good when there maybe another way.
16:55 Mosco: "Why do you always have to do that?!" End of the episode, Catra: "Why do you always have to sacrifice everything for everyone else?!" Loving the sync here. In a good way. I gotta say it's refreshing to see when people get why Catra is leaving immediately instead of getting pissed or confused at her here. Also also: it's kinda funny that you watched The Owl House first and after Disney sapphics it's not too much of a stretch to believe in cartoon lesbians in a Netflix shows (especially knowing Nate and, say, his Nimona). Meanwhile lots of us were watching She-Ra VERY reluctant to believe that all those looks were supposed to mean what we wanted them to mean :DD Granted, we still read them as girlfriends, but hoping for canon was SCARY
9:21 when Mosco gets so pissed off that she goes into "anime swordfighter about to slash a mountain" stance
Chipping an entire planetary population is resource intensive. Pretty sure Prime would usually just glass the planet, but Adora *really* pissed him off, and he still wants that weapon. Oh, and, magicat, without a doubt.
I don't think anyone said it but I believe that Prime only started to use chips after Catra and her chip was less advanced to it couldn't fuse to her but when prime realized their potential he developed a new version.
It was a revenge thing that Catra mentioned...he wanted to *hurt* Adora after she took Catra, not just conquer Etheria. Before, he was fine with leveling planets, or subjugating their citizens; I don't think chipping them was ever part of the equation.
@@nathanmead9585it also ties into Adora’s weakness. Adora is afraid of hurting the people she loves/is supposed to protect. So chipping the inhabitants of Etheria and making them fight against her is a strategic move from Horde Prime.
Catradora ends up never happening because Catra runs away with Glimmer into the sunset never to be seen again
Me when I lie
Glitra is an unironically great ship though.
I think it’s also difficult for Catra with her constantly asking adora to “stay” even tho she doesn’t know what that means and now that’s she with her adora just wants to leave (die) again
The attention to physical contact in this show brings me to tears. Think back to all the times a face has been touched... how, and under what circumstances. ALL of Shadow Weaver's face-touches are manipulative. But other face-touches in the show have been gentle, even vulnerable. And that moment in the hallway, when she grabs hold of Catra and Catra spazzes... then after the fight, Adora touches Catra's shoulder and Catra fuzzes up... Adora retreats, then offers a far more deliberate and yet gentle contact... and Catra CALMS DOWN.
I think Shadow Weaver's being shown so much in these past few episodes because she is so close to her goal of power.... and with every moment Catra spends with Adora, she sees her control of Adora slipping away. She tells herself she's guiding Adora to properly use She-Ra... but in truth, she's trying to exorcise any influence that is not her own.
And Catra... she's finally come around. She understands what she has been, how awful a person she has been... how much like Shadow Weaver she became... and she understands now why Adora left. For the first time in her life, she wants Adora to do something for herself rather than for everyone else, including Catra (though keeping Adora alive is no small piece of motivation too, yay complex characters!).
In a way, at this point, Catra is actually further along the healing path than Adora is. Catra KNOWS what she was and no longer wants to be. Adora is still following the path everyone else set out for her, unaware of just how much she's been manipulated and unsure of who she is... much of her identity has been buried in She-Ra.
Granted, all this is just my opinion, heh. Only the creators know the thoughts behind the characters for certain!
Ideally, one does not get over their performance issues by thinking about their friends... 😅
Unless they're friends of Mara, amirite? 😏
"11:01" for that brief moment, both Adora and Catra were FLAMING together!
I'll be here all week folks! Be sure to tip your server!

Their Names Really Mesh Well Perfectly. 😻😍👩❤️💋👩
So, I think catra has always been in love with adora, since day 1. But because of how she was raised, she had no clue it was love, and had no clue what to do with it.
The hurt of someone she loves leaving is what sent her on her spiral* . She was hurt and did what she always does when she's hurt and scared, lashing out in anger. Tail puffed up claws out anger.
*(to be clear, this is 100% a catra problem and only shadow weaver is the other person responsible due to her stunting catras emotional growth).
We have come to the part of the series when the water spray needs to be pointed at Adora
Going back to "I wonder when it changed for Catra". On a previous reaction in s4 I commented that "Catra has a cathartic scene with Hordak and then they live happily ever after". I believe everything changed for Catra after that massive battle with Hordak in the end of s4. I believe she let out ALOT of anger in that fight which was blinding her to who she is now, because all that abuse she suffered finally boiled over in one epic battle with one of her abusers. I believe after that fight the anger wasn't as heavy, and that changed her whole perspective on things. Plus being alone and alone with Glimmer helped a ton ❤
What, in my point of vue, hurts even more I that, while Shadow Weaver is "the lesser of two evils" for all of them, she is plenty of evil and trauma for Catra and Adora (even Castaspella and Micah).
Throughout the season we learned that she was the closest thing both had to a parental figure and they spend their childhood with her. Children often view their parents/guardians as first heroes and copy them, it's how we learn to talk and do things, and unfortunately, how we also learn sometimes to view the world. Some people manage to make their own opinions but others don't.
And Shadow Weaver is the prime example of an abuser : she favors Adora while driving Catra to the ground (literally when they are little, in season one or two, we see her say to little Catra that she would kill her if Adora "hadn't taken an interest"). She sets impossible standards to both, gives little affection to make them stay, so many abusive things again and again. She is the big reason why Catra became evil/abusive in the first place.
And she holds Adora as a beacon, a hero while slowly making her doubt herself. She plays favourite with the one that she thought she could mold easier than the other, while also using them both to go against one another, even little, and becomes dependant.
And this episode shows how much she stills has such a grip on them both : Catra flinches and panicks, she managed to evolve without Shadow Weaver, to become kinder and let herself be more herself, but she's still afraid of that lame excuse for a parent that physically and mentally abused her; and Adora listen to Shadow Weaver, she has all those responsibilities and she lets SW add even more, not questionning why she knows so much, why it must be her that carries the weight...
It is horribly sad when you rewatch lots of times and see many details of abuse still imprinted on them both, it's literally tearing them apart even when they made amend (granted there are other things but like you said, SW interrupted EACH TIME they could have any conversations).
For me, SW is as irredeemable as Horde Prime, just because she has knowledge and "helps" the heroes doesn't make her actions less hurtful/easier to forgive
Shadow Weaver is one of my favorite villains in any work of fiction. She's just so utterly _vile_ - basically the poster-child for narcissistic abuse.
And, she knew about the Failsafe; she'd _been_ there. The only time she could've been there was back when she was Light-Spinner, which means she's known the key to freeing Etheria's magic for a _while._ Was that why she raised Adora when she sensed she had magical potential? Is this what Shadow Weaver was grooming Adora for all along? Is this what she was grooming _Micah_ for? Because she needed a sacrificial lamb; someone magically gifted enough to use the Failsafe, and obedient and 'heroically' self-sacrificing enough to be willing to burn for it? I could be wrong, but I suspect that stealing the magic at the Heart has been Shadow Weaver's plan from the very beginning. But now her 'sacrificial lamb' has vowed to do everything she can to prevent that.

Notice the difference in Mystacor when they're all hiding invisible from Micah. Glimmer starts to panic when she sees him, Castaspella puts a calming, nurturing hand on her shoulder, and she steadies. Catra makes a noise, Shadow Weaver forcefully grabs her and puts her hand over her mouth, and she's immediately triggered.
Nooooo we’re almost done 😭😭😭 i love your reactions, also, couldnt agree more: useless sapphics i love em so much lol
Sadly Adora really can't blame Shadow Weaver for Catra leaving. Its all on her, Adora has always been the type to sacrifice herself for everyone else. Even if Shadow Weaver hadn't said all that stuff about Catra distracting her she still would have taken the failsafe and been willing to sacrifice herself
If I were a hybrid species, I'd be a panda hands down.
17:08 When did the turns tabled?! 😂😂
My theory for this episode is Shadow Weaver knew about the failsafe before Hordak even showed up. She didn't know what it was but she knew there was a stockpile of magical energy. I think the reason she trained Micah and Adora and Glimmer and give them better treatment than her other charges is she hoped to use their power to unlock the magic because she wasn't strong enough to do it. Catra wasn't a magical prodigy or mystery alien super baby
Mosco is gonna freak out when He-Man and Duncan suddenly appear and pull a deus ex machina.
9:16 Masco Tapping into her Inner Catra. And yes Masco we ALL hate Shadow Weaver with the burning passion.
I can't wait for the Shadow Weaver redemption arc.
I would probably be DT's race, or maybe Rugelio's. Honestly, they're all so beautiful though that I'd feel happy as pretty much anything in this world. Of course, then that brings me back to DT again, because then I could just change into all of them!
10:50 So, this is more my interpretation than necessarily stated canon, but based on Entrapta's behavior earlier this season, I think it is fair to say that she has grown tremendously, but I don't really agree with the idea that her caring is a new development.
Okay, little bit (or a lot) of projecting here, but Entrapta is written with a lot of traits of Autism. (I'm always a little cautious labeling characters that I don't own since I don't want to speak for the writers, but I doubt this was unintentional).
One of the things I loathe about the perception of people with Autism is that they don't care about people or don't love people. That's not true. It is just blatantly not true.
But they don't show it the same way. They don't have the same interests, they often struggle with communication and social skills, so of course it can be quite difficult to apply a "normal" standard of caring and friendships/relationships there.
But they do care. And Entrapta's "I'm sorry I mess everything up" from Launch still gets me to tears every time I hear it because it is so raw, so true. It isn't that we don't care, we do. But we don't know how to word it, how to act like it, how to behave around people we care about to show them (while also doing it in a way that is comfortable for ourselves).
I think THAT is where Entrapta grew a lot, as did the princesses. Entrapta's newfound communication and social skills let her express her care a lot more, but I reckon it has been there for a while.
i mean this is how shadow weaver treated both adora and catra when all of them were with the hoard
Wait, this is the 11TH EPISODE?! NOOOOOO JUST 2 MORE EPISODES AND IT'LL BE OVER 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Once you're done with the show, I highly recommend the song "After the war" by Reinaeiry.
I'd like to be from Elberon-- those moth people are so cool looking!!!
Yeah, I think a lot of us wanted to smack Shadow Weaver at the end, there

Smug Adora almost makes up for the lack of drunk Adora.
We see that Catra has changed and is showing how she cares for Adora. Shadow Weaver has also said that she cares for Adora. So, is Shadow Weaver going to step in at the last minute and sacrifice herself so that Adora and Catra can be happy?💀 Will Catra and Adora have a happy ever after?❤️ Will Adora punch Shadow Weaver in the face?💥 Tune in next time for the answer to these important questions and many others(organ music playing and soap opera style stare off into the distance. Fade to black and commercial). Stay tuned folks for Mosco's next emotionally frustrated reaction.
In regards to planets other than Etheria being chipped. It's at least implied heavily, that this is the first time they have been used, in the Episode Taking Control
The way they wrap this up will blow your mind your heart will not be able to handle it
I've seen so many tattoos of the failsafe heart symbol and i think i want one too...
But i dont like what they did to seahawk at the end. I know they needed someone to make the sacrifice but man what a way to go mid shanty and all. I didnt think they would do that on a kids show. And then glimmers mum being THAT person. Wow. WTF.
This is never confirmed either way, but I've always theorized that Shadow Weaver had found the failsafe room LONG AGO, before adopting Adora so over twenty years ago. Possibly even before trying the evil ritual with Micah.
Mostly because the first time she sees baby Adora she says something like "that one is special", without elaboration, which I take to mean she sensed her heritage, magically.
That would also mean while she and Glimmer's aunt were searching for a solution, she was actually leading her on, trying to get her to think SHE had discovered this place etc. I wish those two had gotten an episode.
since you like this, and owl house, I want to suggest Voltron: Legendary Defender, and The Dragon Prince. They are both really fun shows that are similar and made really well.
She said she’s going to react to the dragon prince after She-Ra 🙂
@@weisserdrachey awesome
The animation is a little off in season 1, but it gets better as the show goes on. Her AND Elijah are reacting/ will be reacting to it is the best thing I have heard all day.
@@likecat7886 animation might be off but the characters are still fun.
They both are reacting to it? That will be fun
@@hollowbrinethehollowfiedsu6365 Definitly fun and very quateable lines. When I say off I mainly mean that quite a few people get turned away from the show becouse of it. (I was in the beginning, but I stuck around)
9:25 Pov: Mosco is talking to Elijah
I'm assuming that at this point you already have the reaction to the final episode recorded, and so I HIGHLY recommend these two videos: why adora matters & why catra matters, both done by five by five takes. I love their analysis of the two characters, and those videos really helped me better understand why I connect to both of them in such a deep way
shadow weaver unfortunately reminds me a lot of my grandmother and the specific type of abuse she inflicted on my brother and I when we were younger. she too split the manipulative possessiveness and direct more explicitly abusive behavior between the two of us, intentionally turning us against each other to create an environment of isolation where she had all the power. even after she passed we fought for years because it was what we had been conditioned to do, and it took awhile to wake up from that and realize that we didn't even really know why we hated each other
shadow weaver is a very well done example of a master manipulator and abuser, and she makes my skin crawl every time she's onscreen. having her come in during this episode after all the progress catra (and adora, but especially catra)'s made is ABSOLUTELY infuriating because she immediately resorts to her old tactics and successfully gets under their skin in a way that's genuinely painful to watch
my love for this series knows no bounds, and while I'm sad that you're reactions for this are coming to an end I've really loved watching you experience it from start to finish. super excited to see your future reactions to other content !!
Only 2 Episodes Left.
Lol, the Shadow Weaver rage is real XD
I feel soo validated after watching how much Shadow Weaver just infuriates her
And I would be some feline like creature on etheria
I love how much you act and think like Catra in this episode. XD
3:45 … am I the only one who actually cried profusely after what happened to shadow weaver…
Maybe it’s the fact that I had a crush on her ever since she first escaped to go see Adora…
(Pls don’t hate me, I was only 12 when I watched this…😂😂😂 and yes I still like her 👍🏽)
for my hybrid form, my mom would be a mermaid and my dad would be a minotaur, but because I was born with all the recessive genes, I just look like an average human guy.
I actually did this for a long d&d 5e campaign a while back. for almost 9 levels the party just thought I was an abnormally strong guy who could hold his breath for a really long time.
