because of my case design, I was able to hard wire the port and run .. I dunno what to call it.. a sacrificial wire / dongle that I plug into instead. it can wear, but is super easy to replace. it also allowed me to print a holder for and attach extra battery capacity (in the form of a highcap USB power bank)
One of the problems I found with the channel is that it is quite difficult to find simple settings. For example, I couldn't find the soldering temperature. This is normal, because you can always use several search engines, but many of us may find this information useful.
I'll never buy another lenovo tablet again because of this issue. I've had samsung tablets and replaced the battery and charging port in less than 5 minutes, easy fix. Lenovo is a pain to replace, I'm hoping I can bend the port back into position because I don't want to go through the hassle of unsoldering components. I'm going back to samsung, hopefully, tablets will have wireless charging capability soon.
at the very end, were you just lightly squeezing the micro usb port to make it more snug? My sons tablet still works but its really loose. It has gotten to where I have to make him power it off so it charges overnight. If the tightness can be adjusted without replacement I would be very interested.

I've got an old Sony my son was able to fix. Lenovo after that he won't even try. Third tablet is a Samsung, too young to have died yet. 😉
