@@BedjamRivera agree to disagree. LED strips would mean I can’t change them out, and when I do want to take them off they would take the expensive paint off with them due to the glue/adhesive on the back. I think the LED’s are more of the younger crowds thing and yes i’m younger then most, but I don’t find LEDs appealing. it’s hard to make them look “nice” and that paint was not cheap.. not trying to ruin it!
How about making a screen for the entrance area so you could sleep in there without worry of getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. Only other idea would be a small fan for airflow! Looks great though what you have done.
What a roller coaster. I really enjoyed the discovery of Joanne's Fabrics. You married a woman who's name definitely lends itself well to a boat name, and I totally watched her pick out your eye boogers with her bare hands. That kind of love is hard to find. My suggestion is to start switching out the lighting with LED replacements. The wiring shouldn't be too complicated and they are so much more energy efficient for your off grid lifestyle.
I am a new subscriber and love your videos! I bought a Cape Dory Typhoon 19 and restored my sailboat too! I painted the ceiling with sundown buff 1 part polyurethane by Interlux. I varnished with Epifanes. I am in Rhode Island as well and I hope to see you on the bay! Girl sailors! yay!
On the overhead bolts maybe take a small PC of dense foam cut into a circle and glue it over the bolts. The original cushion material might be dense enough and kind of recess where the bolts are on the cushion so it lays flat. Then just paint them white. Nothing like bolt groves in your skull. Boat looks great.
A solar panel and car battery to run your lights and charge your tech is a good idea. Use the side storage gunnels for oars, fishing poles, a long push pole and they have all sorts of rod holder accessories to hand over the side. To hold a grill, flood light, even an over the side toilet seat. A string of green lights to light up the water and attract fish at night. Also. Buy large sheets of Flex tape and a few spray cans or quart of flex seal. For emergencies. You can slap a 12 by 12 inch piece of flex tape on the outside of the hull really quick to cover a hole. Then spray inside of hull to make sure. And a hook ladder to get back in if you fall off. Railings to clip a safety rope to when your to far from land to swim if you fall off. They can be very short. 2 inches high off the rim on both side. Or one down the middle for a craft that small. I love your sailboat. I’d love to own it! I was born in ‘73. I’d add an electric out board on back , with a Tesla car battery if I went solar. Perfect for windless days.
do a table that turns the side benches into a bed so can sleep more people.. oh and build a cook area in from left corner by door in case of rain. Like a corner area or a floating flip down shelf so you can fold flat against the wall when not in use or use for a lap top or tv at night... you need a multi use cook area for sure...
One quick note, love it, looks great, 1 major thing you should add is some sort of cushion in the ceiling where the screws are so you don't crack yourself open, thank you for the video today, I had to run and get my phone because on a dark night when sleeping you might get really hurt bumping your head on those things, I think even shipping peanuts might work or some idea like that. I lived in your neighborhood I fished edgewater my whole childhood. Figured I'd share what I thought. Thank you Becca!
Your boat is looking sweet! Have you life jackets and the outdoor lite so others can spot you at night? Also, what about a portable lew? Hope you did not hurt your head on the exposed screws or whatever they are on the ceiling. Maybe cover them with a round foam pad with a fabric cover (you make) and velcro it to the area. That can hurt over and over again.
I’d wrap the main cushion with some cheap fabric or vinyl so that I could lift or remove it more easily when need be. All that storage under it is great. There’s so many ways to incorporate a table but I think making use of the white divider piece at the center would be the best way. Maybe something that can sit on top of it somehow. You did a great job. Also when you were cleaning the boat I just wanted to hand you Mr clean magic eraser, those things are the best.
Your doing a wonderful job. I love it. I have an idea I think would be good. The top that you slide open, I was thinking put some snaps across the front of it as if your laying inside the boat. Then put some kinda fabric or screen with snaps, so when your inside it gives you some privacy and some air n protection from bugs. With the snaps it will allow you to put it up n take it down. Awesome work once again. 🌝👍
I'm about to rebuild a small 15ft sailboat. I found it on my grandpa's land in the woods. It's an exciting project. Watching this video has actually given me great ideas. I'll be uploading videos for sure!!! Thank you Becca. I look forward to watching all your videos? New subscriber for sure
Loved this one it is one of my favorite videos and the cabin looks fantastic. That was a lot of work and effort to complete what you did. Your DIY projects are some of the best. Thank you and y'all are an adorable couple really a enjoy watching the two of you together.
Boats looking amazing Becca ya need to cover those bolts on the ceiling soon before ya hurt yourself , can't wait to see ya out on the water with it again you sky and Lyla are going to have so much fun
Fantastic job girl. Can't wait to see what you do for your table. But before you go any further please take care of the bolt ends on ceiling. Keep it up.
Loving the boat. I think picking white was a great choice. I think that green flimsy paint deal is a liner for metal ones where you just sit it in the metal one and when your done just throw it away so you don't have a bunch of cleaning.
Looks great. Would love to see the lights on. And for the pointy parts that you hit your head on what about a vinyl padded patch. A fish or star. Small but big enough to cover screws.
For the entrance to the cabin where the wood planks go you should build a bug net that slides in so it’s not always either completely closed off or completely open especially nice for those warmer nights
Wow girl! Well done for doing this all on your own, so impressive. And you’ve filmed and edited this so well! Can see how hard you work and how much care and attention you give to everything you do. Thank you for sharing. Wish you all the best with your new sailboat. Stay Beautiful, stay safe..
Such a great job. You both make an awesome team. You did choose the right colors, just beautiful. This is by no means a criticism of your choices, but I would add a fold-down table. A couple of gate hinges and some plywood would make it much homier and functional. I remember my Mom always saying, "never eat in bed, or you will wake up feeling crummy.." Keep up the great work..
Oooh ouch. I felt that head knock from the other side of the Atlantic! Great job. I've just bought a 40 yo 22 foot sailboat. The layout's completely different but you've given me some great ideas!
I had to cut out at least 20 minutes of the timelaspe because of that HAHA i was in the zone and forgot about the camera, oh well. thank goodness for editing
Color changing led's under the bulk head that runs around the cabin. Think something similar to lights installed under kitchen cabinets. Would create a cool vibe with colored lighting. Also maybe buy some white Flex Seal and paint or spray it on the screws on the ceiling. You will probably continue to hit your head on it because of its location, but at least the Flex Seal will rubberize the screws and make them less dangerous. Can't wait for the sailing camping trips to come!!
Nice job on the inside white look's good, excellent choice, glad you didn't just paint that wood and brought it back to life. You need to do something with those bolts that are sticking down that you bump your head on, maybe if you have some foam left over cut a section, paint it white and see if you can glue it up there. I can see many bruises if it stays the way it is. Love the motivation on this project.
Looks amazing! Great job! I would add a thin wooden piece under the black foam mat so you can easily access that storage. It would be harder to lift up the mat area. Or at least tape the mats together so you can lift up the mattress easily. Nice job! If the command strips and lights don’t work out I’d try an led strip.
looks great for a table take a piece of plywood and put two 2×4 edgeways so you can slide over the board on the boat so can have a table that u can remove it
Good job! Looks great! How about magnetic curtains on the lil side windows and use some rubberized chalk on those bolts that you hit your head on. That way if you ever need to loosen those bolts you just peel off the rubber. Love your videos.
Yay! Your boat looks amazing. Love the curtains and lights. You did a great job with the cushions and the color scheme. Way to go! Love that you had on a Purple Rain shirt too. Prince is my #1 💜 Awesome job! You should be so proud of yourself!! 👊🏻💪🏻🎣
White was the right choice. Looks like you are putting your head at the narrow end, I would be claustrophobic. I would have to put my head at the higher end, lol. It is super cute. Great idea to move the curtain higher. It really did make it sharper looking. You did good:) looks 100 percent better!
Becca, you may want to add caulk or a small plastic dome to cover those exposed screws that you hit your head on earlier so that you won't draw blood next time.
Sup Becca, sup lila, did good job, correct paint, hope holds up, surprised he didn't tell you to prep walls cleaning with TSP(trisodium phosphate)? We used in apartment painting, and boat cabins, so start with pure clean surface for paint to adhere, some cleaners leave a film. Great tho, think of replacing lights? Or bulbs? If too bright or not bright enough for you? Daisy freaking out beating me with tail🤣. Can you put pull out drawers in that deep dead space on both sides of entrance like truck drawers? All you have learned can you imagine what the future holds🤙, need 2 seats at wedding 😂. Forgot, have someone grind those bolt heads off at nut👍. tyvm tc🎃
Nice work looks great 👍 personally one rear bunk i would build a slide out kitchen that slides in and out that has a cooker , sink and a 12volt fridge all together when not needed slides back and you have more seating makes sence
Way to put the effort in Becca!! Good motor and you should be ready for adventure!! Bye the way your probably the first googan to complete a boat 🤔 just saying 😁

I hope you checked the swing keel for proper functioning .. The side bench seating is also a bed area .. Longer foam padding going under the cockpit .. It is possible to make a small gally/kitchen counter that can slide under the port side or starboard side where the bench seat extends under the cockpit

Great job Becca looks great what about a table slides on the white piece with support legs in the middle but 😲 and a chain storage on both sides of couches the empty storage I'm sure you will come up with an idea!
You can cut a board and pound it against those bolts from your mast drill holes so the bolts and nuts fit then double stick tape it up so you can easily remove it if you need but you can sand it down and stain it to match your shelves
so much hard work went into this one but i’m so happy with what we did. what should we add (if anything)?
Personally I would've gone with an led strip for the lighting because they're adjustable & very easy to hide, but that's just me.

@@Brit_explorer oh yes, i’m trying that next time I take her out, but for aesthetic reasons, i put the pillows like that!

Maybe add a piece of padding over those bolts to shield you head! But it looks sooo good!
Looking good. Get a mast and sail. You're going to love sailing.
White is a great color for the boat that's what I would have gone with
Need to get a canopy built for extending your living space/ protect from the weather
consider adding mast, boom, rigging and sails. Then call it a sailboat. Now its a floating camper

Yes you actually can return an item to Walmart even after you ripped the package open! Just make sure you keep your receipts!
It looks fantastic Becca! Love how all the colors came together! You did 👍💕💜
It looks amazing!! I can’t wait to see more! Great job Becca

👋🏽 Hi to Lyla & Skye!!
I was positive that was the Bed Bath and Beyond parking lot in Warwick! Hello from NK turned out great!
You should add a Sail!!
Love it the only thing I would change is putting a small cage around the screws in the ceiling, that looked like it hurt a lot when you hit it.
Yep this was my #1 concern as well, something really needs to be done about this before someone gets seriously hurt. :(
Looking awesome!!!
Great job Becca, I can't wait to see what you do with the outside of the boat.
I personally would have done the dark brown but, I love that kinda dark moody look. I think it’s looking great though! Nice work!!❤
Your doing a great job Becca 👏👏
It's looking good 😊
Can't wait to see you, Lila and Sky spend a night in the boat, you just need a heater, it is getting cold here in New England....
Keep up the enthusiasm and courage to fulfill your dreams.
Nice job with the curtains.

Great job girlie.
Are you going to get a mast and sails for your sail boat . I notice it has a droppable keel .

Great Job!
The boat looks great 💯💯💯💯
Great job looks great. Would love to see something done for the two long thin windows for privacy but I love what you’ve done ❤

I also recommend taking the ASA 101 sailing course
Great job Becca looks great what about a table slides on the white piece with support legs in the middle but 😲 and a chain storage on both sides of couches the empty storage I'm sure you will come up with an idea!
Wow well done looks great way to go keep going so happy for you keep safe love ya
Looks great! You have inspired me to do the curtain idea with my sailboat. Great idea!
Good job!! You did Awesome work! Looks cozy. 🐟
Awsome job Becca, it's gonna be nice and comfortable when you get done.....can't wait to see overnight videos in it!
Awesome job
You can cut a board and pound it against those bolts from your mast drill holes so the bolts and nuts fit then double stick tape it up so you can easily remove it if you need but you can sand it down and stain it to match your shelves
Looks great .
thank you!
OMG am I the only one who actually smelled the glue when she was spraying it on the foam?? This is so fun to watch....
Needs a mirror on the ceiling and your set . 😉
Love the rig, looks amazing with what you’ve done to it but you should definitely add some sort of stick on cover for those bolts
