A wonderful presentation. Years ago I read some old texts from the Jagiellonian University that referred to the Divine Liturgy of Mała Polska, it was done in Slavonic. Also, there are no other texts to support this. It seemed that the Franks worked hard to wipe out the legacy of Sts. Cyril & Methodius. Yet archeology shows us that there are foundations of Byzantine chapels and Churches along the amber route from Constantinople to the Baltic Sea. The manuscript was found in the Bulgarian Zograf Monastery on Mount Athos in 1843". Medieval Bulgarian texts are also - "Азбучна молитва", Симеонов сборник, "Проглас към евангелието". "За буквите", "Шестоднев", "Златоструй", etc. Not to mention that the oldest manuscript in Cyrillic is Bulgarian. You can come in Bulgaria and see it in our National library...

I do not understand. At 5:39 the reader reads text that says "Because both of thee hail from Thessalonica (Solun), where the folk speakest pure Slavonic." The language of Thessalonika was Greek, not Slavonic. Slavs attacked Thessalonika in the 6th and 7th centuries but were not able to take it over. Both Methodius and Cyril spoke Greek as their native language.
The Basileos means that the Slavic element prevailed over the Greek in Thessaly in this period, so even Greeks and half - Greeks like Cyril and Method had to speak pure Slavonic. You are right, Slavs never menaged to capture Thessaloniki. They settled peacefully in the vicinity and became majority in those centuries.
Minimising the Bulgarian factor - the appearance of the cyrillic alphabet - doesn't make your video adequate. What Macedonia are you talking about ? Ohrid was as important as Pliska and Preslav. If the Bulgarian king Boris didn't accept and instruct the not sold to slavery students of Cyril and Methodius to create the cyrillic alphabet for the same purpose as Rostislav, you would have ended up with latin or some turkic script to use for writing ! There is no such thing like Church Slavonik, like there is no Church Roman and no Church Germanic. This is all anti bulgarian propaganda. There is no such thing as Macedonia or Macedonians in those times. Only Bulgaria. From Budapest to Thesloniki and from nowadays Moldova to Albania (including) was nothing else than Bulgarian Empire. Gorazd was a Moravian. Maybe. But all the others were presumably bulgarian. In the time of Cyril and Method the forming of Bulgarian ethnicity was already completed.
