Considering she shaded the girls who didn’t show up for the dance mom reunion. It sounds like she’s just repeating the toxic abuse that she was raised in and doesn’t see anything wrong with it. It’s sad really
Yea she's never spoken ill of dance moms nor her aldc days which is suspicious cause obviously Abby is problematic. I never liked how she treated any of the girls.
Honestly Jojo’s first abuser was her mum, dying her hair as a toddler and pimping her out for stardom anyway she could, leading to the second abuser, Abbie who confounded it all and her mum who of course allowed any and every bit of it for the goal of stardom. They now continue this trend with the XO kids and Jojo does whatever her Mumager wants to keeps the career going and Jojo will defend both women with her life. It’s like the worst and weirdest type of Stockholm syndrome.
It was such a prolonged joke that was also just a slap in the face to people the same age bc we don't have the time/money nor proper health to even have kids meanwhile she's joking about it and even doing a "baby clothes haul"???
the cycle of abuse is real. jojo was verbally abused by abby lee miller, and then became very successful, so she does the same to the xomg girls. it's textbook.
That picture of Jojo in the thumbnail where she’s pretending to be pregnant and saying “team boy or team girl” with that goofy smile will forever be one of the most cringy things I’ve ever seen
That was seriously the reason I deleted Snapchat.(posted comment before it talked about this in the video) Every time I went on the subscription/recommended side it would either be clothless people, beyond mind rotting content or Jojo doing a target hall of a bunch of baby clothes (pretending to be pregnant) and then did a “giveaway” bc she lied about being pregnant. It is just weird. They have to do this clickbait, creepy se*ualized content just to get more views 😢
@@thegrimlooper Yes, I’ve noticed this trend of “pregnancy clickbait” on Snapchat and it’s just so weird. I can understand an influencer sharing their pregnancy journey with their audience, but the way some of these people on Snapchat clickbait it is so bizarre. Don’t even get me started on Landon McBroom clickbaiting his EX’s pregnancy. It’s so cringe and weird.
I'm sorry, did you say her mother has been BLEACHING her hair since she was 2?! That alone is enough but add the side pony too....how the hell does she have hair left?! I swear, bleaching the hair of a child that small should absolutely set off red flags to CPS or something. I'm not saying take the kid away but like, parenting classes and some monitoring for sure because clearly that mom doesn't have her daughter's best interests at heart. My lord.
that only scratches the surface of the insanity, and they both (mother and daughter) constantly speak about all the absolutely insane shit (dragging her out of bed as a toddler to perform her solos, auditions constantly from literally 2 y/o, performing at concerts until she bled because of her shoes and not stopping, making her sing despite jojo hating it...) as if they were funny anecdotes and not really horrifying.
Also, sorry, but HOW IS DANCE MOMS ALLOWED TO EXIST?! We have failed as a society if we make entertainment out of small children being literally bullied by the adults in their life. I hate it.
Honestly, it is super real in a dance studio (not ALL, but many, especially competitive ones) they just put it on tV and told them to play it up. doesn’t make it right necessarily, but it is a reality that exists
I agree. Reality TV and fame is exploitative and traumatizing with ADULTS much less children. Like family channels, they can't really consent to being celebrities. It's like the Truman Show. Also, laws like the Coogan Laws that protect child labourers in film don't apply to reality TV. One of the Duggars had to sue to see any of their money. This is concerning.
It's also worth mentioning Jojo still very much defends Abby Lee Miller's treatment of the girls, even on seasons she wasn't even on, going as far as having online beef with some of the girls that would speak out against Abby.
Yeah, cause she is being and has been groomed by Abby Lee Miller since she was a small child. It doesn't excuse her behavior, but like, when you're deep in it you literally cannot see outside of the world they create for you. You don't see them as abusive, or you gaslight yourself out of your feelings. Like she might genuinely not realize that Abby is her abuser, and cannot see that this is abuse. Because this is how she was treated, and that can't be abuse because then Abby would be abusive, and that conflicts with this world that your abuser creates for you, and you subconsciously shove that thought so deep down, until you truly believe they are not hurting you.
@@lauravalentine123 I honestly have no idea why more Dance Moms fans don't mention Chloe not being straight and act like Jojo is the only LGBTQ+ person who was on Dance Moms. I get why non-Dance Moms fans don't because Chloe's not as well known as Jojo, but it rubs me the wrong way that some Dance Moms fans act like Jojo is the only gay person from Dance Moms.
Tbh I kinda see Jojo Siwa’s life as a case study. Someone who was born and raised to be a child start got older than the life plan her mom set up for her, what happens now? She does things that are absolutely messed up and abusive but it’s so glaringly obvious why she does those things that I can’t see it the same way as if it were someone else doing it. Like her defense of Colleen is so clearly because if Colleen grooms children, and was friends with Jojo when she was a child, then that would me Jojo was groomed, and that’s a hard reality to come to terms with so Colleen just wasn’t a groomer. I hope Jojo is able to wake up one day but if she keeps trying to be in the spotlight I doubt that will happen. I wish the best to all of her victims and the victims of those she supports.
@@amazingspiderladthis. There were so many of this type of show, except nobody from Toddlers and Tiaras ever got famous for something that wasn't severe child abuse
@@apathybronson Exactly, parents like this will always find a way to put their kid in the spotlight. If Dance Moms hadn't been a thing, they would've just gone on a different show
honestly while of course what JoJo said/did is bad (if it's true) the one who i really feel sick from in this whole scenario is Jessalynn. She bleached a toddler's hair, had JoJo do dance solos from like 2, 3 years old, dragged her to auditions from preschool age and forced her to sing basically, which JoJo hated. There was an absolute 0% chance of this going well and her avoiding the child star crash down. Now she's an adult herself and accountable for her own actions, but this girl never had a conscious moment that wasn't for fame and stardom and performing to the point of physical harm and i think that's something that needs to be taken into account.
The problem is that currently JoJo still thinks that she chose this lifestyle, until she has the realisation that Jess chose this for her I don't think it will change. If it wasn't for the fact that Jess and JoJo have their girl group XOMG Pop I would be all for JoJo taking her life in whatever direction she wanted.
The JoJo "I'm not a kid anymore" era seems a lot weirder than Miley as she was a child star who got her start on Disney. JoJo independently built a brand of kids toys and accessories. It's like if Mr. Rogers turned up in a g-string, flipping us off. Uncanny valley territory. It would be more interesting to see her leverage her success into a more mature business model like fashion or something. I mean, she can't sing, but I'm assuming she learned a lot about branding over the years and could make the leap to doing something really cool and productive. This just seems like a big child overcompensating. Very much someone who didn't get to be a kid when they should have and now they're gonna be a weird, kinda inappropriate adult.
I find Jojo Siwa's current state more concerning and alarming than Miley Cyrus' break from Disney. Miley is (to a degree) aware of the damage that her early stardom and the toxic culture that hollywood had on her. But Jojo (from several evidences and stories about her) seems to think that the hurt and damage she suffered was okay and justified because she turned out "successful" in a sense :/
At first I agreed with this statement but I’m not sure the more I think about it… I think it’s completely fine for an adult to act like an adult and do adult things, but I think jojo handled it very very poorly. What she should have done was slowly changed her audience and looked at the statistics of who was watching her and she should’ve tried being more calculated with it in a way that changed her demographic.
JoJo had all her branding through Nickelodeon (there was probably some independent stuff before that as they started with the bows). They were also the ones that backed her tour. They split with her after she finished the rescheduled tour, didn't help her cast that she publicly called out Nick for not wanting songs from The J Team in the tour (don't know who spilt with who, just telling that after the split she wasn't invited to the Kid's Choice Awards)
Honestly- as soon as I heard the age of 2 I was horrified! That's insane! I imagine a 2 year old wouldn't fully understand how bleach can hurt them either. Imagine if she had accidentally gotten it in her eyes or ingested it somehow. I have a 2 year old who loves to try putting everything in his mouth. I can't imagine trying to bleach his hair. That's truly insane
Oh yeah. My mom wanted my natural blonde hair to stay blonde but she would do little highlights in my hair when I was in 4th grade. My mom never touched any of my naturally brunette sisters hair until middle school when they wanted a little fun. But my mother NEVER bleached our hair at TWO! My hair was already white blonde but at TWO there’s a bit of pain that goes along with bleaching I could not imagine poor child.
@@mousesnow3900and bleaching does irritate your scalp. I’ve gotten used to it as an adult I say burn baby burn. But dear god she I must have had some pain. That’s just ridiculous.
I used to work next to a Claire's, and I remember when they entered the age of Jojo. like it was suddenly the Jojo Siwa store. I popped in to talk to the girls that worked there and they were shell shocked, like "we don't know wtf happened, this is all they send us now" lol
I remember hating her so much as a kid because of how childish she was (I’m 3 years younger than JoJo too) so now years later I feel so bad. My mom would always beg me to wear JoJo bows because I looked cute in it.
The craziest part about Jojo clickbaiting her fans with the pregnancy content + the baby clothing hauls- is the fact that she has come out recently to say that she's "ready for kids" and wants to start a family, on top of saying in an interview that she already has a sperm donor for some reason (don't know if thats a joke or not). If that's not an insane form of foreshadowing then idk what is- also if her intent to have kids is actually real- that further implies/reinforces the dangerous cycle Jesslyn and Jojo are perpetuating due to Dance Moms
@@asarishepard8171She has talked about wanting a kid of her own but she is going to push them. In an interview she said if they wanted to do sport, they would be going to the Olympics. So that says a lot how she would parent a child. So basically she is repeating what her mum did to her.
As a survivor of grooming, I feel so fucking hard for her. Like, all the was I see her acting are very very clear signs that she is currently mimicking a lot of behaviors of her groomers, and she is likely so deep in it that she can't see out of it. Which happens. The things you believe when you are being groomed is kind of insane, you become a person molded to your groomer. The behavior on her show? Does that sounds like a certain dance instructor? Cause like the way she is treating these kids and their moms is *exactly* like Abby, her biggest groomer. And it's so haunting to watch, and I hope someday she gets out. I'm not saying this excuses her behaviors *at all* but, I think it's an important part of the conversation that gets left out
i was shocked jojo is a brunette. i knew her mom bleached her hair since a child but i thought she was blonde and just got it lighter, which it was bad enough. that's very rough on her! i have a 2 year old niece and can't imagine something like that. specially because of the fact i NEVER SAW ANY ROOTS, so they probably bleached it every week. crazy, no wonder her hair is so frail
When I worked at Disneyworld last year we kept having to stop JoJo Siwa from doing cartwheels and handstands at the preview for the new Tron ride because she was becoming a hazard just to make Tik Toks
Jojo comes across as terminally immature with no self awareness whatsoever. I saw her saying she already has names picked out for her future children, and has the names tattooed on her arm already. People are objects to her, just as she was as a child. Not impressed by her.
Not defending her actions but the future children tattoo thing could be a subconscious trauma response. Like the inner part of her being like "I want to take care of and raise a kid the way I wish I'd been taken care of/raised." Even though by all accounts she claims she was raised fine, I bet there's a part of her deep down that knows this isn't true and probably wants to "rectify" it by giving her own future kids a better life. EDIT: Okay after hearing about how she allegedly treated the kids on XOMG pop, there goes that theory out the window. I was just trying to have some faith in humanity 😪
@@willowlav You needed to hear her talk about these potential kids, they would be allowed to pick whatever sport/activity they wanted but once that was picked it seemed like it was locked in and they would be going all out competitive league etc.
Jojo siwa is OnLY 20 goddam years old. She isnt old enough to have finished college. I sincerely hope that Jojo cooks and can someday become a fully realized non-fucked up adult. Idk its clear none of the people in her life have much of a concern for her wellbeing. Shes two years younger than me and im quite young by most peoples standards
Yeah. She also hasn’t had the hindsight of independence or getting away from it all to form her own ideas or to recover from her childhood. I don’t agree with everything she does and says, but I do feel like she is very troubled and I do feel sad for her. Child stars never really have a chance to grow up normally or to develop their identity.
You know, there are often times when I think I'm too immature... ...And today I learned that Jojo Siwa is only a year younger than me. The internet has both disappointed me and made me feel better at the same time. Thank you and curse you!
She needs serious therapy and she needs to break free from her mother's influence. I sincerely hope she gets better and breaks the cycle of abuse. I recently found out she's a year older than me and that was a mindfuck.
I had no idea she was on dance moms. I had no idea she had any affiliation with Colleen Ballinger. Being in your 30s is fascinating. I learned something today.
Oh yeah, it was so telling that JoJo was defending Colleen against grooming allegations by saying that I know it isn't true cause we have been friends since I was 12.
If u don’t know dance moms then u probably wouldn’t know another girl, Abby, got famous from dance moms and was in some music videos but specifically for the singer Sia and there’s a bunch of weirdness around that situation too…!
I truly still don't understand why she was bullied so much for dressing "childish". I don't think there's anything wrong with dressing "not your age". I actually really love alt fashion like goth, lolita fashion, decora, etc. for example and people always bully those who dress differently. Plus with Jojo there's clearly more to actually care about that she's done rather than how she dressed.
I remember at the time, people were not only mocking her but also attacking Danielle Cohn for being the opposite. It was a case of "yeah Danielle dresses like a ****** but Jojo is too childish and cringe ew" so you can never win when you are a teenage girl
@@lilliesinthegard32 Exactly. It doesn't matter how you dress, there will always be hate. "Cover up too much" "Don't cover enough" there's never a middle ground and even if there was.. that'd be rather boring imo.
I noticed the weird aversion of people have towards others into the cute or child-like aesthetic. There's nothing wrong with dressing differently, life's too short for boring clothes.
I really disliked it when people made fun of JoJo for being tall. They also said something along the lines of she acting like a big child, but that’s unfair because if she were short or I guess cuter to everyone else’s standard, no one would’ve seen a problem with it. She can’t control how large she grows.
@@bree554 I find I don't have an aversion until sexuality enters into it. I suppose I feel on pedoguard. I watch anime, soI love cute. My brain likes to keep sexual and cute on separate flights.
Thanks for covering what happened with XOMG POP the way those little girls were treated by Jojo and her mother is disgusting. I hope they are compensated!
Why tf do people watch Dance Moms? Seeing these kids get verbally abused, treated like their purpose is to perform and being denied a happy childhood sounds like a thing you'd show someone to torture them, not something you'd watch for entertainment.
I *liked* watching for the purpose of seeing dancers, well dance, I'm not a good dancer, and for PE a lot of times performance tasks are folk dances.. It was quarantine as well lol so out of boredom. But that show is disgusting and should've never existed. Kinda wonder how the girls would turn out if it wasn't tv show to begin with; they were just normal children
My boyfriend used to watch it/clips from it because he enjoyed laughing at Abby Lee Miller. He stopped a while ago and I assume it's because he got through the moments of comedy and saw how awful it was.
Idk, I thought it looked appalling from the jump but it was really popular. I was at least a little interested in Alyssa Edwards’ reality show but when I watched the first one, I saw it was just a Dance Moms knockoff.
Probably the same reason some people watch psychological horror movies or disaster movies. Or how some people only watch motorsports for the crashes. It's morbid.
Honestly hilaious that Jojo, a lesbian, did a snapchat clickbait reel about being pregnant like, did no one one her marketing team think this was a bonkers idea lol
I think thats part of the clickbait... It's attention grabbing bc you KNOW she's gay and so you watch to know how she got pregnant, who the father is, why she's having a baby, etc
Her contract with Nickelodeon was honestly the best thing that ever happened to her. Sure it was highly restrictive in terms of what she could and could not post on social media, but at least she was staying out of trouble
nah, aside from the constant bleaching, she also almost always has it tied very tightly, which not only pulls her hairline back but also makes the strands break or just straight up fall off the scalp. she also mentioned once how she used to pick on her hair on one side out of stress so this one spot doesn't grow hair anymore so yeah. not to mention tight ponytails can also affect blood circulation on the brain which is... telling.
I didn't know much about JoJo before this video but this just made me feel really sorry for her - it really seems like she was set up to fail by all the adults around her and never really had a chance
I don't even think anyone was talking at that moment. I think she waited until everyone stopped talking and then asked the question only to have Abby the big bully yell at her. She just asked a freaking question. I don't think she interrupted anyone at least I couldn't tell if she did or not. Just to ask a question she gets screamed at like that? No wonder she is the way she is right now.
The reason these people grew up to be monsters was because we as a society enabled them. We knew what was happening to child performers but we watched the shows, we bought tickets to the live performances, we gave the merchandise to our own children. Until society rejects the child star archetype from entertainment and obly consume media where child involvement is limited and highly regulated, this cycle is just going to continue decades from now
Interesting. The fandom cried bullying when people, like say the cast of Dance Moms, pointed out JoJo's self-centredness and obnoxiousness. But the fact is, she needed that correction and feedback because she wasn't getting it anywhere else, and the result is a young adult who thinks she is a superstar and is above feedback.
@@MsJubjubbird all of her behavior problems are normal for a little girl and a good parent can teach them not to be that way. It only got out of control in her case because she didn't have an actual family looking after and supporting her, and that includes punishing bad behavior
@@arthurshort6619 it wasn't being corrected though. Her mother freaked out when she was disciplined. The other kids weren't behaving like that at her age because they had been taught not to. And now we have a young woman who thinks she's bigger than she is.
@@MsJubjubbird as horrible as her situation as is to watch, I think this serves as a good precautionary tale for parents. Encouraging your kids talents is great, but what this girl needed was a real mother, not a manager
@@arthurshort6619 true and I think be realistic about talent as well. One of JoJo's issues is she is not that talented as a singer and as a dancer she's decent but not outstanding. It's the marketing and precociousness. That was fine when she was cute and selling to little children. but adults want to see some substance. However, this poor woman has been filled with her own management's hype.
2021: "I don't know who Jojo Siwa is, but I'm glad she came out. I hardly had any LGBTQ+ role models growing, so it's great that queer kids have so many people to look up to nowadays." 2024: "Y'all straights can have Jojo. We don't want her!"
@Scorpio.Incubus Oh don't take everything you read on the internet so damn literally! I'm not literally banning her from the LGBTQ community. I don't even have the power to such a thing. I'm merely voicing my disapproval of her actions in a very exaggerated way.
The "dressing up as a toy" aspect is quite common among kiddie stars. Check out every adult who made a career out of entertaining small children, they will almost always wear anything between pastel and neon when on the job and/or marketing their brand. Jojo was just a decade or three younger than her kiddie star peers. I once appreciated Jojo's existence because I think she was giving kidhood, especially girlhood, more room as an adolescent. She dressed up like a kiddie star when girls her age were immensely pressured to be sexy and revealing. But that fake pregnancy stint and the overall shitty grifting was 😬 That being said, Jojo is still an adolescent and probably doesn't recognize Colleen's grooming tactics. Wouldn't surprise me if she was also groomed, considering her upbringing left her with absolute zero defenses from it outside of her overly-controlling mom vetting them for her. It's really sad to see her trapped in the cycle.
The fact that Abby had all those girls basically roast JoJo is kind of sickening, and not in a good way. That was a hard clip to watch. Great video! I really am enjoying this little series you’re working on!
It was so hard for me to watch too! Like most of it wasn’t constructive criticism either like “Oh, you need to work on timing for dances better” it was “you’re crazy and too loud”. Even if it had been just simple feedback then it’s hard for young kids to take criticism when the whole room is zeroing in on them. It was so hard to watch 😭
that's not bad. Loads of teachers do peer feedback so students can see how their peers perceive the and improve. Really important for someone who doesn't get a lot of feedback too. But it is key to also mix in good points as well which is what they did. It was probably a growth moment for her. If she'd had more feedback she might not have turned out this way
@@k__hn well I wouldn’t know I was about 12-13 when she was popular so I wasn’t the target age. But my now 13 yo sister(who was 8at the time) loved her

Wow the way you started the video the last thing you said was insane “it’s just her perpetually taking the hits and humiliation for the jacket” very well said
I wanted to like JoJo because I saw her as an underdog, since everyone was hating on her for seeming childish and too big to be doing all that she was doing. But then she opened her mouth and starting causing drama (specifically invalidating the Dance Moms girls/moms experiences). And she's just kind of a bit much for me, then I stopped feeling sorry for her...
I actually thought she was really cute on Abby’s ultimate dance competition, and while she was very loud/obnoxious, she was also a kid. I feel like what leaves a bad taste in my mouth is how she repeatedly defends people that have done horrible things and just acts like everyone else is the problem. Or she’ll go after the other girls/moms from dance moms because they don’t like Abby. Like you can be grateful for your experiences without defending someone who abuses children and has caused severe trauma
Unfortunately I don't think Jojo herself has begun to truly unpack the abuse that she went through to recognize the pattern in herself. It's no excuse and she's old enough to begin that process for herself but from what I know of her, she knows absolutely nothing else.
i’ve never liked Jojo. her whole nickelodeon persona just seemed to push children to be incredibly materialistic with all the merch she put out and outrageously unrealistic room tours. even as a child I could see through it and found her to be very spoilt and overstimulating in her videos. I don’t blame her entirely because she’s been essentially used as a pawn by adults to make money for most of her life, but I think now we’re seeing in real time what happens to child stars who never truly breaks free from the entertainment industry. They become out of touch and too self involved.
i remember watching jojo on her channel, she was so weirdly obessed with herself everywhere in target and walmart whenever nickelodeon made jojo stuff and put it out in stores.
There needs to be laws around protecting children from being stars. It's traumatic. Bluey doesn't share the names of their child actors in order to protect their privacy and I feel like that would go a long way in preventing kids from being forced into the spotlight
I made it to the end of the video and realized u didn’t talk about JoJo’w whole tiktok and relationships drama that initially put off quite a few ppl. However I do realize how MESSY that whole situation was so I can’t blame u for not covering it, save ur sanity lol
This is out of context for the hairline thing in the middle of the vid: She’s had her hair constantly pulled into a super tight ponytail since she was young of course her hairline is receding/bald spots. She basically had the tight female military pulled back and slicked hair and the only recently changed that policy because it was causing receding hairlines etc. hair needs to breath.
All I’ve gotta say is…poor Jojo. She had a very bad childhood from the start, and was definitely manipulated by the grownups when growing up. Now, she thinks it’s the right thing to do or doesn’t realize that what she is doing to the kids is wrong. Also, a suspicion is that the woman she is working with she might be scared of her based on how she treated her before, making her follow everything asked of her out of fear.
The only time people were ever “in love” with James Corden is his carpool karaoke series. He’s loathed by both British and Americans alike. To be honest, I don’t think the internet was ever in love with James Charles or Chrissy Teigen. EDIT: people who have worked with James Corden on TV shows in the UK have also talked about how he was rude backstage when the cameras weren’t rolling.
I immediately lost respect for her when she said she supported Colleen ballinger, a groomer!!! Now Jojo herself is a blind victim of grooming as well. She’s so blind to it that she doesn’t realize she has been groomed. But that doesn’t justify her actions or words at all.
It’s really fucking sad actually. Never heard of this girl, but I assume she’s not an angel or a demon. Those are talented children receiving a bad deal: an era of fame for a lifetime of trauma and suffering. I hope she’ll grow up to be kind and successful (and sorry for being corny, but to me, to be kind IS to be successful).
When I was younger, I really liked her, and I loved her strong, positive personality. She originally taught me to be yourself and be kind to others.I was about 11 then, and the other kids at my school would make fun of me for it. Now I understand that she's a disturbed individual. But I can't deny her good influence on me growing up.
idk how people see this and not see jojo is a victim, she's been put on this environment, it's only normal she takes after some toxic behaviours that she happened to witness or even experience herself
Because she is now an adult, one with a lot of money. It is her responsibility to take care of these toxic behaviors. GO TO THERAPY. She can definitely afford it. I was severely abused as a child too, and I make far less than she does, and I went to years of therapy for this exact reason. No, you can’t control where you’ve come from and what you had to experience as a child. But you can control who you are and how you act as an adult. I get so sick of hearing this victim narrative from people when their negative behaviors are called out for being hurtful and wrong. It actually cheapens the meaning of the word victim because you are making it into an excuse to justify your abhorrent behavior and not do better. It’s disgusting, imo.
As discussed, she's a victim/survivor of deeply predatory behaviours, still tied to tue industry, and only 20. Very likely she'll grow further and learn.
She needs therapy… I never liked JoJo but I never went out of my way to hate. I genuinely feel bad for all the things she had to go through, she was obviously groomed and exploited. She was always taken advantage of and never realized it and she’s just continuing that toxic cycle. What a pity. However defending colleen and treating those girls like garbage really cannot be justified.
You forgot to mention that what initially ended the support towards her in 2021 is that she dated a trump voter EDIT: i don't subscribe to the hyperindividualistic american liberal doctrine so please stop talking about some ,,trump voters deserve respect too!!!". Nothing exists in a vaccuum. Their choices directly affect many minorities and i have no respect for them. Sending love

Jojo's 'I'm not a kid anymore era' (karma era) is honestly very creepy considering Jojo literally made her OWN brand centered around children. She created it, and now shes dropping it. I remember wearing the bows and watching her music videos, and now I find it very creepy. I understand that she is growing up, but she became famous over the rainbows, and sparkles.
I bought one of Jojo Siwa's shirts from a famous hollywood clothing shop (That's a Wrap iirc?) because it matched a cosplay I did for a villain character. After I did the cosplay, all the allegations came out about her being toxic and abusive so the ongoing joke amongst friends is that I cursed Jojo Siwa and started her online villain arc.
I'm constantly reminded of the Matty B audition when I hear Jojo's music. I would never have thought that she would enter and thrive in the music industry

They now continue this trend with the XO kids and Jojo does whatever her Mumager wants to keeps the career going and Jojo will defend both women with her life.

My lord.
that only scratches the surface of the insanity, and they both (mother and daughter) constantly speak about all the absolutely insane shit (dragging her out of bed as a toddler to perform her solos, auditions constantly from literally 2 y/o, performing at concerts until she bled because of her shoes and not stopping, making her sing despite jojo hating it...) as if they were funny anecdotes and not really horrifying.

let me tell you something abby made 2 tv series the abby lee dance company and dance moms shows.
@@teafernn Dang. That's also how old I was when I was made it which is a fun coincidence. I'm about to be 34. Not that old lol
It's also worth mentioning Jojo still very much defends Abby Lee Miller's treatment of the girls, even on seasons she wasn't even on, going as far as having online beef with some of the girls that would speak out against Abby.
and in the dance moms reboot trailer jojo called maddie, mckenzie, and nia ungrateful for not returning
Many abuse victims defend their abuser. (Not saying that her behavior was ok. Just pointing out that it's not surprising JoJo has done that.)
Ammm what about Chole Lukasiak?? She is lesbian and she is better rolemodel then Jojo ever will be.
Yeah, totally
Heavy on the Colleen part. I can't help but feel empathy for her for that.
Doesn't Colleen have kids :0 HOW DOES SHE TREAT THEM-

honestly while of course what JoJo said/did is bad (if it's true) the one who i really feel sick from in this whole scenario is Jessalynn.
Spot on. How is she supposed to 'adult', if she never had a childhood.
The problem is that currently JoJo still thinks that she chose this lifestyle, until she has the realisation that Jess chose this for her I don't think it will change. If it wasn't for the fact that Jess and JoJo have their girl group XOMG Pop I would be all for JoJo taking her life in whatever direction she wanted.
and to top it all of she never really had a moment to truly be a child, with all that encompasses, nor a truly loving or caring mom.
jojo literally never stood a chance at life
@@kd_16420 She's still young, she has plenty of time to have a chance at life.
Really good points!
What's sad is I predicted this years ago. Thought she'd sexualize herself to the extreme though. Not the weird pregnancy stuff.
They split with her after she finished the rescheduled tour, didn't help her cast that she publicly called out Nick for not wanting songs from The J Team in the tour (don't know who spilt with who, just telling that after the split she wasn't invited to the Kid's Choice Awards)
someone said jojo was like ellen for gen z and honestly i've not been able to get that out of my head
Great now i cant stop thinking of that LOL

The craziest part about Jojo clickbaiting her fans with the pregnancy content + the baby clothing hauls- is the fact that she has come out recently to say that she's "ready for kids" and wants to start a family, on top of saying in an interview that she already has a sperm donor for some reason (don't know if thats a joke or not). If that's not an insane form of foreshadowing then idk what is- also if her intent to have kids is actually real- that further implies/reinforces the dangerous cycle Jesslyn and Jojo are perpetuating due to Dance Moms
Insanely concerning! She's clearly still in need of a lot of help (and therapy) if she acts and thinks like this.
Do not spawn, kid, please

Jojo comes across as terminally immature with no self awareness whatsoever. I saw her saying she already has names picked out for her future children, and has the names tattooed on her arm already. People are objects to her, just as she was as a child. Not impressed by her.
On the plus side that arm of childish looking tattoos (including the names) are fake, she has started getting real ink though.
@Scorpio.Incubus It's humour, BTW, thank you for the shampoo instructions, they're a quite nice detail, I guess someone needs them.
But that fake pregnancy stint and the overall shitty grifting was 😬
That being said, Jojo is still an adolescent and probably doesn't recognize Colleen's grooming tactics.
Reminds me of my band teacher.
that's not bad. Loads of teachers do peer feedback so students can see how their peers perceive the and improve. Really important for someone who doesn't get a lot of feedback too. But it is key to also mix in good points as well which is what they did. It was probably a growth moment for her. If she'd had more feedback she might not have turned out this way
“The internet fell out of love with Jojo”
I don’t remember them ever loving her to begin with
Hello Mr The Internet, nice to meet you
Yeah I always assumes thst she eas forced upon the public.
nono, internet was definitely in love with her. i, myself, as a child eas absolutely enamoured by her.
@@k__hn well I wouldn’t know I was about 12-13 when she was popular so I wasn’t the target age. But my now 13 yo sister(who was 8at the time) loved her
@@oceanexblve884 yeah!! It was genius tbh.. pink and rainbows and also a cute dog. Like it was basically a kid whisperer of sorts. Of course, it didn’t attract ALL young girls, but i was a young girl, and i was attracted, and im p sure many were. Its a shame whats happened to her
Wow the way you started the video the last thing you said was insane “it’s just her perpetually taking the hits and humiliation for the jacket” very well said
The worst part isn't everything her mom did to exploit her and make her famous. The worst part is that it worked.
I think she needs some serious therapy to unpack her abuse and trauma
i’ve never liked Jojo. her whole nickelodeon persona just seemed to push children to be incredibly materialistic with all the merch she put out and outrageously unrealistic room tours. even as a child I could see through it and found her to be very spoilt and overstimulating in her videos. I don’t blame her entirely because she’s been essentially used as a pawn by adults to make money for most of her life, but I think now we’re seeing in real time what happens to child stars who never truly breaks free from the entertainment industry. They become out of touch and too self involved.
i remember watching jojo on her channel, she was so weirdly obessed with herself everywhere in target and walmart whenever nickelodeon made jojo stuff and put it out in stores.
than jojo grew out of the bows and loudness.
@@viviennemorgan7217Maybe the bows but it doesn't seem like she has outgrown being loud at all 😮
@@dallynutkat3252 yeah that might be true, but she has outgrown her bows and being loud, now she's going to be in her grown up era
She drives a whole vehicle that's been vinyl wrapped with photos of her obnoxious face covering the entire thing...she's still self obsessed
IMO, that was probably just for promoting products. i honestly doubt that she felt comfortable enough during that era.
i don't think jojo really did learn anything as she got older.. 💀
Or the things she did learn were toxic behaviours from a toxic environment 😬
There needs to be laws around protecting children from being stars. It's traumatic. Bluey doesn't share the names of their child actors in order to protect their privacy and I feel like that would go a long way in preventing kids from being forced into the spotlight
I made it to the end of the video and realized u didn’t talk about JoJo’w whole tiktok and relationships drama that initially put off quite a few ppl. However I do realize how MESSY that whole situation was so I can’t blame u for not covering it, save ur sanity lol
can you make a vid about the Sia and Maddie ziegler relationship
I would LOVE this! Lot to unpack there
Omg yes, this would be perfect for Kayla
This needs to be explored.
Can't wait for her book in 20 years about the realization of how toxic/abusive her mom was
LMFAOO
Imagine if you actually jinx this
the one thing I wish to cast Apollo's gift of prophecy on
This is out of context for the hairline thing in the middle of the vid: She’s had her hair constantly pulled into a super tight ponytail since she was young of course her hairline is receding/bald spots.
Chrissy Teigen, David Dobrik, Jlo, or James Corden would be some good upcoming episodes !
Was the Internet ever * in* love with James Corden though?
@@HeySlothKid his carpool karaoke series used to be enjoyed by everyone
@@fatimahanwaar306 fair, but I think he was already pretty disliked in the UK by that point.
@@HeySlothKid for a good reason
Absolutely spot-on prediction on her new era
When I was younger, I really liked her, and I loved her strong, positive personality. She originally taught me to be yourself and be kind to others.I was about 11 then, and the other kids at my school would make fun of me for it. Now I understand that she's a disturbed individual. But I can't deny her good influence on me growing up.
Stand User: Jojo Siwa
Stand Name: Dance Mom
idk how people see this and not see jojo is a victim, she's been put on this environment, it's only normal she takes after some toxic behaviours that she happened to witness or even experience herself
"Many people still view her as like an overgrown toddler."
Yep. Why her being "grownup will fail. She's just a toddler that found her mom's makeup.
This is NOT why I thought the internet fell out of love with Jojo Siwa. Great video!
I have hope she'll get better. I want her to be better. Please let her learn and grow 🤞
Damn girl, the way you tied that up at the end with the jacket metaphor, I got to applaud 👏👏👏👏👏👏
I LOVE THAT 1 MAN 1 JAR VIDEO ITS LITERALLY SO FUNNY
but srsly looking up Colleen's "apology" was how i found it
could you do a "how the internet fell out of love with jennifer lopez" or "how the internet fell out of love with james charles" video?
The internet has been out of love with JLO and James Charles for a long time.
But Internet still loves JLO 🤦🏽♀️
the former happened with Jenny from the Block, well before TikTok was a thing
As discussed, she's a victim/survivor of deeply predatory behaviours, still tied to tue industry, and only 20. Very likely she'll grow further and learn.
She needs therapy… I never liked JoJo but I never went out of my way to hate. I genuinely feel bad for all the things she had to go through, she was obviously groomed and exploited. She was always taken advantage of and never realized it and she’s just continuing that toxic cycle. What a pity. However defending colleen and treating those girls like garbage really cannot be justified.
You forgot to mention that what initially ended the support towards her in 2021 is that she dated a trump voter
EDIT: i don't subscribe to the hyperindividualistic american liberal doctrine so please stop talking about some ,,trump voters deserve respect too!!!". Nothing exists in a vaccuum. Their choices directly affect many minorities and i have no respect for them. Sending love
I really like Kayla, but I feel like every single video from her How the Internet Fell Out of Love series winds up missing a key piece of information like this
Tbh Kayla is very young herself and is heavily influenced by her parent’s politics. Especially back then. To hold a grudge against someone for their partner’s politics when they have only voted in one election is silly.
@@danderson8431you mean JoJo? And i agree it's silly
@@danderson8431 i think that it was more the fact that she publicly supported him, i don't remember the details
And a few of Jojo’s exes came out and talked about how awful their relationships with Jojo were. Pretty sure Jojo cheated on someone
Omg you need a video for “how the internet fell out of love w Snapchat” because like we DID
Snapchat is the worst because now you’ve just got weirdoes trying to fuck you or nothin’ in between.
‘Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure’ nice one Kayla 😂
15:42 “The demon of Abby Lee Miller lives inside all of us at the end of the day” 💀 so poignant
It'll be controversial but you should do a video like this on Nicki Minaj
She said on Twitter she doesn't want #them attacking her like Melanie fans did
Girl would be risking getting doxxed or harassed for years. Lol Nicki Stans are unhinged. All Stan’s are but hers are up there with bts and Taylor swift Stan’s, imo.
I think it’s best to not do that because the Barbz are going to be mad.
@izzyc127 I understand what yall are saying but creators need to push back because you can't let celebrities get away with messed up things just because your scared of their stans! This is how Shane Dawson got away with all his BS for all those years because they feared the backlash from the deranged stans
@@tylerhartman3034 you don’t understand because the Barbz are not like any fandom and I don’t think Kayla wants to get doxxed and get sent death threats.
As a part of the theatre community, I think I speak for everyone when I say we don't claim Dance Moms.
Not the one man one jar poping up randomly💀
Yess this is so perfect for my youtube dinner thank u kayla 🥺
This was so well done. I too, think about that Dance Moms clip all the time as well.
I appreciate the thoroughness of your research, something greatly lacking in much content of this type.
Jojo's mum, abby lee miller and all the other dance moms are the real villains here. poor jojo didn't stand a chance.
I didn't know of Jojo until I think Lemon ("Canada's Drag Race Season 1)did her on "Snatch Game.
Dying her hair at age 2? Yikes..
I really like how you focus on the facts and you don't spend half the video inserting your own thoughts
Jojo is not the only dancer who made it, Maddie Ziegler is another one.
I would never have thought that she would enter and thrive in the music industry
if only this video was made 2 weeks later, there would be an extra 10 minutes onto this kbjdfdf
Jojo: hey gia do know the solos in order
Abby: JOJO DID YOU LEARN NOTHING
me: what did she do,
Abby: she spoke
That's what I was thinking, like she just spoke, what did she do?
I hope that you can still Jonathan Van ness for the next how the internet fell out of episode! I also don’t like how Jojo is dissing Nia, McKenzie, and Maddie for not showing up to the upcoming dance moms reunion when she is not even an OG!
colleen segment is crazy
Maybe it was too recent to be in this video but all I've been seeing re: Jojo of late was her being called out on social media by two people she was allegedly persuing romantically calling her a liar, saying she treated them badly, and accusing her of sending her fans after them to harass them.
