Megans hair looks really cute and Ben is always so funny! It was really cool seeing your dad and putting a face to all the travels I've heard about that you had with him. Tell him it made my day to finally see him! ❤ The hotel was nice it looked clean and spacious.
We stayed at this hotel before our Alaska cruise too, on May 18, 2023. We thought it was very clean, the staff was accommodating and the breakfast was good. The shuttle from the airport was prompt and as you mentioned you could take a shuttle to the pier from here. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.
That room you, Megan and Ben had was really roomy. If they just added a couch, as you mentioned, it would have been perfect. Ben was so funny, with the closet surprise.
Be sure to watch my video on how to check your hotel room for bed bugs! They can happen anywhere and most good hotels have a contract in place to deal with the problem immediately.
I wonder if there is a creepy person in every room’s closet or just the one you were in? LOL. That was funny. And your dad makes an appearance too! This Hampton Inn and Suites looks nice enough. It is interesting that it costs less to stay near the airport than it does near the cruise port. That makes sense, I suppose - and is helpful information. Thanks for sharing this room tour with us!
Hi. Really pleased I saw this review and that this hotel seems to be ok. I am cruising to Alaska out of Seattle in June and as a Brit I was astounded at the cost of hotels downtown. I was also really strugging to find any hotels with even half decent reviews and many in the airport area I was worried about numerous comments about safety. I had booked and then cancelled the Fairfield by Marriott, Holiday Inn Express and Country Inn all along the same highway because there were too many negatives and as we are staying two nights before the cruise I was beginning to wonder if we would be safe going out to the monorail and even if the hotels I had chosen were safe enough to leave our luggage during the day, silly I guess, but this hotel looks slightly newer and a bit more secure, non opening windows and no comments about it being in a "sketchy" area or anyone feeling unsafe, would you agree? Hopefully made the right choice now, seems it may have been refurbished too since your stay. As we are there in June hoping that the air conditioning works ok, American hotel pictures all seem to show really old fashined a/c units under the window rather than built in to the walls as you find here in Europe. Did you remember if the a/c worked ok and kept the rooms cool as my partner gets very claustrophobic if too hot. Thanks again for posting 🙂
I understand your concerns, as I lived in London for a time, and we were in Europe just a few weeks ago, and I always feel much safer walking around in Europe than I do in the U.S. We felt totally safe walking around in this area, and yes, the a/c worked great, which we definitely needed as it was very hot the day before our cruise. There were lots of other cruisers staying at the hotel and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to you. I hope you enjoy your Alaska cruise!
Nice to see your dad thanks for sharing !

Well actually, a room isn't perfect unless we each have our own bed!
Thinking about booking here only hesitation is I saw a few bed bug reviews 😳
