I love the idea of Glass Joe being married to the world champ woman's boxer. It'd at least explain how a man that's lost 99 times in a row still gets to be in the league... they're afraid he'd cry to his wife if they ever actually fired him.
I’ve always thought that a “chess boxer” would be funny. The mid-match cutscene’s would be them playing chess, with the special KO being them getting checkmated
And of course he’s going to need a move called the queens gambit unidirectional punch that has a slight indicator to determine the movement interrupting it with a star KO gives you the insta win but it has very tight timing
The story could be that Glass Joe feels like truly giving up but then while at the gym meets Iron Jane, the two start dating and Jane takes up boxing and trains to become an absolute master at it. Then the two marry and Glass Joe decides to become the house husband while Jane is the bloody champ and also makes Joe's legacy pretty big (he himself was bad but he brought Jane into boxing which led to her becoming so great at it). Essentially a total role reversal couple. And they love each other. And that's good.
Katy's biggest threat being Glass Joe's wife is wonderful. Maybe to keep the French puns, how about naming her Jeanne D'Arcane, because she has mystic tactics and physical brute strength while still referencing Joan of Arc.
Imagine if the game did have you play as different boxers, and there was a super secret true final boss, and it was Little Mac coming out of retirement one last time to face the new champion. It could give off similar vibes to the Red fight on Mt. Silver in Gen 2.
I like to think that, while going into the ring, Doc is with your character, congratulating them, then, the crowd gasps, and the light shines on one person. The crowd goes wild as Mac walks into the ring, saying hi to Doc and looking over to the new character(s) and challenging them.
I love this genre in games where you fight a previous protagonist or a future villain like in Kingdom Hearts 1, you can fight Unkown in Hollow Bastion who later in Kingdom Hearts 2 is actually Xemnas, then later in KH2 you can fight Lingering Will who in Birth By Sleep is actually Terra whom you can play as in that game. I wish more games did that.
@@ribry8512 I still love how for that fight they play Nocturne's standard battle theme. It may be one hell of a trial for you, but for Demi-Fiend, you're just XP
Ive had an idea for this new boxer for a while now. I like to imagine him as a swedish boxer that is sorta like glass joe but if he was a little more compitent. And his WHOLE shtick is that he is OVERLY apologetic. Like, he'll knock you down and just be all like- "Did it hurt?" "Do you need help?" "I didn't punch you to hard did I?" Like he's genuinely concerned about you. But after a while it will start to feel more like he's taunting you. Even though he Truly means you no ill will. You know despite the fact he's fighting you. And if your asking, "If he's so apologetic than why is he boxing?" And my answer is...I.. don't.. exactly know.. But I like to imagine it's because he wanted to be taken more seriously and gain more respect. But that parts still a work in progress
After Wii redeemed Aran Ryan from a completely boring boxer in Super Punch Out, a sequel would absolutely need to redeem Pizza Pasta, the guy who is infamous for being arguably THE most shallow boxer in the series. Call him Pete Zapasta and make his character a member of the mob. It works for his Italian nature and the mob is infamous for being involved in boxing. Say that in his fight he starts out really easy because the narrative is he's throwing the fight, but after you knock him down a couple times he gets angry and starts to box for real. Then in Title Defense, he's out for revenge so the phase where he's in a fixed fight is skipped in addition to making him have a ton of new tricks. If Aran Ryan isn't in the game then he can take over as a dirty boxer - but c'mon, Aran Ryan HAS to be in the game. Zapasta would certainly be likely to have some illegal moves in his arsenal, but absolutely not to the extent as Aran Ryan.
OR aran ryan could have come clean or something, like he almost got killed by someone who hated him for cheating, and now Aran Ryan trys not to cheat anymore, but he still has the reflex to cheat, like a way you could get a star punch against him is he tries to do an illegal elbow punch, but stops himself mid-punch, and you can get a free star punch. BUT, if you knock him down with a three star punch while he does that, he gets REALLY MAD, and starts cheating again. like he went through all that effort to stop and just got disrespected.
In Title Defense, some of Zapasta’s mob cronies jump the ring and try to ambush you with swings of their own, but they can be knocked out with a single punch. Also it would be funny if the only reason they’re even allowed there is because they also act as Zapasta’s cornermen, who care to his injuries during the post-Round banter
I was thinking during the final boss (Likely Sandman), the first two rounds play out like normal when suddenly, in round 3, Aran Ryan just jumps on top of Sandman and the two fight you in a style akin to two kids in a trench coat, with Sandman staying relatively normal, and Ryan swinging his trademark glove flail.
Even better, the 1 & 2 star punches are just different tiers of the Raptor Boost (his side-B uppercut for those who don't know the Smash move names super well) but the 3 star is the Falcon Punch to just REALLY drive the impact home.
I love the idea people have thrown around and doing a prequel showing how Doc Louis became Heavyweight Champ (with maybe a 60s or 70s boxing look) and how he invented, then perfected the star punch.
Ooh ooh! What if the "choose who you want to play as" part is like filling out a wvba application form or something. Like the first one is gender, then fighting style, and maybe, just maybe some cosmetic decisions, then the boxer you chose fills out their name automatically and the camera switches to their face. That'd bring some style points immediately.
Reedy little Glass Joe being married to an absolutely beefy brick wall of a woman is the cutest goddamn idea ever and I'm sold entirely just based on that. Carry your husband gently like a baguette
What if Katy was Aran Ryan’s little sister?? She’s based off of Katie, an Irish boxer, and he has the line “Me sister hits harder than you boy!” These ideas are amazing!!
She enters the WVBA to try and bring some honour back to her family's name, Thanks to Aran Ryan Jr being such a embarrassment. Wait? Aran Ryan Jr? Well, How about this, It's revealed that Aran Ryan the 1st is the Super Punch Out Aran, While the cheating scumbag in Punch Out Wii was his son. It'd explain why Aran went from a "By the Books" boxer in Super, To a cheating psycho in Wii. It's not the same guy, It was his son that fell in with a bad crowd.
If they include a female boxer and the Nintendo Circuit, can you imagine her version of it including a fight with Min-Min while Mac (or Mac's successor) fights Spring Man?
@@TheDanielCityHeroes Little Mac would probably fight Ninjara, not Spring Man. The only reason Min Min gets top billing over Ribbon Girl is popularity, Ninjara would be in the same boat.
@@soulcyclone360 So does Captain Falcon. Not only does he wear his usual helmet and uniform, but his regular gloves are beneath his boxing gloves, meaning that they likely weren't wrapped properly, or even at all. And Ganon is just straight up using magic and trying to stab the player.
@@thegrandxbunny2073 that sword was also not checked by the ref and is probably not up to regulations. And since he's just floating everywhere, he probably botched his weight check and could probably be weighing tons and nobody would know.
A cool idea would be a prequel to the Wii punch out where we follow Doc Louis when he was competing, what would be cool also is if we could see all the older boxers and see them when they were young
Hell, you could even squish that down as the tutorial mode, showing you play Doc Louis in the final match against, say, Super Macho Man that made him hang up his gloves.
Assuming Hitmonchan could actually be in, it would be really cool to have him utilize elemental punches. You would have to be extra careful of what punch is gonna blocked or dodged. Fire could cause burn damage for a few seconds, ice would slow your movement, and paralysis could instantly deplete your stamina.
Designing For had a contest after the "Designing For Intimidation" 4-parter, and the design for Tyrogue by Tarvould's Quest won the Guest Fighter half because Hitmonchan carried the design for the hosts. Please give that a watch, Designing For is great, also the streams are hilarious!
Man I still remember watching Mac's Smash reveal & my reaction basically boiled down to "FINALLY". Like you said at the beginning, F-Zro may be the game with the biggest "please bring it back" crowd (which I am absolutely a part of because god I love my high octane racers), but Punch-Out in my mind is right behind it.
I've thought of ideas for a new Punch-Out before, and most of the ideas I had are present here (new protagonists, female boxers, a VS Mode where you can actually select all the different opponents in the game), but there are two that aren't here that I really like. One is to have Little Mac act as the final boss. He became the champion in the last game, so he's still the champion in this game. The other is for Matt from Wii Sports to be a guest opponent. It's kind of a joke idea, given Matt's meme status, but he is the highest ranked boxer in Wii Sports, which is one of Nintendo's most popular games, so he'd be kind of perfect for the "Nintendo League" idea you presented here (which I love, by the way).
I feel like if you got Captain Falcon in the game, the falcon punch would be super telegraphed and easy to dodge but if you get hit by it you just instantly lose. I imagine it'd be accompanied by an animation of Mac being sent flying into one of the arena walls
Yeah, it's super telegraphed in Smash too, so you wouldn't have to change much. Its more to catch out players that aren't paying good enough attention. If anything they should speed it up this is the hardest circuit after all.
The big trick would be that if you can intercept it, you could score an instant knockdown. But intercepting it would be incredibly difficult to pull off, so it'd be like the bull charge cranked to eleven: Play it safe, or risk it all for big glory.
the "HD Rumble" in the Joy-Cons could be used as another way to "feel" the attacks coming and respond. A big hit coming from the left? you'll get those vibrations happening as just another sign "hey, you gotta dodge this NOW" In theory it could turn out that you can play the game without even seeing or hearing the screen lol.
I was listening to the idea for multiplayer and had an idea, Imagine this: You beat the base story mode, credits roll, and at the end you get a bunch of unlocks, But one of them stands out:??? You select it, And it brings you to a menu with a bunch of squares with the shadowed out pictures of the various fighters, and two tabs, One with a padlock, the other having the gender symbol of the character you beat story with. (Male for Mac, Female for Katie.) Only the first fighter isn't shadowed out. (We'll consider you beat story with Mac.) Glass Joe. You pick the option and a cutscene plays. Joe's sitting on a bench in an empty gym, Absolutely miserable. He's walking towards the exit, About to throw his boxing gloves in the bin. Then he looks over to a poster of Little Mac, Remembering how he was Mac's first fight... If Mac could become champion... He fastens his gloves, Walks up to a punching bag and gives it an almighty punch!... That barely moves it... In spite of that, Joe. Is. Determined. The opponent select screen let's you pick the second boxer of the game. You start it up and you see the VS screen. And on the left? *Is Glass Joe.* Yep, This new mode allows you to play a new round of the story with the opponent boxers. You cannot tell me that wouldn't be hype as hell.
I’ve always thought the idea of an “Intergalactic Punch-Out” would be amazing. Imagine fighting as a normal guy in an interstellar boxing league against aliens with unconventional bodies, like an alien with multiple arms or an amorphous blob that can dodge your punches by shapeshifting.
Actually thought of something like Earth: The “Glass Joe” Mercury: Slime Alien Venus: Insect Alien Mars: Robot Alien Jupiter: Avian Alien Saturn: Humanoid Alien with rings Uranus: Bovine Alien Neptune: Fish Alien Pluto: Feline Alien Final Boss: The “Mr Sandman”
I feel like for a "Nintendo Circuit" one of the opponents should be a character from ARMS, how would that work? Idk, but I feel like it would be fitting for Nintendo's other boxing-centric game to get a rep in this new Punch-Out.
My version (Male) Playable Characters -Swarmer (Peter Punch) -Slugger (Challenger) -Outboxer (Little Zac if you don't know this character it's player 2 in head to head mode. You know, with the yellow tank top and the brown hair.) Training Mode Doc Louis Punching Bag Double End Bag Cardboard Cutout Mike Tyson Minor Circuit Gabby Jay Glass Joe Von Kaiser Bear Hugger Disco Kid Texas Mac Champ: Piston Hurricane Major Circuit Piston Hondo Kid Quick King Hippo Bob Charlie Dragon Chan Tribal Trouble Great Tiger Kabuki Frenchie France Masked Muscle Champ: Bald Bull World Circuit Aran Ryan Pizza Pasta Mask X Ravioli Mafiosi Heike Kagero Soda Popinski Antipodean Andy Mad Clown Alice and Ape III Peter Perfect Mr. Sandman Champ: Super Macho Man Special Circuit Narcis Prince Hoy Quarlow Rick Bruiser Frank Jr. Nick Bruiser Mr. Dream Mike Tyson Nintendo Circuit Bowser Jr. King K Rool Bowser Spring Man Hitmonchan (Maybe) Champ: Captain Falcon Secret Bosses (Press Up, Down, Left, Left, X,X,Y) Giga Mac (Press Left, Left, Right, Y, B Lr, Lr) Little Mac
To go with the 3 playable characters, I think each one could have a bit of their own story, including their own coach. Swarmer could have Little Mac, all grown up and wise beyond his years, Outboxer could have Doc Louis who decided to take on a new apprentice after Mac retired, and the Slugger could have someone else familiar; Sandman. After Mac repeatedly humiliated him in the ring and as the years went on, he retired, but never stored harboring a grudge for Mac & Doc. Would also love it if the world champ became one of the other characters after winning Title Defense or Contender mode.
My idea for the Nintendo Circuit and their unlocks: Samus - futuristic and space related Boxing Ring D.K - Replaces the music with the D.K rap (which can be toggled on and off) Bowser - Get a giant shell on your back that has a small chance to make the enemy take a bit of damage Captain Falcon - Replaces star punch effects with the Falcon Punch King Dedede - Gives you a pink outfit with red boots (this is an obvious reference) Hitmonchan - Gives you an outfit based on Red Chrom - Replaces music with Id (Purpose) and gives you an outfit based on Robin (also can be toggled)
Here's an idea I had while watching your video: Make the game set in a future where you control an up-and-coming boxer (who you can customize the name, appearance and fighting style) and whose trainer is an older version of Little Mac called Old Mac. Another Idea: Make some of the boxers related to the ones from the past (like Glass Joe has a son who is incredibly huge and strong, that's seriously funny).
Von Kaiser Apprentice who while does like act soldier. Have gimmick of acting like opera singer. Disco Kid the second who is nephew of Disco kid the first. That have same passion for disco as his uncle. Or name him after different music stuff thats gone. Prince Hippo. Hippo son, who instead being tanker is outboxer. Honda sons who acts like delinquent. Bear trap. The apprentice who’s is now for attacking so fast he traps you. Great Tiger comebacks. His mastery of mystic arts lets him survive to this day. Don Flamenco the ii. Instead of matador, he world renowned chef. His gimmick is food buffs. Aran Ryan son who unlike his father doesn’t. Cheat like really. He total opposite of his father. Soda Popinski, student. Who instead of using his muscel, prefer using his brain. This guy is an college graduate who introduced math into box. Bald Bull’s son who angry just like his father. Super Macho Mans, illegitimate son who recently caused controversy by existing. Mr.Sandman Junior.
@@shadowclaw7210 maybe have Bald Bull's successor start off as a raging bruiser, but as the fight goes on he gets more dangerous not because he gets angrier, but because he gets calmer.
Concept: I think in terms of the crossover picks, one that springs to mind for me as a logical pick could be Starman - from Pro Wrestling for the NES. He's obscure enough to be a logical addition to a normal lineup - but could also be really unique with his wrestling-themed abilities, using stuff like his Somersault Kick or Flying Cross Chop! He'd be a great callback, and a really unusual face too!
Ok I have interesting concepts for the bonus boss. What if the bonus fight was against Little Mac himself who decided to come out of retirement for one last good fight if the protagonist isn't him. Alternatively if it is Mac as the protagonist, the secret fight is against the Super Punch Out protagonist who was referred to as Little Mac after going his separate ways with Doc in the US material but has since been confirmed to be a separate character. I honestly really like the latter and can imagine a really interesting and fun fight against what is essentially a mirror match against a boxer who fights just like you and has access to his Knockout Punches in place of the Star Punch Mac has. Seriously I'm a sucker for battles against characters similar to the main hero I'm sure this would be fun as well to fight. Plus in terms of the hypothetical vs mode he'd play similarly to how he did in Super Punch Out, hell you could make him an alternate playable character with no real changes to the story other than offering some replayability that you get for beating him or his exhibition mode, but instead of him you fight Mac in his place who gets his own boss fight like the original idea suggested.
One idea I find really funny for the Nintendo circuit is for if you’re able to beat every character in survival mode or something like that, then the final opponent is Master Hand. How would that work? No clue, but the idea of having just a giant floating hand in a boxing game is hilarious to me
Lots of interesting ideas here, I think my favorite is having the two different leagues with Mac and a female boxer, that would essentially make the game two Punch-Out games in one package. Also, if we do get more guest characters in the next Punch-Out… we got to get Balrog from Street Fighter in there, he’d be perfect as a secret boss.
Almost any boxer from a fighting game has a shot, so long as it's within Nintendo's reach of legality. I'd love to see TJ Combo from Killer Instinct have a go at Little Mac but Microsoft have got a pretty hard grip on that franchise. Balrog could be really cool, especially if they gave him a unique street fighter style super metre that he could use for EX moves or full blown supers.
Maybe a massive crossover circuit between Punch Out and other video games. Call it like the Ultima Circuit or something like that. Here's my idea for boxers from that (not in order): For Mac: TJ Combo (from Killer Instinct) Akihiko (from Persona) Johnny Cage Balrog (From Street Fighter) For the female boxer, let's start with the Nintendo circuit (not in order) Princess Daisy Wii Fit Trainer Bea (Pokémon, Galarian fighting type gym leader) Twintelle (arms) And for her ultima circuit (again, not in order): Vanessa (king of fighters) Akira or Tiffany (Rival Schools) Cassie Cage Cammy (Street Fighter)
Some ideas! * The female boxer could be named Wendy, so we have Mac and Wendy, you know -> 🍔 * I hope to keep the international representation on the line of well intentioned cartoony stereotypes. Like a Tango dancer for Argentina, a Kpop starlet for Korea and so on. *The top female boxer should be "the Tooth fairy" The Nintendo league for female fighters could be: Princess Daisy, Dark Samus (If regular Samus competes against Mac) , Twintale (to not repeat Min Min as the ARMS cameo) and Tiki from Fire emblem (she could transform into a Dragon for a special move and give the ring a medieval look if you defeat her) Anyways, amazing video! Can't wait for what might come in the future!
A couple things: 1. I _adore_ the multiple boxers idea, but I think we can take it a couple steps further. Picture this: instead of choosing either a boy or a girl, you get both as playable characters, each with their own fights. Fully customizable, styles too if those make it in, lots of outfits and many more to unlock. Exhibition matches with challenges and a survival mode after beating the game. The story goes like this: The VBA announced a new league called the WVBA and a duo decide they both want to be champions, so they turn to the best boxer in history to train them: -Little- Mac. The male character rises through the VBA, fighting foes old and new while the female character faces the new WVBA and takes on an entirely new roster. There could be some relation to the old cast. I'm picturing characters from the arcade game Arm Wrestling making an appearance. Also 4 circuits for each. After they both become champions and defend their titles, they make their last stand. When they hang up their gloves, Mac expresses how proud he is of the champs. He directs them to an obscure corner of the gym. He removes the cover of a mysterious machine. It looks like an arcade machine. Interacting with it reveals that it's actually a remake of the Wii game, complete with Doc Louis' Punch-Out! Doc Louis also makes appearances throughout the game, but I'm not sure when. I'm also picturing a fight against Mac. 2. A new code was recently found for Super Punch-Out which, gets this, lets player 2 control any of the opponents. They are not balanced *at all,* so I'm picturing that for the multiplayer mode, the boxers show up at Mac's gym after getting beaten in the story mode. They fight exactly like they do regularly with their own movesets and unique moves exclusive to multiplayer. They can even wear the costumes you unlock from completing challenges. Also anyone can fight anyone. 3. After hearing their mentor relive their glory days _again,_ they get a mysterious letter for something called the "Mushroom Circuit." It's a series of fights against Nintendo characters, with title defense fights as well. I'm picturing these being bonus fights not related to the main story. They could even add more as DLC or free updates. Ideally, they could work as skins or playable characters. You can even use them in multiplayer! Obviously, DK is one of these fights.
I love all these ideas! Especially the "Glass Joe's wife is the champion" idea. It's the ULTIMATE "he asked for no pickles!" relationship. My personal idea for a Punch-Out sequel also included a female league. I like to think it'd be set an unspecified amount of time in the future. You'd play as Luna, the teenage daughter of Mr. Sandman, who is being trained by Little Mac. Luna has a signature move called the Moon Punch, which is like the Star Punch, but slightly different. With Mac's help, she'll rise up through the female league and follow in her dad's footsteps.
Maybe also have the Ravaging Red Moon, if you keep your maxed moons long enough, you get to basically get blade moon, and functionally punch MUCH faster, as everything else is in slo mo, the hits are more violent and brutal, but you take more damage, equal to double how much the slow down is (like, a 1.5x slowdown means you get hit three times as hard)
The three boxers could be boxers we've seen before. Swarmer - Little Mac from Super Punch-Out on the SNES Slugger - Giga Mac, from Punch-Out on the Wii Out-boxer - The boxer from the _original_ Punch-Out from 1983. He doesn't have an actual name, he's just called "Challenger" Since SNES Little Mac and Arcade Little Mac look _very_ different from the "main" Little Mac, it's entirely possible that these are all different boxers. Maybe the Little Mac from Punch-Out Wii sprained an ankle or something, so he started working out. He started focusing on his arm strength rather than his leg strength, eventually becoming the roided out slugger known as Giga Mac. Then the _previous_ Little Mac, from Super Punch-Out, returned to take his place. Add in the Challenger from Punch-Out 1983, and you have three former champs all competing for the same belt. Oh, and depending on which Little Mac you pick, the other two Little Macs become your opponents in the semifinals and finals! Maybe differentiate them by calling the swarmer Super Mac and the out-boxer Old Mac, and you're good to go!
I would love there to a be a mode called "Glass Joe's comeback" where you play as Glass Joe and fight through the circuits but you can train him up on the side and he gets stronger and stronger throughout the game and he eventually faces mr sandman, dk or even little mac. Maybe doc can teach him the star punch. Don't want it to be too similar to the main game so maybe having him start out very weak and having the training bonus on the side can make things more interesting.
Some of the fighters could be the students of the old fighters kind of like when fighting games want to have a time jump so it would still seem similar but with a new flare
Assuming there are 13 boxers like in the last game, and half of them are returning characters, I'd pick: Gabby Jay Pizza Pasta Mad Clown Narcis Prince Disco Kid and Mr. Dream returning as the World Champion! And for the Women's League, have Katy fight Princess Daisy, Jody Summer, and Twintelle. Twintelle could have FOUR boxing gloves!
i'm surprised you didn't put the main character from Teleroboxer, the forgotten Virtual Boy boxing game in the nintendo circuit that would be an amazing deep cut to make tbh
Unless Nintendo wants to go that far with these ideas, you can still make a new installment feel engaging and worth it by just having the other boxers fight each other. It's probably one the biggest demands I see for this game. Even the Mario movie referenced it with a picture of Hondo and Bull having a match. I also mentioned somewhere that I feel like another good idea was to extend the lore of its characters. The Wii game dipped its toes in with this idea, and it brought extra personality to the characters, so I think getting an extra slideshow for each of them once you beat all the challenges would serve as a nice reward. It may be a game about boxing, but saying you can have fun with this is an understatement.
Here's my pitch for a Nintendo Circuit if we go the Male/Female protag route. For Little Mac/Whoever the male is: -Donkey Kong because of course we need him -Wart from SMB2. I wanted an obscure Mario character and he seemed like a good pick -Captain Falcon. We can't leave him out he's too good to ignore -Urban Champion. An old forgotten character that I feel deserves a comeback in some form For the female character: -Princess Peach. She was considered in Wii after all -Min Min. Nintendo would probably try to promote Arms when given the chance, and Min Min has the popular vote -Samus. Because of course she would try to get revenge on Mac -Bea from Pokemon. It seemed like a fairly realistic pick on the female side if I'm being honest.
An idea for the unlockables: Maybe, after beating all of each enemy boxer's challenges, you gain a modification to your star punch that can be swapped out in the customisation screen. Maybe Glass Joe's turns your star punch into a long duration invincibility effect where your character automatically blocks and dodges incoming attacks, whilst Mr Sandman's turns it from a singular powerful punch into a barrage of punches that damage through blocks
I actually have a really good idea for this with Disco Kid. 1 Star - Absolutely useless. Mac just does a lil jig and the fight goes on as normal. You are invincible during the jig tho. 2 Star - Mac does a lil spin and his gloves hit the opponent. Simple as something that starts with S. 3 Star - Mac does Disco Kids 123 attack from TD after doing the lil jig from the one star.
It's so true how you said nintendo wants new entries to have new gimmicks. As for f-zero having a new game, it really would be huge to just add an open world or linear action game to f-zero, with the big events still being races. like captain falcon is a bounty hunter, its pretty easy to do stuff with that. same for the other racers, everyone in f-zero has some crazy side thing going on. I also remember there being a fan theory about how f-zero is like wrestling, as in it's all scripted and fake, that could actually be the framework for a whole set of new mechanics like crowd engagement, stunts, objectives within the race, rivalries, stuff like that.
So, my immediate idea for how to add a new twist to F-Zero is since Mario kart 8 took inspiration from F-zero with the anti gravity mode, maybe F-zero should take inspiration from Mario kart, and have the main new mechanic be customizing your car, I imagine the single player mode has you do races to win prize money to buy new parts to win higher level races.
6:32 Isn't Punch Out!! about a man that may or may not be in a relationship with an intergalactic bounty hunter, but also has his bike stolen, only to team out with the alleged thief to seek glory in the ring by beating up Mike Tyson? That's some pretty deep lore right there.
I despise how a mandate for Nintendo sequels is always “add something new to the formula even if it means not releasing a new entry for 20 years”. This is what got us stuck with that terrible control scheme in Star Fox Zero that Nintendo refused to change despite opinions lambasting it all the way up to its release. You dont have to reinvent the wheel Nintendo. If Activision can get away with release CoDs that essentially the same every year, you can get away with a new Star Fox, F-Zero or Punch Out after 10-20 years of nothing.
There was a hidden 2 player versus mode in Super Punch Out that was recently discovered. One player has to be Mac though (or whatever his name in that game is supposed to be), so it's not the same as your idea. MAJOR missed opportunity for your Nintendo Circuit idea to not include an ARMS character. C'mon, they're the other most notable Nintendo franchise featuring boxers! Speaking of, you got a little unfocused there at the end since you kept exclusively referring to the player character as Mac instead of something more neutral. EDIT: OH! I just had the perfect identity to stick to your female champion: A genderflipped Nick Bruiser from Super Punch Out, so call her Nic or Nikki and make her brother Rick the male champion. Also that would make the perfect compliment to your joke about her boyfriend being Glass Joe, since the best records for KOing Nick have Glass Joe in 8th place as an easter egg, and there was a rumor started by Nintendo Power that Joe's single victory was against Nick in a freak accident.
Despite what her Smash moveset would suggest, Samus has a lot of close-range moves these days, mostly thanks to Dread, and she’d be an absolute menace to fight.
This idea for a new Punch-Out!! game has popped up in my mind every now and again. Now after seeing this video it makes the concept sound even cooler! Out the ideas you presented I like the one with having two different leagues where you control a male boxer in 1 and a female boxer in the other. Plus the female boxer with the name Katie as a reference to an IRL boxer is a nice touch. Also an idea I have that stems from using returning characters but with a twist. How about within the group of returning boxers, we have a few characters from the very obscure Punch-Out!! spinoff, Arm Wrestling? Such as Texas Mac, Alice & Ape III, Frank Jr. They would be reimagined a little to fit inline with the Punch-Out universe. For ex. I can think of a new name for Texas Mac being "Texas Hol-M" a cheeky play on Texas Hold-em. Alice with an upgraded Ape IV, and Frank maybe rechristened to "The Monster". Plus if we go by your unlockable aesthetics idea we could say you can unlock a Mask X mask for Bald Bull! He did appear in Arm Wrestling under that alias so it would be a neat reference!
For Nintendo characters, there’s also Ricky the boxing kangaroo from Zelda, Boxin from Kirby, and Broozer from NSMB. Also, while you mentioned Hitmonchan as difficult to get permission for, I think it or Crabrawler/Crabominable would still be worth the effort, and would have some pretty interesting gameplay possibilities.
I always assume a good choice for the nintendo Circuit would be DK,Falcon, Karate Man Joe from Rhythm Heaven,if not the Rhythm Boxer from Fever. And Springman from ARMS.
My idea for a new puch out would take inspiration from persona and Hajime no Ippo. Basically you can explore your main boxers hometown and train or do activities that boost your stats. Each part of the circuit will lead to you interacting with your upcoming oponent and based on whether you befriend or antagonize your oponent the more difficult or easy the fight will be. For instance if you befriend glass Joe he becomes more motivated then ever to put in effort and becomes a little bit more challenging. This way we can give some small character development for some of these boxers and give them just a little bit more depth. The mode doesn't have to be super big and grandiose but it could make the world of punch out a bit more immersive
Punch Out for the Wii is one of my favorite games of all time and the best Wii game of all time. I really wish they got to do more with the stuff they came up with.
Surprised they didn't already. Especially since ARMS already showed the console is perfectly capable of doing the motion control boxing if they so desired. And ARMS is PVP focused fighting game with a lot more movement and mechanics going on, Punch Out is a solo arcade experience, so no toes are being stepped on here either (ignoring the vastly different universes and characters as well). Idk why they haven't showed any Punch Out desire
I have two fanservice ideas, One, have Arm Wresting references. Ape II, Kabuki, and Frank can be new boxers, BUT! Bald Bull would come back as Mask X as a way to gain publicity again. Two, have Mr. Dream be the final fight.
And maybe, if Bandai-Namco is interested, then we got someone from THE iDOLMASTER: SideM who can be a surprise Boxer. Someone who can attract an Ostrich.
I had an idea for the 3 different type of boxers thing, a past-present-future story Past - Doc Louis’s Reign - the first would focus on doc louis and his past, he would be a slugger, this would show us his past and how he rose to such an incredible status, since his age is unknown, let’s say he’s about the same age as sandman, for the final fight of his circuit would be a younger Mr. Sandman Present - Little Mac’s Reign - same ol’ same old, no explanation needed, he’s a swarmer, with the final fight being, plot twist, Mike Tyson (they get the licensing rights again) and when that runs out, Mr. Dream, just like the NES version Future - New Generation’s Reign - this story would be about a new boxer, an outboxer, and their own story, now who the final fight would be depends, for a female new boxer, it would be thorgi’s idea of glass joe’s wife, if a male new boxer however, an older little mac would be the final fight, YOU would be how he retires, that’s if you beat him however, as his super fast, super strong punches would be ridiculously difficult
My idea of a punch out switch port would just be "ultra punch out!!" which is basically just like punch out on the wii but with the characters from super munch out and an option to play as said games protagonist which plays a bit differently. Another concept i once had were tag team battles with mac and the guy from super punch out, but i never fully fletched out that idea.
kinda want to swap out the arena idea with Ganondorf and Captain Falcon because in the lore of F-Zero Captain falcon is a title that is passed on through generations and the next Captain Falcon is the one to surpass the current. Since the protagonist would be beating falcon by doing this it makes too much sense for them to get a captain falcon costume, you can even have their star punch be the falcon punch.
Love this series, mostly stuck with Mike Tyson's PO but loved the Wii and even the snes one just as much. If it came back I would like to see more influence from Super Punch Out characters alongside more new uncoventional boxers in general.
When he was talking about ideas for the female league my brain immediately went to “Posh british arrogant popular girl who comes from the same family as Narcissus Prince”
Some of us like the Wii motion controls for Punch Out-complete with balance board, expressly *because* it makes the game harder. And it’s a great workout!
Me and my brother have thought about a seguel for punch out. Our idea was little max as your trainer. Maybe the charter u play as cound look like super puntch out. Have that victory animation where doc Louis picks u up on his shoulders but with little max than have doc Lewis pick up max on his shoulders. Introduce new and old characters but give them coaches. For example give king hippo a protégé And how king hippo be in his corner. You could also Gabby J with glass joe in his corner. Kid quick be in disco kid’s corner. Also have one of von kiser students with von in his corner. Also have a relationship between coach’s and student evolve with the boxer. For example disco kid could get some new moves after he finishes his boxer sizing course. His relationship with a quick could deteriorate they could fight a lot and instead of him posing and leaving himself open He has a quick scuffle with kid quick.
First off, I’m glad you didn’t delay this to after Christmas but hey, no rush when it comes to your videos. Second, I still don’t know if this is a fighting game exclusive series but if it isn’t, then may I suggest an episode for Kirby Air Ride 2 or even Project X Zone 3.
I feel like the reward for captain falcon should be replacing the star punch with falcon punch, I just imagine falcon watching mac yell "FALCON PUNCH" and join him while he's sitting somewhere in the crowd
Always been a fan of the old Mike Tyson's Punch Out! It was practicly my childhood, and the revival for the wii was SO GOOD! Anyway, loved your ideas, keep up doing great.

My fanfic of a Punch-out Game would be Super Nintendo Punch-out, where you play as all the previous characters and fight against various Nintendo Characters. The matches would be preset but each character you play as has a skill as well as something for the opponent to exploit. Examples of fights: Glass Joe vs Luigi (vs Mario in Title Defense equivalent) Disco Kid vs Waluigi King Hippo vs Donkey Kong (Country) Returns Piston Hondo vs Meta Knight Don Flamenco vs Dark Pit (with bow but with staff in Title Defense; Pit and Palutena watch) Super Macho Man vs Captain Falcon Mr Sandman vs Bowser (Unlike previous boxers, Sandman would not have a listed weakness) Doc Louis would still be the coach but Glass Joe would be multi-lingual and help after the tutorial fight. (Seems the fandom just wants the best for poor Glass Joe and I find that hilarious) The final battle of Mr Sandman vs Bowser would have Bowser use Kamek's magic to become huge and then Mr Sandman has a cheesey "So this is how it feels? huh, Mac" moment.
I think Glass Joe's wife should be named Iron Ilda Iron because it's stronger than glass And ilda because it means Fighting a War As in it'll be like you're fighting an iron war
For Samus in the nintendo circuit. Have her be the Only Character who can Counter the Star Punch like in canon Not block, counter as in you take the damage the star punch would do, and then a rocket from her arm canon!
Super Punch-Out comes to mind when planning a Wii Punch-Out sequel for a few reasons. For one, it had some other boxers I'd love to see realized with full voices and models: Bob Charlie, Dragon Chan, Masked Muscle, Mad Clown, Narcis Prince and Hoy Quarlow. SPO's initial review in Nintendo Power had the negative part as follows: 'Needs more boxers. Can't choose to be a different boxer.' So that's the biggest change to make- give EVERYONE a full story mode with more background details about them (one of the Wii game's strengths is giving all of its boxers just as much international personality and humor as the Mercenaries in Team Fortress 2). Just imagine the triumph you'd feel when taking Glass Joe (or Gabby Jay) along the uphill path to the championship! SPO also had a 4th hidden Circuit as you mentioned, though if we're going to fit everyone plus the new guys in here we might need 5 or even 6 Circuits. The more, the merrier.
Glass Joe's wife being the final boss instantly sold me on the game.
I can already see the mountains of Twitter artists recreating the “he asked for no pickles” meme with those two and I’m all for it lol

I love the idea of Glass Joe being married to the world champ woman's boxer. It'd at least explain how a man that's lost 99 times in a row still gets to be in the league... they're afraid he'd cry to his wife if they ever actually fired him.
also if he can make that behemoth happy imagine if he used that energy to actually fight
I’ve always thought that a “chess boxer” would be funny. The mid-match cutscene’s would be them playing chess, with the special KO being them getting checkmated
Maybe each punch is a reference to a chess move. Like, a knight punch starts as a jab but suddenly veers into a hook.
And everytime he knocks you down he'll yell "check!"
@@joshzuker8308OMG that would be so cool!
And of course he’s going to need a move called the queens gambit unidirectional punch that has a slight indicator to determine the movement interrupting it with a star KO gives you the insta win but it has very tight timing
The Iron Jane idea is hilarious and definitely a joke Nintendo would use with Glass Joe.
She blows a kiss to him, and he immediately falls over and the k.o. sound effect plays
Girlboss X Malewife but in French
@@pinkiemeowstic89 Joe represents France during the 1st and 2nd world wars, while Jane represents France during the French Revolution
Would also play well into the series' humor

Ive had an idea for this new boxer for a while now.
I like to imagine him as a swedish boxer that is sorta like glass joe but if he was a little more compitent. And his WHOLE shtick is that he is OVERLY apologetic. Like, he'll knock you down and just be all like-
"Did it hurt?"
"Do you need help?"
"I didn't punch you to hard did I?"
Like he's genuinely concerned about you. But after a while it will start to feel more like he's taunting you. Even though he Truly means you no ill will.
You know despite the fact he's fighting you.
And if your asking, "If he's so apologetic than why is he boxing?"
And my answer is...I.. don't.. exactly know.. But I like to imagine it's because he wanted to be taken more seriously and gain more respect. But that parts still a work in progress
Maybe it’s because he’s a father who’s boxing to make money for his family. And whenever someone gets hurt his parental instincts kick in.
@@GretchenGoebel THATS SUCH A GOOD IDEA!!
So basically similar to Justin Turbeau from Election Year Knockout 2020?
Peta Zapasta is an amazing name
I'm loving these ideas.
What if beating Captain Falcon gave you the option to replace the Star Punch effects with a Falcon Punch?
That. Sounds. Awesome.
Even better, the 1 & 2 star punches are just different tiers of the Raptor Boost (his side-B uppercut for those who don't know the Smash move names super well) but the 3 star is the Falcon Punch to just REALLY drive the impact home.
EXACTLY!!! I was wondering if anyone was gonna mention that.
Cool
Ye
The idea of glass joe having a muscle mommy wife is so good and I’d probably die laughing if it became canon
She’s based off of Katie, an Irish boxer, and he has the line “Me sister hits harder than you boy!”
These ideas are amazing!!
I think the Nintendo Circuit needs a fight with Spring Man, or someone else from ARMS. Seems like a connection that needs to be made.
If they include a female boxer and the Nintendo Circuit, can you imagine her version of it including a fight with Min-Min while Mac (or Mac's successor) fights Spring Man?
Considering the original intention to have Peach being the secret rival in Wii, maybe she should be a part of the Nintendo Circuit.

A cool idea would be a prequel to the Wii punch out where we follow Doc Louis when he was competing, what would be cool also is if we could see all the older boxers and see them when they were young
and the entire game has a Black Dynamite-esque 60-70’s sports movie vibe
Hell, you could even squish that down as the tutorial mode, showing you play Doc Louis in the final match against, say, Super Macho Man that made him hang up his gloves.
Buff Von Kaiser to represent him in his prime.
He has to look like Apollo Creed, it's absolutely necessary
And if not
Well maybe a max costume could work since those two share some DNA
For that Nintendo circuit, Masked king Dedede would be a great choice as his mask could function like King Hippo’s man hole cover.
I want a Samus fight in Punch-Out to have a boxing glove on the arm cannon, even if she never actually uses it.
That is a funny image
It’s just fastened on with duct tape,
if she is tko'd her armor is knocked off completely
What about having the super punch out little Mac ( renamed to Peter punch or something similar) being a secret playable character and a secret boss
Matt could actually be a brutal challenge if he plays like they all did in Wii Sports, you get almost no windup to dodge/block
I feel like if you got Captain Falcon in the game, the falcon punch would be super telegraphed and easy to dodge but if you get hit by it you just instantly lose. I imagine it'd be accompanied by an animation of Mac being sent flying into one of the arena walls
Having that accompanied by the Smash announcer declaring "GAME!" would be the icing on the cake.
A big hit coming from the left? you'll get those vibrations happening as just another sign "hey, you gotta dodge this NOW"
In theory it could turn out that you can play the game without even seeing or hearing the screen lol.
Oh man imagine the rumble on the build-up & impact of a 3 Star Punch.
I was listening to the idea for multiplayer and had an idea, Imagine this:
You beat the base story mode, credits roll, and at the end you get a bunch of unlocks, But one of them stands out:???
*Is Glass Joe.*
Yep, This new mode allows you to play a new round of the story with the opponent boxers. You cannot tell me that wouldn't be hype as hell.
The "Nintendo Circuit" is an idea I've had for a hot minute, glad to see someone else pushing for more Nintendo reps!
I’ve always thought the idea of an “Intergalactic Punch-Out” would be amazing.

That sounds incredible!
Like Power Punch II only good.

My idea for the Nintendo Circuit and their unlocks:
Samus - futuristic and space related Boxing Ring
D.K - Replaces the music with the D.K rap (which can be toggled on and off)
Bowser - Get a giant shell on your back that has a small chance to make the enemy take a bit of damage
Captain Falcon - Replaces star punch effects with the Falcon Punch
King Dedede - Gives you a pink outfit with red boots (this is an obvious reference)
Hitmonchan - Gives you an outfit based on Red
Chrom - Replaces music with Id (Purpose) and gives you an outfit based on Robin (also can be toggled)

No clue, but the idea of having just a giant floating hand in a boxing game is hilarious to me
This man is going to be thinking of better games than what we get or don’t get
Lots of interesting ideas here, I think my favorite is having the two different leagues with Mac and a female boxer, that would essentially make the game two Punch-Out games in one package.
Here's my idea for boxers from that (not in order):

Akihiko (from Persona)
Johnny Cage
Balrog (From Street Fighter)
For the female boxer, let's start with the Nintendo circuit (not in order)

The Nintendo league for female fighters could be: Princess Daisy, Dark Samus (If regular Samus competes against Mac) , Twintale (to not repeat Min Min as the ARMS cameo) and Tiki from Fire emblem (she could transform into a Dragon for a special move and give the ring a medieval look if you defeat her)
Anyways, amazing video! Can't wait for what might come in the future!
Acquire BOrgar
"Ya probably got CHEESEBURGERS in those gloves, have ya Wendy?"
I would take Byleth over Tiki as a Fire Emblem Rep, because they have Brawling as a proficiency.
@@goodhelmetjunior3399 that could work. Same Corrine with her dragon limbs, but I didn't want to repeat Smash characters that much :P
And then it’s revealed that the K-Pop starlet is actually in a popular duo act…
with Disco Kid lol
YESS ANOTHER EPSIODE OF LET'S MAKE A SEQUEL!
While I, like many, love "Build The Roster", I do love seeing more episodes of this series as well
Same
A couple things:
Maybe also have the
Ravaging Red Moon, if you keep your maxed moons long enough, you get to basically get blade moon, and functionally punch MUCH faster, as everything else is in slo mo, the hits are more violent and brutal, but you take more damage, equal to double how much the slow down is (like, a 1.5x slowdown means you get hit three times as hard)
Another idea for the Moon punch Is to give fast (but weak) punches to the opponent, just to make it a bit different frok little mac's star punch
@@Aaa-vp6ug Oooh that sounds awesome!!!
Sounds like the Creed movies
@@salt_factory7566 That was one of my inspirations!
The three boxers could be boxers we've seen before.
Swarmer - Little Mac from Super Punch-Out on the SNES
Slugger - Giga Mac, from Punch-Out on the Wii
Out-boxer - The boxer from the _original_ Punch-Out from 1983. He doesn't have an actual name, he's just called "Challenger"
Since SNES Little Mac and Arcade Little Mac look _very_ different from the "main" Little Mac, it's entirely possible that these are all different boxers.
Assuming there are 13 boxers like in the last game, and half of them are returning characters, I'd pick:
Gabby Jay
Pizza Pasta
Mad Clown
Narcis Prince
Disco Kid
and Mr. Dream returning as the World Champion!
And for the Women's League, have Katy fight Princess Daisy, Jody Summer, and Twintelle. Twintelle could have FOUR boxing gloves!
How did you manage to talk about possible guest characters for a Punch-Out game on the Switch and somehow *not even mention* ARMS
Well...who the fuck remembers ARMS?!
@@GooberInternetI fuck do
@@GooberInternet he used it in the vieeo
Thanks for reminding me I’ve been wanting Punch-Out on Switch again. I miss this series.
Love all of this. My own personal hope for a new punch out is that Matt from Wii sports is one of the secret fights
i'm surprised you didn't put the main character from Teleroboxer, the forgotten Virtual Boy boxing game in the nintendo circuit
that would be an amazing deep cut to make tbh
I’d like to see the game take place years before Little Mac, and show Doc Louis in his prime.
thatd be good for dlc
And prime Von Kaiser could be the final boss
Pretty obscure idea but I’d like to see a Ring fit adventure sequel
Here's my pitch for a Nintendo Circuit if we go the Male/Female protag route.
For Little Mac/Whoever the male is:
-Donkey Kong because of course we need him
-Wart from SMB2. I wanted an obscure Mario character and he seemed like a good pick
-Captain Falcon. We can't leave him out he's too good to ignore
-Urban Champion. An old forgotten character that I feel deserves a comeback in some form
For the female character:
-Princess Peach. She was considered in Wii after all
-Min Min. Nintendo would probably try to promote Arms when given the chance, and Min Min has the popular vote
-Samus. Because of course she would try to get revenge on Mac
-Bea from Pokemon. It seemed like a fairly realistic pick on the female side if I'm being honest.
An idea for the unlockables:
Maybe, after beating all of each enemy boxer's challenges, you gain a modification to your star punch that can be swapped out in the customisation screen.
14:03 heck the boxing ring even looks like a music staff, it really is a rhythm game in disguise.
Oh I am HERE for this! It's about time we got another Punch Out game!
If they do make another punch out game, they better bring back the legend known as Super Macho Man. I will die on this hill.
I want a sequel for the classic wario land games. They were so unique and fun. i am so sad that wario only gets wario ware these days.
F1rst........
I literally had a concept about this.
The Switch would work perfectly for a
Punch Out game.
Same man what was your ifea
Surprised they didn't already. Especially since ARMS already showed the console is perfectly capable of doing the motion control boxing if they so desired. And ARMS is PVP focused fighting game with a lot more movement and mechanics going on, Punch Out is a solo arcade experience, so no toes are being stepped on here either (ignoring the vastly different universes and characters as well). Idk why they haven't showed any Punch Out desire
I have two fanservice ideas,
One, have Arm Wresting references.
I had an idea for the 3 different type of boxers thing, a past-present-future story
Past - Doc Louis’s Reign - the first would focus on doc louis and his past, he would be a slugger, this would show us his past and how he rose to such an incredible status, since his age is unknown, let’s say he’s about the same age as sandman, for the final fight of his circuit would be a younger Mr. Sandman
Present - Little Mac’s Reign - same ol’ same old, no explanation needed, he’s a swarmer, with the final fight being, plot twist, Mike Tyson (they get the licensing rights again) and when that runs out, Mr. Dream, just like the NES version
Future - New Generation’s Reign - this story would be about a new boxer, an outboxer, and their own story, now who the final fight would be depends, for a female new boxer, it would be thorgi’s idea of glass joe’s wife, if a male new boxer however, an older little mac would be the final fight, YOU would be how he retires, that’s if you beat him however, as his super fast, super strong punches would be ridiculously difficult
"The switch is entering the end of its life cycle"
Wait it hasn't been that lo-
Oh crap
My idea of a punch out switch port would just be "ultra punch out!!" which is basically just like punch out on the wii but with the characters from super munch out and an option to play as said games protagonist which plays a bit differently.
Another concept i once had were tag team battles with mac and the guy from super punch out, but i never fully fletched out that idea.
Another fun unlockable idea: after getting some calientes done, the doc louis bien cutscene chances to him riding on a yoshi following little Mac
Honestly this is one of your most interesting videos to date, absolutely loved it.
30 minutes of Punch Out crossover ideas and not a single mention of ARMS?
kinda want to swap out the arena idea with Ganondorf and Captain Falcon because in the lore of F-Zero Captain falcon is a title that is passed on through generations and the next Captain Falcon is the one to surpass the current.
I always wanted a punchout game were you play as doc lewis in his prime when he was a boxer

6. Wave Race
5. Star Fox
4. Advance Wars
3. Punchout
2. Golden Sun

Best thing out of this video is Glass Joe’s wife idea. Love it
My fanfic of a Punch-out Game would be Super Nintendo Punch-out, where you play as all the previous characters and fight against various Nintendo Characters. The matches would be preset but each character you play as has a skill as well as something for the opponent to exploit.
Examples of fights:
Glass Joe vs Luigi (vs Mario in Title Defense equivalent)
Disco Kid vs Waluigi
King Hippo vs Donkey Kong (Country) Returns
Piston Hondo vs Meta Knight
Don Flamenco vs Dark Pit (with bow but with staff in Title Defense; Pit and Palutena watch)
Super Macho Man vs Captain Falcon
Mr Sandman vs Bowser (Unlike previous boxers, Sandman would not have a listed weakness)
Doc Louis would still be the coach but Glass Joe would be multi-lingual and help after the tutorial fight. (Seems the fandom just wants the best for poor Glass Joe and I find that hilarious)
The final battle of Mr Sandman vs Bowser would have Bowser use Kamek's magic to become huge and then Mr Sandman has a cheesey "So this is how it feels? huh, Mac" moment.
I think Glass Joe's wife should be named Iron Ilda
Iron because it's stronger than glass
And ilda because it means
Fighting a War
As in it'll be like you're fighting an iron war
For Samus in the nintendo circuit. Have her be the Only Character who can Counter the Star Punch like in canon
Not block, counter as in you take the damage the star punch would do, and then a rocket from her arm canon!
Making Glass Joe a malewife is the best idea you’ve ever had
1:52 Did you know that the picture of Captain Falcon in that form is a screenshot from a Playstation game called Modnation Racers?
No wait, even better. Don’t have ganondorf, have KING K ROOL, the crocodile is literally a boxer.
Yep.
I think it would be cool to see Don Flamenco and Bald Bull fight
Don has launched a bull into orbit before and Bald Bull is, well, Bald *Bull*
Hey Thorgi, I would wanna see what ideas you have for the Garou/Fatal fury sequel and how it should differentiate itself from KOF
SPO's initial review in Nintendo Power had the negative part as follows:
'Needs more boxers.
