I was watching one of these hunter killers murdering everyone from a safe distance on this exact map... I was wondering to myself "that thing looks badass" as it killed everyone on the battlefield. Damn thing stood up, looked straight at me and charged me. I ran for my life screaming irl.... It caught me and killed me in the same manner. I was so scared. My dog was watching this all go down with me :( it was traumatizing. 10/10 would play again.
I watched half the team die after I got pounced by one minutes earlier because one of them saw it and stuttered while standing there. The friend in front of him was yelling at them to move and his head was crushed while the one still standing there didn't move and also died. It prompted me to go solo since he happened to have a habit of standing up for no reason when looking around.
I have never had a grabber spawn and charge for me like that.... especially on a non-harvest time run. Was it a Hunter Killer? All I ever get with HKs is EODs and a medium mech every now n then. Have to say.....a grabber as an HK is a definite "oh shit!" Moment.
I had the first 20 seconds or so happen to me the EXACT same way. I think there is a bug in that the stalkers see you across the mesa and just book it towards you.
@@TheSeventhEnd perhaps I've just gotten lucky, I usually survey the field beforehand to note their locations and book it using the tank hulks for cover. Usually there's no loot around to catch my attention to linger out in the open but that's because it's always the harvest time these guys show. Never had one pop up during war.
what are the moments where they arrive? if too much time passes on the map or if you kill many enemies? in some maps they patrol areas, while sometimes a message appears on the screen that warns of their arrival.
thank you was unable to find any gameplay footage of people watching the firefights, i like this game in that you are not immidietly in combat and you can watch factions fight, always liked to sit back in games that had multiple factions and just watch them duke it out, same with gmod.
TFW is my new favorite game. It’s a shame that my computer runs like total dogshit. I typically run Shaman with an RPK, but after hearing Mask Man’s voice lines I might try him.
Yeah you're right, its one of the few unkillable units at the moment like Toothy or Mother Courage but thats gonna change as this game develops. Everything is super early and bare bones, game is nowhere close to being finished.
Man you think I’d love this game as it’s a sci fi setting I love, but I can’t play it more than a hour or so a session. It’s just so dour. And that’s a compliment to its awesome art direction. Vibes upon vibes.
Thank you so much! Yeah I also enjoy just sitting back and watching firefights play out in this game and its something I commonly do in most of my Forever Winter videos. I'm looking forward to more units being introduced and the AI being improved for even better immersion in the future.
Issues I have with this game, still very scripted like, no destructbile environments, just another survival/extraction shooter. Boring. Art direction is spot on, shame about the rest.
The mask man saying “Gotta keep a record in case of my death…” was a perfect opener for the things to come 😂

theres multiple triggers possible
If you loot too many valuable items or kill too many units.

You need to add it to you’re rig in the innards
Buy the rig light from the rig vendor and add it to a large item slot. Then when you are in a map, press Q to toggle it on and off.

You should have nv goggles or a mini map in this game aswell as a counter measure against attack like a stunner or something.
