Thanks for the kind comment. The GR III is an excellent camera that has some great and unique features. Take time to really get to know it. Most people don’t use it to its fullest potential. The power is in the presets!
Thanks for the comment! That’s fantastic! Ricoh and Fujifilm. I find they compliment each other really well. Take your time, and really get to understand the GR III. It’s full of wonderful features! Do you have any questions? Maybe I can help.
@@photosoftaiwan thank you. Pls keep doing what your doing with videos like this, I’m a biker with another European tripped planned for July so I’m trying to learn as much as I can especially for the GR, B&W and also full saturation colouring is my main focal points. Thanks again and I look forward to your next video 👌
...hi Ian...great work....I shoot in RAW only mode...I am losing the preset/effect when I import my images into LR Classic, they are imported in color instead of B&W...any hints as to what may be the issue?...thanks...
Hi, thanks for the comment! Lightroom will assign one of its profiles when you import. You need to change it in the Develop module. There are some camera matching profiles that you can choose, but Adobe didn’t give us all of the profiles that we have in camera. The most obvious omission is BW Hi (my favourite). There is a solution and that is to use third-party profiles. I can recommend Perfefilm. I have no affiliation with them, I just like them! Here’s a link to a video I made about using them: GR3 Must Have Profiles ua-cam.com/video/pLRPbTtWgrM/v-deo.html Incidentally, you can select the default import profile for each camera that you use in the preferences.
Just got my GRIII today, I appreciate these vids and looking forward to seeing more of your presets!
Glad you like them!
I’m thinking about purchasing a GR III and these have been very helpful. Your photography is excellent.

Might be off topic but I'll try: how do you setup the LCD for viewing directly in B&W?
Thanks for the comment. The LCD will reflect the Image Control you have selected. I just shoot RAW, but I usually use B/W Hi. Hope this helps!
so good, reminds me of eric kims preset but not as dark love it
Thanks for the kind comment!
Bonjour, magnifiques photos, trés inspirant, merci pour le partage, je m'abonne 🙂👍
Merci beaucoup pour ce gentil commentaire.
Hello Ian, thanks for your great video's. Are 'f8 and be there' and 'shadow hunter' not a little bit the same?
Thanks for the comment. No, f8 uses manual focus, Av mode and multi segment metering. Shadow Hunter uses P mode and Highlight weighted metering

@@photosoftaiwan ...Ian, thanks for the guidance...btw Perfefilm works like a charm...

Here I am (yet again), thinking I want the 28mm from the GR III rather than the 40mm from my GR IIIX...
Get both! I don’t have a GR IIIx, but sometimes wish I did. I was tempted to buy one, but I keep hearing rumours of a GR IV.
