The guy on the final call really tried to push how difficult his job was and how much work he had to do....yet wouldn’t accept trying to fond a refined way of doing it. The amount of people like that in business is laughable 😂
They don’t want to fix it, they just want someone to hear them complain. It’s like when your girl is mad about something, she doesn’t want you to fix it, she just wants sympathy points, lol
He's good! Asks questions, gathers data, listens attentively, uses humor, and gives value propositions to business owners to find a problem to solve. That's what I try to do as the Broker/Owner, and cold call salesperson for our real estate company here in Fort Myers, FL.
Hi Benjamin. Attended the webseminar Monday and Got curious to watch Your style. It’s just awesome. Friendly, honest and simple. What’s not to like 😊. I get the feeling You could have gotten a meeting if You wanted, but decided not to, because You would just have wasted Your time. Like to comment?
This is great. You can use NLP to pre suggest / FRAME. For example when you asked "Have you CLOSED your mind to the possibility that it doesn't have to be this way." try asking "Have you OPENED your mind to other possibilities that would solve these problems if there was a way?
Oftentimes suggesting a negative causes the prospect to reflexively reason in favor of a positive, which oddly enough just so happens to be where your solution comes into play now that they mention it.
Been cold calling/phone sales as my first job right out of high school and 9 years later have had a ton of success (based on my personal goals no ego intended) and I absolutely love your opener! There are obviously many techniques with varying degrees of success depending on who uses them/how effectively they do it and at least today (maybe it was a just hot streak ;)) the way you do this particular method is so disarming it basically guarantees a chance to qualify/get a small pitch for more time to everyone who picks up the phone. If it's not a good fit it's not a good fit but this way seems great for getting that shot to find out. Hardest part of any cold call is getting them to legitimately listen to you for just a second and this works really great. If you use tone properly the way you do they literally are like "sigh well I guess I'll let you try to sell me something quick" without them really realizing it I think haha. Of course every industry/person has different tactics like this that work better/worse but this one seems like it would be 90% effective (extremely high) in damn near every phone sales setting.
Tone and pattern of conversation often has the other person falling into what seems like the appropriate stance. Make it a stance which places the other person in a disposition to please and it should be an easier path to get them thinking about the product and how it helps them. On the other hand go down the wrong tone and conversation pattern it will be an uphill struggle.
