Good product, albeit with Three FLAWS:
Good looks, reasonably priced, spacious & taller. It ticks 90% of all expectations of Indians.
Problems/disadvantages:
1st problem is the smaller battery pack which can generate only a 230 - 250 km run. A larger battery pack (high range) is ESSENTIALLY required to CATER long journey commuters. MG must RETHINK soon. Absence of provision of a long range battery will not be good for a family MPV sales. Choice is restricted.
2nd is No provision of spare wheel.
3rd - Colour Discrimination - All variants should be available in all colours. If you do this, customers will shift to other makers.
When Tata Sierra 2025 & KIA Siros get launched on 2025, it could be retirement time for MG Windsor unless and otherwise they come up with a long-range battery. Let's see.
The sooner MG provides a larger battery pack....the good for MG. Otherwise, it would be approaching the "retirement" stage, i.e - Competition will eat up.

No way rental is not emi. You need to pay for a battery with interest .Third party finances are so dangerous please read their agreement documents before signing anything

3.5 rupees per km is just a rental. Interest and load amount will be separate which you can pay it as per agreement with the financier.
If I'm paying loan for battery, then I'm claiming ownership of the battery. Then why should I pay the rental too. It should be either loan or rental.

3.5rs/km run and everyone forget about charging cost at home would be around 8-10rs/km so total cost per km is (8-10)+3.5=11.5 to 13.5rs, a petrol car with 13KMPL would cost around 7.7rs/km fuel cost without range anxiety. Additionally 3.5L for battery cost, Better buy 10L petrol car and put petrol for 3.5L run it for 45000kms and sell it for 6L.
How is it 8 to 10rs / km for charging at home?
1kw would take 11 rs max so total. 38 Kw
So around 420 rs

BAAS is not true. It is just loan with specific financiers. Only benefit is for People with low CIBIL score who can't get normal car loan and MG will get battery loan at very high interest rate. This is only for rare people who are in financial trouble. All these private financiers charge higher rate of loan than banks, so bank loan is cheaper. Practically, there is no rental. It is all EMI payment with interest rate. At anytime, you can pay the 3.5 lakh with interest minus amount paid as emi(also called as rental here) and get out of financial hypothecation.
