    Ukie Yoga!!! Thanks 👍. I've been applying this daily. I've added a metronome. I'm 'noticing' improvement which is encouraging. Because by slowing down with the metronome and my age, I've discovered by biggest weakness is patience. I move slower, but want things faster.🦋

    • @UkuleleZen
      @UkuleleZen  2 роки тому +1

      Wonderful! Keep it up...the metronome metamorphosis is well underway. You will reach a place in your practice where the awareness of tempo you cultivate with your 'nome becomes integrated and you'll feel very stable. Keep in mind that the journey stops when you do...😉 Enjoy and thanks for being a part of this community 🙏🎶🦋

    Good Morning Stu, I started this process after a similar video a while ago. It really does work and I am no longer "strangling 😊" the neck of my ukulele. This procedure is also very helpful with barre chords. Thank You Stu, for another good tip.

      Great to hear Jim! The strangle-hold...I can relate! It's easy to over do it on a small scale fretboard like the uke. Thanks for watching and saying hi -- happy jamming 😃

      Hi Stu. You post great videos. I've been following for a long time. I have only one issue you should have mentioned with this video. You need to have, regardless of your technique, a well setup instrument. Doesn't matter the cost of the uke. If your strings are too high, this is difficult.

  • @patriceleguy8072
    @patriceleguy8072 2 роки тому +1

    Thanks Stu for that tip ! I realize that on my high G with Aquila strings, very soft ones, I just have to press them very little to obtain nice sound. The action is quite low on my Pono (thank's to Ukulele site guys....)I Have to check with others uke with others strings.... Anyway, a good way to stay relax. Physiosical (?), body action, is an important part for a string instrument player I think and I often take time to analyse difficult chord or transition chords...

    Hey Mista peaceful & relaxed player, I saw this content in older video from, and trying it for more than 3month, I have so much pain and cramps in my hands of not being able to play relaxed.
    Maybe are u doing online lessons? For me it is a pretty long distance to swim over the big pond from Germany to take a single lesson of u😉🤔

      Hi Doña, thank you for watching and joining here! It can take a while for this habit to establish itself… It’s important to take the hand off of the instrument each time you want to interrupt the old habit and replace it with a new one. It can seem like a long long journey and will test your patience but in the end it is worth it. I do not offer one on one lessons at this time, but I do have coaching sessions each month for members of my Patreon community who are members at the five dollar a month tier or higher. The next coaching session is tomorrow… You can join in live or watch any time… I take questions in advance and often have people join with their WebCams to get personalized attention 😊 see the link in the video description below if you’re interested in joining… No pressure intended 🤙

    Hey Stu good morning and thank you for the video again. Would you talk about your $800 k l o o s ukulele. They seem cool they sound great when you play them. But I have read different reviews where people say they don't sound as good as they wish they did and you can get four good ukuleles for $800 instead of one carbon fiber k l o o s

    • @UkuleleZen
      @UkuleleZen  2 роки тому +1

      I hear you Aries...it is a big investment and I was on the fence too. As a matter of fact I was planning on doing a review of my KLOS and another plastic uke I have in the coming month and a half. I will say that the newer generation software KLOS have a better sound than the 1st ones...I know because I've had both 😉 Thanks for watching and joining in....wishing you well, Stu

      I can’t speak for the ukes, but I have had one of their full sized hybrid deluxe guitars since that model was launched in 2018. It’s worth every penny. Very low maintenance, not worrying if you bump or bang it, able to leave it on a stand, super easy to take anywhere, comfortable neck - it costs a lot upfront, but it’s an instrument you’ll have for life, backed by a lifetime warranty against defects (no abuse or normal wear and tear). You’ll save on maintenance and repair costs. The instruments are totally high quality tone and are played by pro musicians for gigs and recording. There are many reasons that make KLOS make sense. They’re also WAY stronger than all the injected molded composite import models that cost nearly the same as a KLOS in many cases - KLOS uses bidirectional carbon fiber whereas most brands like Journey, Rainsong, Lava, etc. use powdered/ground CF mixed with resin, which is about the same strength as wood if not just slightly stronger. Go find the Agufish channel when he unboxed a Lava 3 that had a smashed soundboard - that’ll never happen to a KLOS. Those guitars are not suitable for homes without rowdy children/pets, travelers, pro musicians, etc. where damage is bound to happen. Some sound nice and their are good for places where the climate is very dry/humid. But if it’s durability and saving money longterm that you’re after, not to mention amazing tone, you’ll want a KLOS. It’s the least expensive brand using bidirectional CF, where most brands using the same quality material would cost double or more.
      Btw, you can save money by buying KLOS bstock, watching for sales (join their email list!), watching for kickstarters (which will always be the lowest price ever for each model), or buying a used model on Reverb from people who are selling theirs (usually because they have money issues, not because they want to part with it, if you read the descriptions).
      I know it’s not a uke, but hopefully this gives you confidence in buying from KLOS. Oh, they also give several weeks to try it. If you don’t like the instrument, they will happily exchange or refund you. And their customer service will bend over backwards to make the instrument just the way you want (it’s not a full custom shop, but it’s fairly close - and they do customizations for every instrument they sell). If you have any q’s/concerns, reach out to them and they will respond!
