How ironic and absolutely fitting that the greatest radio broadcaster ever (Cawood Ledford) called his final game as the voice of the Kentucky Wildcats for 39 years in what is still arguably the greatest college basketball game ever played, if not ever at least in the modern era, in that 1992 East Regional Final game between Kentucky and Duke at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. It was a real heavyweight fight between two true blue bloods of the game that night, with both teams giving back just as good as they'd just gotten all game long. And though a born and raised, lifelong Kentucky fan, a ton of respect to Coach K for approaching Cawood and asking to address the fans listening to Cawood's call on the radio that night back home in the Bluegrass state, and for the classy comments he made about the Kentucky fans, coaches, & team, and the level they had played at in that game.

They 1992 East regional final is the greatest non final four semifinal or national championship game between these two teams plus the game in 92 at the Philadelphia spectrum going to overtime 4 lead changes plus the finish makes it memorable

Yeah, "Dukie V" loves his Blue Devils and Wildcats. But I don't mind. He is not a referee or coach so he is not influencing the game. I love his emotion. I wish Dickie V could do some NCAA tournament games but he works for ESPN.
