THANK YOU for posting these Classic games, I feel like I'm in high school again... The thing I remember about this game is Cameron going absolutely insane as the clock strikes 0.00.. Even Cameron Indoor doesn't rock quite like this anymore.
Hahahaha....Yeah, Cameron is still a wonderful venue, but it sure doesn't rock like this like it did at the time!! It's saddening that I have yet to attend a REAL game there. Only been there for an NBA Preseason Game almost four months earlier than this game, when Allen Iverson and the Sixers played the Wizards. But, of course, it doesn't beat going to a Duke game.
This has to be the absolute loudest I've ever heard Cameron Indoor Stadium. The absolute loudest I've heard Phog Allen Fieldhouse is when they're playing Georgia Tech and Texas on two different occasions. This is why we ALL LOVE COLLEGE BASKETBALL!!!!!!!!
The thing I remember most about this game is the way Raymond Felton and Rashad McCants stared at each other starting at the 1:39:58 mark after they botched the last play and couldn't even get off a shot to win the game. I don't think I've ever seen 2 teammates react that way with each other after a loss. thecozzman89, your library of games is WAY better than the ACC vault or NCAA vault because you have a wide variety of big games and random games from the original broadcast!! Seeing the actual commercials and the ESPN ticker from those games makes it feel like you've gone back in a time and are in the year 2005(with this game) or whatever year the game you're watching took place.

I hate when they put the score or the winner in the title. Some of these games I cannot remember who wins for example let's take the 2007 NCAA tournament. I don't remember every team that won the first round. So if you can find old tournament games that you can't remember who won it's nostalgic and semi new at the same time.

Even with the entire UNC team being African American Majors, meaning they never had any class work and never had to do anything but play basketball, they couldn't defeat the mighty Blue Devils on this night. Felton choked this game away. And now, 9 years later lets assess the history of the players on this floor. The best NBA player BY FAR from this game is JJ Redick. Ray Felton is 2nd best but JJ is a starter for a top team in the West and has improved every year. A true winner. McCants and Shelden Williams were both busts. Marvin Williams plays for the Hornets but has not come close to living up to his #2 over selection. Mild bust. Shav Randolph has far and away surpassed Sean May as an NBA player. May ate his way out of the league in 3 years, Shav is still playing and making millions while May is broke and can't find work due to the fact that his degree is worthless and he is a fat chump who liked to show his tittay on tv. Daniel Ewing made it to the NBA but is gone now. Lee Melch is a top NBA agnet. Jawad Williams was a major bust who got cut from Cleveland after 2 games because LeBron called him soft and hated him. And while its meaningless to speculate, had Duke had the team they originally formed for this year they would have gone undefeated by far. Shaun Livingston JJ Redick Luol Deng Kris Humphries Shelden Williams. Best team that never was? Not quite, but still, Duke is all class. Carolina? Not so much.

Ewing was a low key stud his last 2 yrs at Duke. He got overshadowed by Redick & Williams, but he was clutch in a lot of big games.

Loudest I've ever heard the Dean Dome was the UNC Duke game in March that same year. Both of those games were absolute classics in the rivalry.
