Hacksaw is still so over.
JYD and Hacksaw Duggan were a huge part of my childhood. JYD was so over, it was amazing! I remember the poll Marcus is talking about, and it was really how it was. Duggan took the top spot when JYD left, and even though Watts tried a half-dozen black stars, none surpassed Duggan, much less got close to JYD-level. I met JYD a couple of months before his tragic accident. He was cool, tried to recruit me for his planned relaunch of Mid-South Wrestling in New Orleans area.
Love Listening to Hacksaw's Stories from Back in the Day 👊😁👍
Me too. I wonder why Marcus didn't create a channel for Hacksaw, instead of sharing Dibiase's channel.

I love Hacksaw's candidness about the old days. He doesn't necessarily sound proud of all the coke he did, but he doesn't apologize for it either. It was what it was. It's too bad some people couldn't handle it, but good on Hacksaw for getting out of it when he realized he needed to.
I watched Junkyard dog progress from a guy who pushed a wheel barrow to the ring full of junk to the unbeatable irrepressible peoples champion of Midsouth . I can say with clear conscience that The Junkyard Dog that Vince stole away was a shadow of what he once was and he never recovered . He was sooo muscular and fit when he first got over winning the Louisiana Championship but once his cocaine usage became unmanageable he became slow and bloated and lackluster . He never was a good worker but his power and charisma was enough if you put him in the ring with a competent heel making their best money putting him over . That never happened in WWF because it was Hogan all the heels wanted to work with . They were trying mostly to get themselves over so that they could work with Hogan . So they did not give JYD the sane level if cooperation he was used to .
Vince didn't "steal" JYD. JYD went to the WWF because Vince offered him more money. JYD made more money in the WWF than he did in Mid South. JYD was over but he was out of shape, couldn't do much in the ring, and strung out on drugs.

He was OVER in Shreveport!
JYD had at least a 1/2dozen gf’s and about a dozen kids with them all over Caddo/Bossier Parishes.
He as always high and chasing loose women.
🤣
He would sweat like a waterfall just walking to the ring.
He was very friendly to the fans and us kids tho.
Your comment takes me back to my youth and Young manhood! Sooo long ago. Thank you from Calion, Ark.
@rucksnitepreacher5618, I know exactly where Calion is! I’m originally from Camden

I can't imagine Hacksaw not getting along with anyone!
