Same goes for Far Cry 3. I mean, yeah, they copied over the same reload sound effects from Black Ops; but there's a definite crunch behind the slide release.
Honestly as much as Modern Warfare 2019 can be annoying as all hell on Warzone and the multiplayer, the animations are some of the best in the series and it really does make some other games look so rigid.
I honestly think that the sounds are *that* good because they used the real guns to make the sounds and all. I think the best detail in the game is the effort they put on it, modeling on scale, with real guns, taking help from veteran soldiers, i think Journalist or well, people from Middle East to make Farah, it's just beautiful all the effort, and it's worth
@@illoliveoil Yeah the amount of care, effort and attention to detail really so shine through here in this game. Just a shame that Treyarch took a step backwards with Cold War and their toy-ish sounding weapons.
Mad respect to game animators that actually put in a full reload animation for akimbo weapons, rather just having the character dump the magazines, stick them to their sides and magically pop back up reloaded.
Do you really want that in a CoD game? The reason why akimbo is the way it is is because you can fire and reload both pistols individually with akimbo on.
@@brawler715 When did he ever imply that? He simply said that animators who bother to include the dual animation should be recognized. Nothing about CoD.
crazy how other games also use BO1's iconic sounds for reloads (Note that most have mainly the slide's sounds) 1:29 (Far Cry 3) 2:12 (BO1) 2:17 (Same sounds as FC3's, FC4) 3:17 (Battlefield Bad Company 2) 3:42 (Battlefield 1943) 4:32 (where it originated as in mag in,out , WAW) 5:16 (Duke Nukem Forever, kinda hard to tell but its there) 6:17 (Mafia Remake) 6:20 (Mafia 3)
The very first game I know of to use the sound was Halo CE. I remember hearing that it was an old stock sound and for some guns it just stuck, I guess the 1911 is one of them.
Interesting thing: at 0:33 from the Medal of Honor Warfighter game, the thumb is located on the safety latch. It's beneficial to your grip and allows more leverage for aiming. Surprised it was the only example shown to do that
Only weird thing I saw was it looked like he slid his left thumb down the safety latch to send the slide back forward. I've seen people flick the slide lock down with their left thumb, but this just looks dumb
@@ArcturusOTE it depends of who made the gun. To me the magazine eject/insertion sound on cod 1&2 is because of a tight fit and the magazine slides along the trigger bar. Very few capture that subtle sound of a "pop" when the slide drops from lockback and loading a round into the chamber and I love the fact that cod 1&2 has that. Kudos to the sound team.
Whenever a game has a 1911, it's instantly in my secondary. I even own a Sig Sauer C3 1911 in real life. The 1911 is an amazing gun, and has proven itself to be amazing even after 100 years. The majority of arms that have ever been introduced in World War 1 did not live to see another day and were quickly forgotten. The few that did carry on were not alot, and the 1911 was one of the few. And even with WW2 Germany's superior arms, the 1911 has seen action alongside the P08 Luger. But even the P08 was retired after World War 2 alongside the few that barely made it past WWI like the M1903 Springfield, which then continued to see a couple more wars before officially ending it's military career. But the 1911 carried on to Korea, Vietnam, and even after getting replaced by the Beretta in 85, the 1911 is still in the military to see Iraq, Afghanistan. On record, it is retired as the military's official sidearm. Retired from use? Not so much. You'll be hard pressed to get me to change my choice of sidearm in games.
i think it’s more of trying to show how a soldier might feel during war. scared, having the feeling you could die any second, or maybe even PTSD. it’s world war 2 after all. shaky hands were common.
Seems like a lot of animators are trying to copy MW's style. I don't really mind tho, MW's the new bar for good first person gun animations for me personally.
it makes sense now why the 1911 had a broken reload animation in BF4, BF1 and BFV. Dice took the 1911 model from medal of honor warfighter for BF4, and in medal of honor you can see the slide doesn't go all the way back on an empty magazine, Same for BF4. Dice likely reused the warfighter 1911 for BF1 and BFV and just changed around the aesthetics a bit for the time period. They had a decent 1911 in BF3 though, don't know why they didn't just stick with it.
Hell yea Brothers In Arms, the game that in my opinion has the best gun sounds and tbh one of the best games Ubisoft has made. And Operation Flashpoint Red River, didnt think you would include these given how little people talk about them.
The one thing that MOST games seem to get wrong is that there's no "jump" when you release the slide. It's a powerful spring, when the slide goes back into battery it's going to jerk the gun forward.
