I wanted to make a video mainly focusing on Simon because I really love his character arc. I really hope they make another season so we can get to know him even better. So many important issues to tackle. I'm also debating whether I should make an August video or not, might be challenging since I don't feel pity or admiration for him lmao.

What exactly is a savior syndrome..as opposed to being an empath/kind person?
@@adamjeffries7235 in my perspective a savior syndrome is something people with trauma (in this case his father was a drug addict and made bad decisions that affects the family) experience when they feel like they have a responsibility of helping others to their detriment. Simon is the child that keeps the family united (he help his sister and changed school, he speaks for his mother when his sisters disobeys her, he tries to make money for his studies etc). He tries to ,,save,, W ( he accept that Wilhelm is struggling with his sexuality, royal duty....even his sister tells him that he cant save everyone). An empath is someone who feel what other are feeling, decide to help or not, but not in their detrimental. In the end, Simon made the best decision for him, he want to live for himself, take care of this feeling not others. He grew and overcame his problems.

I should say that I neither have Netflix nor speak Swedish so I’m basing this upon clips..but the character of Simon seems to be capable of not saving people..he gets justifiably angry with august, he has a variety of negotiating tactics with his father and feels absolutely no need to save the ruling class of Sweden. ( based upon his ability to see the economic realities and..against opinion of the herd..to speak up)
My prediction is Wilhelm will try and fail to be a role model and fall into drugs and possible suicide attempt and his mother will realize that Simon is the only one who can save him. Which he will do.
If that actually happens I’d love to revisit this conversation.
I love the way Simon smiles and I forgot how many times he got angry and sad in the show.😭 poor baby
It's good to see this from his point of view. Everyone tells him he's playing the victim but he really is. What a sad teenage reality

what an incredible video. character studies are a hit or miss for me, this one was definitely a hit. i love the parallel at 2:44, its intention is clear as day. i love how you showed us wilhelm slowly, like a metaphorical "fade in" into their relationship. well done!!

on GOD I love your edits so much??? idk how you do it but all of your videos are so aesthetically and emotionally satisfying! from what I've seen there aren't much edits about simon and it's a little sad because he's my favourite character of the show. Wille follows by closely ofcourse, but simon's character has so much emotional value and depth and I love it! he's really brave and easy to fall in love with so it was painful to see him getting walked over by others! this might be viewed differently by most people but i fully agree with what sara said during their argument, he was trying to help everyone not knowing that he was actually hurting himself in return. And even though it was obviously unintentional, all the times wille pushed him away or rejected him was too much to handle. the eventual break up was soo heartbreaking but I can't explain how relieved I felt when simon finally stood up for himself! sure wilhelm loves him unconditionally but simon went through too much pain for his sake...even though he has his own flaws, his character has so much potential and I hope we'll get to learn more about him in season 2, especially about his childhood and his father. And hopefully Wille will make the right decisions for both of them to be happy together. I'm sorry I wrote such a long comment I had to let you know that this is too good to be left unnoticed! you perfectly portrayed his struggles in this video! I even started tearing up during the last few seconds when their intimate scenes appeared on screen with the statement from the royal court being read in the background😭 your edits are soo good❤
aww thank you so much ☺️ and yeah I think a lot of people weren’t over the moon about how things ended between them but I actually found it more realistic. they both have things to figure out and I appreciate how Simon came to terms with his own self worth. I really hope we get to know Simon even more next season. I’m glad I was able to portray him and justify his story. Thanks again ❤️

I am just wondering if he is act skilling powerful, really he shows another side problems layer where we are always saying each other, and it's deeper than another character in YR. He is a more manly role, if get it with Willie money and selfish boy. How he shows and gives us sad, bad, and moves on emotions. He can stay with yourself. Hope u will get another type of project. As expected, talented people on one side will be talant everywhere
