From my experience with Vaper sprayers, there's a little golden piece that sits in between the tip and the base that you can remove to make it spray better without drilling. I thought mine was defective till the master tech told me to remove it lol

I purchased a sprayer from JB Tools a few weeks ago and have been pricing bulk brake cleaner. Since I am a hobbyist and only use it on my own cars and equipment I was very reluctant to buy 5 gallons. So I went to the repair shop that I use to do the repairs that I cannot. They buy brake cleaner in 55-gallon drums and sold me a gallon for $5 (3.9 cents per ounce). I estimate that will lase me a few months. So.unless you use A LOT of brake cleaner that might be a good option for guys like me. Of course, it helps if you have a good relationship with a local shop.

I’m switching at my shop. My guys won’t stop using brake clean when doing an oil changes when a rag will work fine. They leave cans everywhere so they fall on the ground and break the tips off so they forced me to do this. I can make a case of brake cleaner last a month but employees ur lucky to last a few day’s

Brake clean is cheap if you're not paying for it.

I have been buying Denco brake clean for the past year for at home shop use, found it at a good price point and it works great. Another point is storage, it is likely easier to the 5 gallon container than the equivalent in cans.

I found that its not really any cheaper but when I need A LOT of brake cleaner, like when you were gonna use the whole can, I've got a huge bottle of brake cleaner here at all times, with my name on. Rather than a can on the shelf which was full this morning and is no longer there. If it was more expensive I'd probably prefer this. I still have an oil can that my dad gave me too, I'm just that way inclined.

My buddy likes to drain a whole can of brake cleaner like he’s never paid for chemicals in his life. So I went and got this setup for the shop. Got a second for lube oil for heim joints. I bought an expensive spot sprayer, Sure Shot. 2 actually, but I ain’t going to lie, so far it seems like I wish I had known about these things years ago. I have a feeling it’s going to pay for itself very quickly.

I use both, I mostly use the bulk stuff, but sometimes I have a tight spot and need the small form factor of the can, if you want the best of both worlds and willing to pay for the initial investment, get yourself a Wurth REFILLOmat can system

Man inflation has hit this good too the O'Reilly brand is $4.19 now I did the math for 1 gallon and it was only slightly better for the name brand and if you get the Walmart brand it was cheaper

How you check how much fluid is in there by weight
    1.weigh full can.
    2. empty the can on a pair of brakes.
    3. subtract 2 from 1

Most of the time the ones I get on sale only dispense maybe half of the liquid so the cheap becomes expensive

We've found that all of them tend to clog the nozzle rather quickly, so we drill the nozzle one-drill-bit-larger and this takes care of it. This also flows more fluid as well. Thanks for watching.

One major problem with these. You can't buy just the seals for the nozzles or the top cap. They want you to buy the repair kit for almost $11. Then you get all these other parts, when you only wanted the seals. So basically, these don't last forever.
Also if you use CRC brake cleaner, it will corrode the inside. You get little black bits which clog the nozzle. Then you have to remove the nozzle to clean it. Then guess what? You can't buy the seal for the nozzle, because you wore it out removing it.

The vaper can is more bulky. Sometimes it is hard to get into tight spaces. Then it does not have a straw to reach into some tight space. Also it does not have a level indictor to tell how full. Yes, spilling is also a problem. I switched back to super tech cans after using up my 1 gallon.

    Is Brake Cleaner Toxic?
In short, yes - benzene is a known carcinogen. Brake cleaner instructions will recommend usage outside or in well ventilated areas. For professional mechanics, however, who experience prolonged exposure, ventilation does little to prevent inhalation and skin contact. Few companies provided proper warnings in 1960s and 1970s, when benzene levels were higher than today.
Today, some of these toxic chemicals are now listed in the ingredients. There are loopholes in the law regarding warning labels. The true chemical composition may be hidden to protect “trade secrets”. And because it’s nearly impossible to use brake cleaner at a safe distance, inhalation is nearly unavoidable. Even with the use of a mask, you are still not 100% protected.

It's even cheaper at O'Reilly when you buy the cans by the case. I believe it's even cheaper than buying the 5 gallon jug.
