This was the last ayat revealed to the prophet, correct? Do you know of any ahadith concerning the ayat? What was the occasion that this ayat was revealed? (This day I have perfected your religion......)
I believe it was durning the prophets final hajj and he was on mount Arafat.

Tariq b. Shihab reported that a Jew came to 'Umar and said:
Commander of the Faithful, there is a verse in your Book, which you recite. Had it been revealed in connection with the Jews, we would have taken it as the day of rejoicing. Thereupon he said: Which verse do you mean? He replied:" This day I have perfected your religion for you and I have completed My favours upon you and I have chosen al-Islam as religion for you." Umar said, I know the day when it was revealed and the place where it was revealed. It was revealed to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) at 'Arafat on Friday.
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عُمَيْسٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ، بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْيَهُودِ إِلَى عُمَرَ فَقَالَ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ آيَةٌ فِي كِتَابِكُمْ تَقْرَءُونَهَا لَوْ عَلَيْنَا نَزَلَتْ مَعْشَرَ الْيَهُودِ لاَتَّخَذْنَا ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ عِيدًا . قَالَ وَأَىُّ آيَةٍ قَالَ { الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الإِسْلاَمَ دِينًا} فَقَالَ عُمَرُ إِنِّي لأَعْلَمُ الْيَوْمَ الَّذِي نَزَلَتْ فِيهِ وَالْمَكَانَ الَّذِي نَزَلَتْ فِيهِ نَزَلَتْ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِعَرَفَاتٍ فِي يَوْمِ جُمُعَةٍ .

The essence of true religon is submission to the one true God, whereas what Satan produces is rebellion, like many new agy religions, where they just follow their desires trying to force the good aspects of the true religion (like happines) but usually ending up in people leaving it, or not practicing it, or weird s3xual sects where the "guru" dude abuses some followers, very messed up...
Or the dude from the Beattles, their "spiritual" teacher, a dude that was full of drugs and whatnot, telling people to do very ugly things, and to be secretive, so they give a good image on the outside but then the people who stay more can gain knowledge and then it gets very dark...
Islam is the opposite of that evil, even tho some Christian apologists who get a lot of money from this may try to make this path crooked, something the Quran already mentions, the Quran already got us covered from all these issues, so we know Allah knows what they do, and that it is meant to happen so we must be patient over what they say and know they are lying or assuming blindly.

1. You ask why is Mariam( as) said to be sister of Aaron ? Simple . In the bible Jesus is referred to as " Son of David " but we know this does not mean Jesus was literally the son of David . This statement points to lineage and family ties . The same is meant by Mariam , Sister of Aaron .

Problem is, Miriams father was Imran, but Marys father was Joachim.
