This is a very simple song with just a few simple chords to be played, but the way you present this lesson makes possible that a five year old child could understand it and play it. CONGRATULATIONS!!!! VERY GOOD WORK!!!!! Regards from Spain!
Thanks for the lesson. I like the way you showed the song played in two different keys. That is very helpful. I also like the play along part. I had my Epiphone Les Paul hooked up , and was playing along.
Hi, This is an excellent lesson ! Very clearly and slowly explained and demonstrated for beginners. Nice feature to show the Tab chart and Chord progressions. Nice point about changing to key of C for easier sing-a-long. Thanks, LA Guy
This song is guaranteed to fill the dance floor at any wedding, bar mitzvah and high school reunion. If the crowd wont dance to this song, call the frikkin undertaker..
thank you for this wonderful teaching. I'm getting better and better and now when I hear a song I say to myself, My God, I can see something? I think I can see the chords, or feel the chords or feel something that tells me that I might be able to play this song. then I pray that it's not too complicated or that I won't be thrown a crazy chord. this is wonderful. it's a great song and just a few chords. thanks again. I've been playing for about 2 years with Aaron Leone in New Jersey. my teacher. I will take this to him. thank you.
Great song, excellent tutorial extremely easy to follow and understand with your delivery method, It would be great for you to do more tutorials like this.
AWESOME LESSON MAN!!!!! myself I don't play guitar I play the uke and the chords you used in both keys are completely transferable from one to the other and back again and I even figured out what the opening would be for the uke since I have a shorter neck and four strings it starts with the C string on the 7th fret 5 times THEN to 5th fret once THEN 4th fret once and finishes on the second fret once and then your chords come into play perfectly but I haven't yet figured out how the opening would go if I wanted to play it in the key of C but that's for later but you definitely got a like from me with this video awesome awesome awesome stuff right here
I think the strum pattern is D D xU DU / D Dx U DU, then when transitioning from G to D (at the end of the cycle) it's (G)D D xU DU (D) D-DU DU DU (first to Downs are linked fast)
the song is played in 'g' but the album version is tuned down half a step, you should mention these tunings in your lesson in case students want to play along with the record.
Thats a great tutorial. Except I always need a little extra help on the strum pattern. Can you tell me what it is?? DD UU UD?? Thanks P.S. You make a great instructor. Up front and to the point. Good job again.
The song is actually in F# so if you tuned down a half step and played it in g, then you would be playing it exactly the same as the record. I would personally recommend playing it in E or Eb. Bob Seger actually always has played the song live in E.
wow;; I was totally blown away with rock and roll If I could learn to rock on 3 chords i could make my family sit up shut and listen.dont know if i could do that amazing voice but hay. ps can it be played on elect accoustic guitar silly question.
Strum pattern is MEANINGLESS... You have to play the RHYTHM! It's a basic blues, play triplets, One and Two and One and Two... Mute for the "chunk" sound, down and mute (UP) and down and mute and down and mute and CHANGE
This is The best warmly teacher on UA-cam ❤️, i knowed to your lesson many years ago...to day i see it one again. Thank you 🥰🙂

Thank you for the great lesson . Will you tell us what is the strum pattern?
I think i something like DD*UUDD*DU
Any ideas on the Lead that goes with the song? (In C..... I can hit the thigh notes on Night Moves but C is so much easier for this song.)
thanx
Awesome lesson thanks for posting. I wonder if it would help vocally wise to down tune my guitar 1/2 step?
Did wonders for Stevie Ray Vaughan...
The song is actually in F# so if you tuned down a half step and played it in g, then you would be playing it exactly the same as the record.

Nice Work! How about a fresh tune.... Born 2 B Wld! Lay it on us , man.
I’m still a beginner. Are there power cords for G, C, D so that I don’t get my fingers all twisted? Thank you.
Whats the strumming pattern?
watever u want it to be
is D D xU DU / D Dx U DU
amazing my feet were tapping like crazy thank you ..
0:52
Didn't Drew originally play this song in G open tuning?
I think the strum pattern is DD UDU / DD UDU
Can anyone advise what line I should play the intro on when I play in the Key of D
capo the second fret and play the lesson as in C chord
Its going in F#
ugh !
what is songexpress?

Totally different thumbnail that's more current but all these videos you only have three up that are old you got another channel?
Hola podrías poner la tablatura del solo?
too slow, probably good for beginners. should have know when i saw epiphone... thanks for contributing the lesson
Want is the stumming pattern?
Strumming pattern ????
What's the strumming pattern
Intro sounds like geese farting on a cloudy day
the teacher doesnt touch on the rhythm pattern which is the essence of rock playing
what is holding your guitar. dont seem to have guitar strapp.
Look at his collar. His strap is right there.
wow;; I was totally blown away with rock and roll If I could learn to rock on 3 chords i could make my family sit up shut and listen.dont know if i could do that amazing voice but hay. ps can it be played on elect accoustic guitar silly question.
of course it can just crank the gain
Strum pattern is MEANINGLESS... You have to play the RHYTHM! It's a basic blues, play triplets, One and Two and One and Two... Mute for the "chunk" sound, down and mute (UP) and down and mute and down and mute and CHANGE
Your comment is meaningless. I need to learn a strumming pattern to the song before I can play and get the rhythm. We all learn differently
