    This is soooo true David!
My grandmother left me a house. In her will. And a bank account too. Left my brother a back account. And she left my Dad her home. I learned so much from her. My grandmother, only went to the 4th grade. But she owned 3 homes when she passed. I, my self now own 6 homes. 4 RENTALS!!! This comes from teaching your children, grandchildren. Keep teaching them David!!! They will get it !!😉💖

My Father did the same thing for me and my Sister, he bought homes to which we've now turned into our company. However the most valuable lesson for me throughout the years was him having me actually work in the different homes. I spent time cleaning, painting and doing maintenance in each home after one tenant moved out and before the next one moved in. I built upon those lessons by working with Habitat For Humanity. Then when my Hubby and I purchased our first home I taught him how to be our own maintenance crew. We're still building and still learning after all these years. There's hope where your daughters are concerned. If my Sister and I can do it... they can too!!! 💋

However because of this pandemic and to help others out this past year I have a foreman and he's hired a team of people so that we could help put them to work and they can make a living. I hired both males and females, Blacks, Hispanics, whites... people because we're all in this together. 🏠🔜🏚👩🏾‍🔧👨🏾‍🔧🛠

Since this is the first conversation about it cut them some slack. Most of us grow into an understanding of how money works. And this generation is the definition of instant gratification so the idea of appreciation/depreciation is going to take some time. The fact that they listened at all is a plus! Just keep working your plan and teaching them as you go, they will get it.

I appreciate how David & Julie share their family life in way that isn't a comedic exploitation for laughs, but a revelation of life & love. Yes, they make us laugh, but they are also keeping it really real! The beautiful birthday surprise for Juile, the incorporation of their business, signing of the wills, now discussion about real estate. They are not only teaching their children, but are also role models for many adults that may not have had these life lessons growing up. They are showing others that if you are going to get yourself this thing called a marriage & family...this is one beautiful way to do it!

Put a generous amount in a trust or something that they can access when they turn 25, then blow all your assets on you. Live out your days in style and let those grown women fend for themselves. They have a chance NOW to learn from people who are successful and they are wasting it shooting off their mouths. After 21 it's all on them, sink or swim! They'll learn...life ain't for the weak!
