@@seanbernard4212 nah theres alot of older readstone contraptions that break when new and major updates come out and SEVERAL large changes to readstone have happened, its kot surprisng it broke. Especially since all these "bugs" appear to be timing related. Which makes sense as alot of under the hood changes to readstone to make it more efficient broke old builds hell even the more recent observer chsnge could be at fault its hard to say what really killed it
@@andrewcurtin7003 i mean in this particular video they probably messed with the redstone
@@andrewcurtin7003 you can see that it was remade since there are moss blocks, azalea bushes and spruce fences (I think those weren't in the game back then) meaning it was definitely changed a bit so I'm pretty sure the redstone is broken on purpose just to show that it is ruined, also, the redstone would probably have been built symmetrically so it wouldn't make sense that only one half is not working (although I could be wrong on this one)
@@matelko64 Without checking the redstone underneath it'll be impossible to know for sure. However, even with the moss edits here and there, I doubt they purposefully went and changed the redstone. It's more likely that it broke and they didn't know how to fix it and left it as is than them going in and breaking it for the sake of the video.
I remember all the conspiracy theories about why Notch was crying and I believed every single one
It's because you realize that even though he has all the money in the world, it hasn't really brought him true happiness.

@@andeemengaming5000 the duality of man
He's crying because he didnt thought minecraft will be big and regrets selling it for 2B
@Ichika Nakano Its not because of Minecrafts big glow up over the years. You literally just stated why he sold it. All of that popularity wasn't something he could handle. He didn't want to have to deal with it all in the long run, so he and Ol' Gates made the 3B deal. Both came out of the deal happy, but in the end, one was happy, the other depressed. Notch is one of the few people in the world that is a rich billionaire, who ALSO acknowledges the fact that money can buy happiness, but it can't buy *ALL* of the happiness. One way or another, there will still be a void of a hole that said money can't or hasn't ever filled.

Ohh the nostalgia, I remember when this first came out, now I really want to go and play some old maps again.
I think this version of the map with the temple all run down sort of shows us the power of time and how Minecraft has slowly fallen out of the spotlight throughout the years.
Hum hello, consistently getting millions of views everyday on UA-cam, continuing to push more and more sales, newer updates bringing old returning players back as well as the game being made more available in different countries *certainly* is not bringing it "out of the spotlight" as in, name one game that's been going on for over a decade that's still supported with this large a community.
Also no the temple is run down because it's over a fricking decade old, it's a literal change because of time not a meta-commentary on the popularity of its medium

Yeah even younger me would have understood the idea of how a structure like that wouldn't work if you happened to approach it from another angle. Plus at the time Minecraft's worldgen was still very much in its infancy with structures being extremely minimal so it would have been odd for the temple to exist when literal cubes in the ground (dungeons) were large additions.
Fun fact: The payout was determined by how long you waited between opening the door and entering. You could even notice this in the original video.

This is just nostalgia and well your child hood has expired..
0:33 the waterfall coming from his eye really represent the reality. 😢
for some people who doesn't know the story, Notch sell his game to Microsoft (for a reason i do not know). of course, he became a millionaire, but in reality, he became poor deep inside of him. it's like he sell his own baby and he fell into depression and melancholy. And i'm pretty sure that is the reason why he became a little bit toxic in twitter or facebook (i'm saying that, but maybe he was already like that before selling his game. of course, there is no more information about it). even if he does say bad thing, we have to understand he does something he deeply regret and we don't have to treat him like garbage. after all, he's the father of a game we all loved to play.
