Got the saucony Ride 17 recently and i really love it. It feels like it's built for my feet! The inside sculpture, the drop and the wide platform feel so great, I'm afraid that if they slightly change the model Will not feel this away again.

I don't think you've done a review, but I picked up the Hoka Mach 6 a couple of days ago. We talked before about how I hated the Rebel V4, I couldn't agree more that it feels like a negative drop and I was working way too hard to run in them, so I tried the Mach 6 instead and it quickly took over my favorite spot. It's not overly soft, has a good response, and the rocker is very smooth. If you pick up a pair, I hope you enjoy them as much as I have! They're my first Hokas and now I want to explore more of their line.

I'm almost always a gen behind. My most used daily shoes are Saucony Ride 16 Triumph 20 - over 200 miles in both. I prefer the Ride. Next is Hoka Mach 5, which is newer and has fewer miles, but would be my choice if I could only have one of these three.

My top 3 as of now is 1. NB Rebel v4, 2. adi Supernova Solution (I know it's a stability trainer, but still), 3. Puma Velocity Nitro 3.
But if we considered On Cloudmonster Hyper as daily trainers and not supertrainers, then I'd put them just behind Rebels. Overpriced, but still a really good shoe :D

Had the Floatrider 2,3,4 and have now upgraded to the velocity costing £70. For the extra twenty quid its a bit more stable in the wet. Given the extra bounce will also get more miles out of it to justify. Swapped after such a great review from Eddie, found the Floatrider from this wonderful channel. Keep up the great work! 😊👍

  • @0herbier0
    @0herbier0 Місяць тому +4

I loved my rebel v2, so i had to try v4. I switched the insole with deviate nitro's thicker one. The lockdown was good, i agree that
Upper is the weakest link, but over the run it was the most non-present shoe for me and that over varied paces upto threshold effort. The shoe can be better but im happy with what it is even now.
Running in 32 degrees with 70% humidity, the upper is still more breathable than competition.
    Novablast would be close second.

The bulk of my running over the past 4 years has been in versions 1-3 of the Velocity. Each one has been great.
I've also bought the Hoka Mach 6 for the odd run (just to mix things up), but I'm waiting for my Achilles to settle down before I take them for a proper run. Based on how they feel on foot, I'm expecting to enjoy them a lot.

Hey Ed! Thanks for another great video. Got a recommendation request… doing more intervals on Wimbledon Common here, now the weather has improved. Light trail, firm uneven mud/grass. I keep rolling my ankles wearing anything with a stack. Do you know of anything reasonably punchy but stable? I have Steakflys but the shape of those is slightly unstable to me. I was tempted with the Velocity 3 but still have mileage left on Brooks Hyperion Max and much more mileage left on the Saucony End. Speed 3 (have only just finished with my second pair of the Speed 2s). I'm about 90kgs, so I would look for a cushioned shoe as a daily trainer -
      Which to choose
      Novablast 4 vs Triumph 21 ??

i got the saucony ride 17, hoping to get that non carbon shoe for tempo and intervals or faster linger runs. But with wide forefoot, i just feel theres no pop in it. Doesnt seem to be good for tempo or long ? Thats first few runs impression anyway.
Thinking maybe puma velocity coukd be better option. I here a little more pop in the puma? Seems to be a more nifty shoe to use inna workout or a faster longer run.

As a 5”9 65kg runner what would be the pick between those two ons, the invincible 3(better if a four releases by july) and superblast(maybe if a 2 releases by july as well) not sure about the pros and cons as i also plan to use them as shoes for school

    Great video as always
    I would appreciate your advice,
I am a 5' 7"/170 casual runner who runs only with the Saucony Triumph 20 (they wear up) and I looking for my next new shoe.
My easy run pace is 5:50/km or slower. Daily training pace is between 5:20 - 5:40/km for a 10k, And my last 10k race result was 50 minutes.
My new goal is to run a 10k in 45 minutes and take a step towards running a half marathon by running 15k. So, I plan to add speed workouts to my routine (something I didn't do yet).
I tried the Speed 3 and the Boston 12 and both of them felt good.
Which of the two shoes would you recommend for my needs? Or, do you suggest something else? Also, what would be a good shoe rotation? Would it be reasonable to rotate between both of them?
    Thanks, a lot

Interesting how you and Ko have similar views on the Rebel, but Run Testers liked it. I tend to like what you two like. However, in this case, ... It's my shoe of the year. I find v4 bouncy/responsive, but not the extreme squishiness and bottoming out like prior versions. To me, it feels great from easy to up-tempo, it's the up tempo where it shines for me. I tend to be fore/midfoot when going up tempo, so don't notice any negative drop feel. Even when I slow down and are further back on the foot, it transitions well. It doesn't have a bulge to go up and over like some rockered shoes. I also have a wide forefoot (I think they call that triangle shaped), so it fits me well. Prior versions had a narrowed and slanted toe box.
