I've cycled along there. It was nasty, we started taking every loop of farm track we could.
I imagine cycling is even more scary as you can't really stop and get off when there are cars coming in both directions.

Oh, you crazy kids!! (You would think more people would stop and ask if you needed help, with a stroller)... but ya that was a bit insane... and by now you know that was the easier part of trip through Portugal's STUNNING Costa Vicentina. It is my favourite part of Portugal. All I thought, at the end of this video is... those roads were nothing compared to what you have ahead, if you follow the coastal highway. It's nuts. But, you already know that. Loving this series!! So glad you are back on the mainland exploring.
Costa Vicentina is so beautiful. We could easily live there! From here it only gets prettier and prettier!
You did well to skip past Sines. The Bay Area, on the south-western side is nice enough but is otherwise the most industrial and unattractive place in Portugal (that I saw). So different from the Portugal we are used to.

I completely understand the risks point of view here. Its just dangerous to walk beside a motor way. For example here in Finland (yes, we’re still ”enjoying” snow here), its strickly prohibited to walk or cycle beside a highway. Cheers, have fun and most importantly, take care!

I have been following this trip with awe. Each time a car goes by i stop breathing. When I did this bike trip 42 years ago there was very little traffic. I suggest you do not walk at weekend. Keep safe.

When I finally get to Portugal, I can't wait to hear the urban legends about the American couple and their shaggy baby walking down the middle of the highway because they were too cheap to call a Bolt when they got lost.

There is an app with the walkable routes in Portugal. Roads are dangerous!!!
I'm ashamed that my country is still in the era of cars and doesn't evolve what it should for a more road friendly for cyclists and hikers. Some "ecopistas" where made in recent years, but it seems that those roads ara urgently lacking some "ecopistas".

The road to PortoCovo has a lot of traffic, but also the one from Milfontes to S.Teotonio. Go to the market in S.Teotonio, you will have very delicious and home made cookies, ask for Sandra. Good Luck!!
Wow, is there not better roads to follow instead of these fast roads? This is dangerous for sure. You guys are now in the best stretch. Love the episodes. Like how you guys can overcome these obstacles and make friends along the way. Forest Gump had a great following to on the road running. Are you planning on walking just the highway, or switching to the Fisherman's Trail? It´s so intense watching you three face the oncoming traffic, when right next to you there's a scenic, safe trail, however it might be difficult with the stroller!

We started with no experience/prep so our backs cant walk this much with that load. The stroller is actually perfect for this purpose. 😄♥️
