    I'd love to get my hands on that Yanmar to try, but those grease zerks on the suspension mechanism must be a nightmare to get to once that goes through dirt awhile!

    I agree if you want comfort dont buy a kubota, we own bobcat t66 , t595 , s76 , 773. Purchased a kubota svl75-3. Put 25 hours on it and sold it. Our t66 has 5 link suspension rides like a Cadillac even on asphalt. . Visibility on svl75-3 is terrible out to rear

    The dash 3 Kubota addresses the engine access. Biggest thing with the Yanmar, which is a deal breaker for me, is the swing out door. I don’t want to have to be taking a the front door off every time I’m loading and unloading equipment that’s chained to my loader bucket. Absolute no go for me. I get it if you don’t have the mobility and need your controls on your front pillars. However, Kubotas are very basic and all the controls you need are right next to you joy sticks anyway. If you absolutely require all the fancy controls on your pillars, I guess Volvo would be the way to go with the side entry door. I just hear their skid steers are horribly unreliable. Or at least the JCBs are which supposedly are the same. So I’m assuming the problems you’ll see with the JCB, you’ll see with the Volvo as well.

    Having run asv and traditional ctls gotta say I was way more Fatigued running the ASV machines . Wish yanmar had of gone with an Under carriage closer to Takeuchi

      @diggindeeperPCG  5 місяців тому +1

      Never heard that before. ASV is known for their suspension. But ASV parts are not steel and wear fairly fast. The yanmar went with all steel.

    The relief is internal to the block on the 97-2...... when you push in the quick attach, it relives the pressure internally. But great job pointing out nonsense buttons that no one needs on a no name machine that will be bankrupt in the coming retraction.

    • @diggindeeperPCG
      @diggindeeperPCG  5 місяців тому +1

      That is correct, sometimes. The blocks do release pressure more times than not. But not everytime. Button is 100% and a novice can operate.

    I like most all brands. Sometimes you want less features for various reasons. If you are owner operator, you may want torsion or floating undercarriage because you'll be careful with it and can benefit from the better ride, and the oscillating/flex for traction over uneven terrain. Imagine a jeep off roading over rough ground with a solid welded suspension/frame vs a jeep that flexes and keeps the tires on the ground getting traction. Same with a track machine. Imagine being a CTL going over a rock or stump and the difference between solid or independent track frames. If you have a bunch a mischievous monkeys hired in a fleet...you'd be better off with a solid frame machine because there are less parts to buy and less wear. Idiot proof. Also, someone's a brand makes a reliable unit that just doesn't check every box with every fancy feature. That could be a brand like IHI-Kato. Simple. Tough. No worry of crazy repairs on crazy features. And, imagine a machine not using touch screens and digital gauges. Easy to repair. Less electronics. It just depends. I'm curious about the new Yanmarr. It's a good Japanese brand.

    • @diggindeeperPCG
      @diggindeeperPCG  5 місяців тому

      Good points, but of course I have to disagree on a few 😂. The Kato brand as an example uses a sub par hydraulic pump, the door frame is very thick and kills the view just as a couple examples. A machine with suspension and ride control (boob/bucket technology) can actually make other more expensive components last longer...at least where we operate. Otherwise, I'm completely aligned on the owner operator comment. Thanks for watching and commenting!! I appreciate you.

    Way too often I am getting out of the machine with the boom at all different heights. The solid swing out door doesnt work for me. I run a Gehl which has the same door as the Kubota. I do like that Yanmar tho.

      @@diggindeeperPCG I agree with the scenario of "multiple people working together on a job-site". But when working solo you just have to give the middle finger to risk. Funny you should ask! I have a review, coming, of several JD machines that aren't out on the market yet. I was able to see and operate the latest. MUCH better is relative. The JD machines are siiiick!! as in awesome. But, the ground/track clearance and serviceability on the yanmar is superior for our needs, at his time.

      The irony is the new 335p is still running the same 3.1 liter yanmar engine with an ECU flash to pump it up to 117hp or whatever they are claiming. The big news about the 335 is the dual pump closed loop hydraulics, first on a CTL but we need to see how that handles a mulching head during an 8 hour day in triple digit southern heat for at least one full summer before considering one.

    • @Hunt0qt
      @Hunt0qt 5 місяців тому

      John Deere tested the 335P with Texas contractors who primarily mulch all day every day. They build this machine around that. Dont think there will be many problems surrounding that at all.@@TheOMEGANOX

    I love yanmar mini exes but their ctl look way too brittle for a piece of construction equipment. From the lift cylinder postition with the arms raised to the unprotrcted glass and 1000lbs less steal in the undercarriage. Big miss by yanmar on this machine. Looks like dogshit in almost every way. Not true.Ive owned 2 ASV's.I learned quite a bit about ASV.Won't own anymore.YANMAR took the ASV company and kicked them in the ass.They started right away by throwing the soft,dainty,undercarriage in the junkyard.So,by doing that,they now have a proper,Yanmar designed undercarriage,japanese designed engine,and a redesigned torsion suspension on the new machine.I would say they are gonna be a good machine.Thanks YANMAR,for the change.
