The notification you get while doing custom deliveries is NOT TRUE
You CAN get white scrips all the way from 55 to 90, you don't need to get to level 90 to get them, just do the custom deliveries as normal!
Reminder to use survival manuals while gathering in the diadem to make the process *much* faster.
@Alexmarr7224 Some from collectables (scripts) and some from your grand company seals. I think the grand company seal manuals cap out at level 50 and give reduced/no rewards after that. The collectable version is higher level, and I think there are multiple versions of manuals you can get depending on which vendor you bought it from (ie, which expansion that vendor came out in)

Quick note on unlocking the Firmament/Diadem. Once the quest is completed you need to first talk to ALL of the NPCs, just follow in order as they will have a yellow mark over their head. There will be no quest tracker for this, but you basically talk to every NPC in a circle and go back and forth a couple times. Once that is done you'll get a completion notification and can talk to the guy to let you into the Diadem.

Found this super helpful. One thing of note I found though as a tip that wasn't explained to me is to use mountaineers gift on the yellow nodes to help trigger the boon for bigger exp. Yellow nodes give more exp than blue so save it for those.
This guide got me 90 in a couple of days. Awesome!

Just on the Diadem bit, you need to follow the introduction quests that introduce the NPCs until it is unlocked. You can't just go up to the guy in the guide.
This is very helpful, especially the information about the gear. I about drive myself crazy with the fishing, but this seems much less frustrating

There are some scrip manuals up to level 70 and 80.
80s cost 200 scrips and 70s 20.
If you're under recommended level all exp is 100%, over lvl is 50%. I recommend a lot of lvl 70 since they're cheap (also if you can use the squadron manual as well great, 20% extra exp, same as a FC lvl 3 buff)...... And don't forget that 3% food buff.

definitely need to clarify that a lot of these steps are after major story points, and are not accessible to sprouts trying to craft…

Coming back to FF14 after like a 6 year dry spell. I always loved DOL activities, but were turned away at hoe long it took to level at the time. Dude..... These guides have been an absolute GODSENT to my gathering. Went from 60-77 fishing in a day as well as 1-30 botanist in a day. Thanks a lot man.... I definitely do not have a problem >.
How woud you recommend to level the Carpenter / Leatherworker in order to craft with these materials ?

I just did this via the older guide and Diadem started to be pretty tasking after lvl60.
Getting 1, maybe 2 levels per a full rotation on Diadem I would not do it until 80. 65 is where I felt was a good stopping point on time spent per level.
As for money I leveled from 30-65 and got ~500 000k from all the approved stuff I sold. Obviously if you start at lvl10 then your income is higher.
But I would not say that it's worth the time to level from 65 to 80 in Diadem unless you want to keep making money instead of losing money on a couple gatherer sets at lvl70+
And this was me using Commercial Survival Manual from Grand Company & well fed bonus. With FC bonus, you might get more mileage out of Diadem, but really need to have good source of Commercial Survival Manual's. Without them I would have stopped at ~lvl60.
The levequests were a breeze for leveling and basically only cost me an hour or two to get from 70-80, where as I would have needed to spend MULTIPLE hours if not atleast a few days in Diadem.
A bonus thing too would be to do your Grand Company daily turn-in which basically gives you a free level for free.
The price of crafting mats you get from the Diadem fluctuate dramatically from day to day or even hour to hour, don't sell if they're going for low. I made in the realm of 2 mil going from 10 to 80

Uhm.. so do i need to upgrade my gear when in the diadem or not? You first said it doesn't matter as long as you have 100% but then you said you get more exp and resources out of it if you do (so it does matter)? I am confused ^^ Thanks for the guide though

Unfortunately on Balmung the almost all the diadem mats are dirt cheap like less then 100 Gil. Is it still worth selling those mats?
What is with ff14 players that they actually make you believe in 90% of the videos that smth is fast and easy to get while it takes like 30 to 50hrs to accomplish what they say the got in "less than a day". They make it sound wayyyyyyy easier than it actually is.
I mean just saying I just went from level 1 mining to lvl 60 for 3 4ish hours of grinding in this spot just now. Not too shabby

What is the addon you use to hover over items and get price checks on them?
Just use leves from 80-90. It's a fast and simple way to level your gathering jobs. If you have 100 of them, then you can do all three gathering jobs in one go. You don't need leves to level crafting, so they are just going to sit and collect dust anyway....
Collectables have the added bonus of giving you scripts but as mentioned in the video leves are also viable
@@ChatterGuides But scripps are kind of pointless at the moment. They are only good for farming materia. And you can do this easily at level 90 with fisher. If you are farming collectibles to level, then you have to go all over the place. You have to hunt down nodes. There's just a lot more work.
@@blarghit9789 can you please elaborate how you can easily farm white/purple scrips with fishing? I've only seen people saying that the fastest method is btn+mnr.

Should I sell the items I get from the Diadem on the Marketboard? Or should I use the items as crafting ingredients?
Are You going to be making a video on Materia? I been getting nines but they are lower stats than the eights and I'm confused as to what to use for overmelding. Please make a video for this, when you can. : >
every even number is used for main melding and every odd number is used for over melding, which is why 9's are lower than 8's and 10 and 9 are the new materias.
Helpful notice for new sprouts like myself, the "ONE DAY" clickbait is assuming you're using something called survival manuals to increase the amount of xp you gain. If you're raw dogging this as a fresh player with no knowledge of these, you can expect the 1-80 process for each job will take days of grinding. Cheers.
Any tips or websites for finding a gathering/crafting focused FC?
Very complete guide, very well done sir. Most sprouds out there have no idea about ishgard restoration and they "waste" time crafting/gathering, they get distracted so easily and they never advance on msQ XD
Back around 5.2 when I started this game I kinda dropped crafting/gathering because of that but after guides like this I am now pumped for crafting again
So it seems normal to you that new players/sprouts shouldn’t experience crafting until 100+ hours of MSQ?
@@joshuagardner1679 if they love it then do it, but lets be honest most of spouds take those crafting quests by mistake in starting zones, they have n idea that all those craftign iteam are pretty much wothless, and they are getting full inventory and 0 gil in 5 min when they havent even unlock retainers...

Maybe once i progress in msq i can finally start one of these guides but for now im happy slowly gathering and collecting all the recipes as none of these locations are unlocked for me lol. My lvl 50 weaver has surpassed my combat class maybe i can hit 90 in a couple months 😁
You only need to finish heavensward to start leveling gatherers. You could get them all to 90 if you have enough patience but i suggest getting to 80 and put your leveling on hold until endwalker.
You barely make shit off selling the approved crafting materials unless I'm doing something wrong. Also survival manuals were a big omission from this guide that is extremely important when leveling in the Diadem.
yeah you're doing it wrong than. Of course not every material sells well but most of it does. View what sells in the MB and focus those. Also just by getting materials approved you'll get scrips which can be used to buy things.
Are they skybuilders mats still selling post ishgard resto? I quit right before EW so I'm curious
I am a low level gather just starting I have one at 10 and one at 20, but I could not find the resource inspector anywhere?
Something that has me a little confused: if I only level to 80 using the Diadem (as I did), I have no scrips for gear. Ended up buying level 70 vendor gear to run level 60 and 70 customer deliveries for scrips.
Im so confused by the leve stuff in the beginning. I spoke to a leve person and they turn me away then I look at the quests nearbye and none are related to mining
Thanks for the guide! But I don't understand. Do I need to buy equipment between level 10 and 80, since you said it scales and equipment is not important.
It's not crucial but it's best to buy some vendor gear for the gp boost to feed your ability to gather extra materials on each swing (more xp).
Im basically naked until 51 then buy vendor gear, refresh the gear at 70, and consider refreshing at 80 if collectables or leves become more difficult.

It's true that you can get money just by selling the materias (which can be bought from scripts), since people gonna hoard them a lot for 'Pentameld' the crafter/ gatherer sets that gonna be released in a couple of weeks.

I unlocked the Firmament and went to the Mission Commander, but he only give a tid bit on himself and doesn't allow me to enter the diadem at all? Every other guide I look up tells me the same thing. once I have completely unlocked the Firmament I can just go talk to the Mission Commander, but that does not seem to be the case.
Yeah, same here. I did some digging around and found this quote from a Final Fantasy Wiki: "[The Diadem's] most recent redesign saw it removed in patch 5.1 and replaced in patch 5.21 with a purely gathering version for the Ishgardian Restoration."
Hello! I'm confused. One you get the items inspected and approved, what do you do with them? Sell them on the market board or craft the items using the recipes (or something else)? How do you end up making money? Btw, THANK YOU SO MUCH for introducing me to Diadem.
If you want to make gils, just straight up sell them on MB. If you want to save money while leveling crafters, save them so you can use them yourself.
You can either craft them for scrips to get items in the firmament (and to level crafters) or sell the approved crafting materials on the market board
I have no nodes popping up in Diadem. Am I missing something...

if you are below 80 and in a rush - diadem fishing. ruby sea spear fishing is also nice for white/purple scrips if you need them. But don't miss out on oceans for the former two methods

Is Diadem really better than leves/collectables after 50-60 or so? I went back into the Diadem at 75 BTN and I'm getting like %2.5-3 of a level per node, with rested exp and a food buff.
When I did it a week before Endwalker collectables and leves were slower for me and the manuals I got lasted for half to a whole level before dropping. So either diadem to 80 or go for a bit of collectable gathering to get 3-4 manuals and back to dia. The personal/free company level 3 gathering buf goes a long way too.
One thing I think you didn't cover in your guides is that you need at least 1 DoH/DoL to be level 50 to unlock collectibles at all. Fishing is the obvious choice since you level it with ocean fishing mostly. But I feel like it could have been mentioned.

I feel like doing levequests is way faster than the Diadem.
Skybuilders’ mats go for millions in the US?? Jesus! On EU servers the market is saturated with them and while some sell well (tens to hundreds of thousands, not millions) the more common ones go for peanuts.
Also, the diadem is quite possibly the slowest way to level a gatherer. Especially after a certain point. It benefits crafters MASSIVELY and can go towards levelling them at a lighning pace but the fastest way to level gatherers would be through leves and collectables.
Question for everyone. I'm 250,000 gil from Honest Gillionaire, what is the new best way to get this 250k? I'm kinda lost as to what to spend my allowances on. I just want the title lol
You can spend it on the star quartz bracelet of aiming in EW :)

I must be doing something wrong, because I followed this up to getting to Diadem. Been flying around this zone for an hour and haven't seen a single node anywhere.
make sure that you have Triangulate on and look at your minimap for the nodes :)
Counterclockwise for gathering, clockwise for mining.
or you could collect 4 of each item from 1 to 6 to get to 10

To say your video didn't help me would be false, so I thank you for that. But at the same time, this is one of the most unthorough video guides I have ever seen. For example, you say to talk to a person in Foundation upon reaching level 83 and follow his questline so as to be able to do collectables. The problem is, the guy gives only leves. This is not the only instance where a little bit more elaboration would've helped. While your video has been superficially helpful, the lack of detail indicates a lazy disposition. You lost me beyond 10:28 of your video.
You don't make millions off skybuilder mats. This was clickbait.
