Hey, I'm curious how much wood you burn in the Harvia m3? How long do you think a cord of would would last? 1 sauna per day? Thanks

A cord would last a very long time. We burn about a quarter to half a log every time we use the sauna. We split them down to about 3 inch diameter so that they burn quickly and hot.

Hello, I would like to know how they do in such a small environment with carbon monoxide and the moisture that sometimes comes out of the salamander.

Not sure what you mean by comes out of the salamander, but carbon monoxide isn't an issue with the chimney and also the fact that in a sauna session you go in and out a number of times, or you can open the vent. As for moisture, yes it gets damp in there when using steam but the heat causes good evaporation. Also, it's made of cedar which is wood that breathes really well.

Is this the Princeton barrel sauna? I’ve been told there’s not enough clearance for a wood stove in that one but I don’t believe it.

    • @mtmoriahyurt8175

Yes it is. It is the 6 person sauna, but with the wood stove there is room for 4. This sauna is off grid so the wood stove is amazing. But it is a lot more work and more expensive than electric.

@@mtmoriahyurt8175 thanks for your reply! there are a couple different 6 person AH saunas and I've been told that it's not possible to use a woodstove in the Princeton because of the clearance (but it can be used in the wider 7' Seneca 6 person barrel). I will look more closely at the measurements to be sure we're talking about the same 6 person sauna :/ I plan to put it too far from the house to get it wired and just want the authentic sauna experience.

What about the furnace, how do you protect the wood from the heating steele?

    • @mtmoriahyurt8175

If you mean the wood of the sauna, the stove sits on a metal platform. The stove also has a shield that goes around the sides and the back. You can see it in the video.

      @@mtmoriahyurt8175 is this a M3?

That seems like a lot of wood each time you use the sauna.

    • @mtmoriahyurt8175

It's a lot of small pieces. Put together It's about a third of an average log each sauna session.

this sauna doesn't seem like it is getting very hot if the guy is sitting there over 15 minutes! Maybe I am wrong

    • @KenSentMe-
      @KenSentMe- 3 роки тому +4

There is some 20-50kg of stones to heat up first. Basically you can heat it as hot as you want. Most people like it something between 70c-100c but some even hotter. That sauna looks quite small, so that stove will definately get it hot quite quickly.
Edit: And to mention, I am Finnish :)

@@warandvictory3535 Would be nice to know how much costs harvia 20 stove there? My wild guess is you live in the states.
Here in Finland it seems to be currently around 370eur, so with current rate it would be 430usd
