I am an Orthodox Christian Arab (Syrian and Palestinian) and I agree with him. His ideas very hard to understand for those who are not in orthodox circles. Orthodox and Muslims have much a lot in common and they should treat each other has close friends. Hosein is absolutely correct when he explains the fall of Constantinople and the occupation over orthodox Christians is ultimately why we are not allies. As we speak, Russia is competing to be the leader of the Orthodox world. The Quran predicted Orthodox is a close friend of islam. These are concepts that are difficult to understand for muslims, but it is the truth.

He may be passionate and read a lot, but that does not make all his views and opinions correct, especially on Orthodox Christians and believers. I get his tactics, get them to accept the Quran, and everything else will fall in place, God willing. But that clearly demonstrates and necessitates that the Christians require dawah of reverting to Islam as the final piece is missing for them.

Nobody in this comment section has said anything of weight to rebel against what Imran has said. All I've seen is loads of people jumping on the bandwagon to make fun of him...and yet their best argument is that "nobody has ever said this before so it's not true." That is such a weak counter-argument. As someone who is in pursuit of knowledge, I agree with the Sheikh. Instead of taking in and regurgitating what your parents told you, start using your brain and think about what it is you are reading. These conversations are necessary for people to open their minds and see the possibilities of what is going on in the real world today, and what Allah has prophesied. The pursuit of knowledge is important in Islam and yet nobody really thinks anymore. Perhaps that is why the ummah is in an embarrassingly horrific state these days.

You can’t reinvent the wheel 1400 years after the Prophet taught the religion. The companions and the salaf interpreted all of the issues discussed 1400 years ago and we must follow their interpretation not some random “sheikh” from Trinidad.

And you should not blindly believe that only the scholars of past are correct, rather you should examine and scrutinize the teachings of each one of them using the Quran and Sunnah. After all what they taught was what they understood and what they understood might be either right or wrong. Hope this clarifies.
@@maxkellerman4313 The teachings of the great scholars in the last 1400 years was based on their understanding of Quran and Sunnah. And their understanding is subject to ALLAH's judgement as well. So, you cannot claim that they were absolutely correct. You should rather compare specific teachings of Sheikh Imran with the scholars of the past that you seem credible and scrutinize both teachings to reach a conclusion. This would be the proper way in my opinion and ALLAH knows best.

As layman muslim's I would say it is important that we respect all scholars as they have dedicated their lives for the deen and have sacrificed to learn and research on our behalf. All judgement should be left to ALLAH(SWT) in order to protect ourselves from being answerable. Remember our limbs will testify against us.

Dilly has so much of western influence in his head, he can’t reconcile with the true wisdom coming from the true Islamic scholar. Many times during the show, I felt Dilly made a fool of himself. I did find my self arriving at a similar conclusion a long time ago. My heart was convinced but my mind wasn't digesting it. Not being a scholar I laid this to a rest because I felt there must be be a missing principle which i may not be aware of. However, listening to this scholar got me to think again with a feeling of some certainty in my understanding alhamdulillah...may Allah give us the ability to better understand the intent of the Quran.

Imran Hosein is a great sheikh. He has his faults like many unfortunately, and generally I would not advise one to obtain Islamic knowledge from him. However, his political analysis on certain issues tend to be against the status quo, and is generally what i share with him. Many muslims like to continue the victim game, particularly in the case with the 'Uyghur Genocide'. I dont blame them, that it is quite common for muslims to face discrimination and possess negative connotations, though, this is not always the case. I personally do not know what Imran Hosein has said regarding this issue, but I would like to very very briefly list some things: -China is a western enemy -The west came up with this accusation -Since when did the west care for muslims? But why are people drawn to him? He clearly doesn't even know arabic or Quranic linguistics. He shows a total lack of understanding of how any Quranic sciences actually work. Hosein is absolutely correct when he explains the fall of Constantinople and the occupation over orthodox Christians is ultimately why we are not allies. As we speak, Russia is competing to be the leader of the Orthodox world. The Quran predicted Orthodox is a close friend of islam. These are concepts that are difficult to understand for muslims, but it is the truth.

Nobody in this comment section has said anything of weight to rebel against what Imran has said. All I've seen is loads of people jumping on the bandwagon to make fun of him...and yet their best argument is that "nobody has ever said this before so it's not true."
That is such a weak counter-argument. As someone who is in pursuit of knowledge, I agree with the Sheikh. Instead of taking in and regurgitating what your parents told you, start using your brain and think about what it is you are reading.
These conversations are necessary for people to open their minds and see the possibilities of what is going on in the real world today, and what Allah has prophesied. The pursuit of knowledge is important in Islam and yet nobody really thinks anymore. Perhaps that is why the ummah is in an embarrassingly horrific state these days.

And you should not blindly believe that only the scholars of past are correct, rather you should examine and scrutinize the teachings of each one of them using the Quran and Sunnah. After all what they taught was what they understood and what they understood might be either right or wrong. Hope this clarifies.

So, you cannot claim that they were absolutely correct. You should rather compare specific teachings of Sheikh Imran with the scholars of the past that you seem credible and scrutinize both teachings to reach a conclusion. This would be the proper way in my opinion and ALLAH knows best.

Have Dilly went to Chechnya recently?. I have watched Scott Ritter and he went to Russia and also visited Chechnya. He explained what had happened during the Chechnya war and what Putin did to stabilize that region. Today Chechnya is massively developing and they still have their Islam there. We should also looking into the geopolitics aspect aw well and not just focus on one aspect only.

I did find my self arriving at a similar conclusion a long time ago. My heart was convinced but my mind wasn't digesting it. Not being a scholar I laid this to a rest because I felt there must be be a missing principle which i may not be aware of. However, listening to this scholar got me to think again with a feeling of some certainty in my understanding alhamdulillah...may Allah give us the ability to better understand the intent of the Quran.

2. he said he is a student of serious scholarship and asked to be refuted.
3. I would prefer he didn't insult people.
4. he says "My first major source is the Quran."
5. He might have been shocking on some issues, and right on some; that is scholarship.
6. He invites people to critical reasoning not "blind memorizations" or "philosophy".
7. his method of Dawah towards the Orthodox is very "unconventional".
8. The folks who did is Takfeer have to "answer to ALlah"
9. He believes external folks are inspiring what he called "Bogus Jihad" in Uyghur lands, and that the approach of CHina is wrong.

Imran Hosein is a great sheikh. He has his faults like many unfortunately, and generally I would not advise one to obtain Islamic knowledge from him. However, his political analysis on certain issues tend to be against the status quo, and is generally what i share with him.
Many muslims like to continue the victim game, particularly in the case with the 'Uyghur Genocide'. I dont blame them, that it is quite common for muslims to face discrimination and possess negative connotations, though, this is not always the case.
I personally do not know what Imran Hosein has said regarding this issue, but I would like to very very briefly list some things:

-Since when did the west care for muslims? Or is it just a propaganda warfare?
-Promotion of ALL religions, even chinese religions, is forbidden in China, as it is up to the individual to take his own path and learn for himself, and China is a Secular country
-Religious freedom is allowed, as in, you are allowed to practice your religion, just do not 'promote' it.
-Xinjiang laws are different than that of the rest of China
-Xinjiang, as an autonomous region especially, is that so the local authority implement legislation
-The rest of China is 10000000% fine to practice Islam
-Xinjiang has some issues...this will be explained
-the ETM group is a chinese offshoot of al9aeda.
-they are islamic extremists, funded by america, exactly like 1S1S and Al9aeda
-They committed numerous atrocities and are a threat to China's security
-China is strict in whatever they do

You should research the subject further. There are others from the scholars who arrived at this conclusion.
But why are people drawn to him? He clearly doesn't even know arabic or Quranic linguistics. He shows a total lack of understanding of how any Quranic sciences actually work.

I remember a scholar saying there is no repetition of a single verse in the Qur’ān. This Meaning, apparently repeated verses have different meanings and / or implications, yet our centers of learning are just churning out repetitious characters and not ponderers.
