We're part of a unique generation. A lot of people that have had an entire realm of games cut off completely (save for archives I guess). You can't recreate Flash games the same as retro games, there's something special about them.
100% Agree and always amazed by the support all these years later! Though I'd say the flash community at large is responsible - Newgrounds is very much the heart and soul in a lot of ways, but there are many sites (like Armorgames - the publisher of the game itself) that clocked in many millions of views and loads of support from the fans!

Good ears! This is an extended version I wrote back in ~2008, and made some tweaks to it, which is probably what you're hearing. I would go back and tweak it right now, but I'm holding off until I write the music for Sonny 3 --- then I'll create a giant OST of Sonny 1, 2 and 3 music all remixed and remastered. If you can be a bit patient, it'll be worth the wait :)
The absolute Madlad, you really did it! I hope you know just how much your music alone brought together an entire generation. You and Krin deserve a ton of cred for putting together such a masterwork of games and their OST's. Your music and Sonny inspires a lot of my own artistic work, as well as my book. Props.
David, this is more than "a few tweaks". You've cleaned up the instrumentation and added variations, depth, "mood progression", and more that brings this from an already epic game track to a fuller and deeper orchestral piece. My most notable part (right now at least) is the "heavenly choir" you added at around 2:00 . When I hear this, my eyes close, my head tilts up, my chest puffs out, shoulders go back, and arms outstretch, and I feel like I'm being lifted up (like a healing spell/buff). Then, at just the right time 2:21 those xylophone-type pings bring me right back down again as the next "chorus" plays and brings me once again into the midst of combat

This game series is such a BIG part of my childhood. I must have been 9 when I was first introduced to it, now i'm 17. Hearing this news has brought back about as much nostalgia as is humanly possible. Thank you for your hard work.

I have a very very huge collection of soundtracks from all sorts of games, movies, etc, but your work on Sonny 1 & 2 has always ranked amongst some of my favorites. Great stuff

The music is great in both 1&2 it gives the game an felling not quite grasped by other games . And it sounds much better when you actually listen to it outside on the game were you can feel every note . Great game can't wait for 3!!!
