Gutted for aj but I think it’s safe to say if he tried that shit against fury he’d get smashed to bits.
Not really comparable, Usyk is a southpaw. The fights would be completely different. AJ had the wrong game plan for usyk and failed to make the adjust when he hurt him in the 4th. Usyk is really good and had a great game plan so AJ lost, not a massive surprise in a fight where most had it 50/50. There was only 2 rounds in it for me. Hopefully AJ gets his shit together and doesn't over think the rematch. He should also get out ASAP and not wait 6 months or more

Del Boy is fantastic... never worried about going undefeated always gave as good as he got, or almost as good lol... Derrick should be the gold standard. He loses fights but because he is always competitive he gets opportunities. I would still not count him out as getting another championship opportunity.
He caught Usyk when Usyk had to make his own adjustments, and could have easily won that fight. Good on him! I appreciate him and Whyte so much, both workman like fighters who on any day are one win away from doing something extraordinary.

Simple as I think usyk didn’t go 100% against chisora or bellew. It’s a strategy to make the top level guys think that usyk will be more easier than conceived. You must admit Usyk was the better fighter, and he is much better than what was seen. Rematch Usyk may decide to go for the knock out punch, which he refrained from giving Joshua.
I think AJ will be more disappointed in this loss than Ruiz, because against Ruiz he can convince himself it was a lucky punch behind the ear, but against Usyk he was out boxed. For the rematch, AJ needs to be more aggressive and make Usyk feel uncomfortable. AJ gave Usyk too much time.

Del Boy is a good guy, but thick as mince - plus he had earlier said AJ would KO Usyk (he conveniently never mentioned that). AJ always been overrated, which was why Hearn was so apprehensive in advance. Hearn's post-fight summing up of AJ's re-match chances was also quite damning.
AJ was always a certainty to lose to Fury/Wilder and I thought to Usyk too (I have just cashed in at Jennings Bet 9/4).
